In this video I'm showing how to make an Automatic night light circuit using ldr darkness sensor and bc547 transistor. This emergency automatic night light can be used as street light, garden light and also as room light and can be powered with 5v USB, Simply using a mobile charger.

You can use same circuit with 12v but use power npn transistor, and connect pinouts accordingly

why not using just the LED and LDR for such project? I think the LDR can handle 12v 50mA so I think there is no need or transistor and resistor.
