There are way too many of y'all in the comments serious about voting third party. Look, I'm from Slovenia and here in Europe we enjoy a literal dozen parties every time we vote, and I want the same for you Americans, but AS THE SYSTEM IS a third party is not viable and will only serve to reduce the chances of winning for one of the two major parties. If you want more parties, *you need reform first.* AS IS, West will take votes from dems and RFKjr from cons. _"Oh but I can't in good conscience vote for Joe Biden"_ you say. Friend, politics is not about you. It's not about you having bragging rights about how principled you are, it's about making life better for people. There are voters right now feeling proud of themselves for not voting Biden in 2020 when in practice all they've done is risked hundreds of thousands if not millions of Americans having much worse lives under Trump. Your country gains nothing from you feeling better about your voting record, but it does by ensuring a Republican is not in office, any office. I don't like it either, but AS THE SYSTEM IS you're gonna have to choose between one of the two major parties. And if you're progressive at all, or left of center even a bit, or want better working conditions, or a more stable economy, or less far right nonsense, it's gonna have to be a democrat. LEARN FROM YOUR ENEMIES: if Trump ran as an independent or third party candidate and took just 2-5% percent from the GOP voting block, democrats have a sure victory.
I desperately want unity on the left & would vote accordingly IF I saw the unity. The online leftist community & news are always against each other for “new” or hot takes. I think we would notice leftist leaders/media uniting WITH a coherent message & strategy.
Same problem lies with the dems. They have not had a message since Mr fake hope and change Obama and even that was kinda vague and hollow. We need a working class movement with clear leadership and no more Mickey mouse stuff.

Man the news won't let you two have a moment...
Independents... first RFK Jr. and now Cornell West. Nuts and flakes.
Cornel west was apparently all vibes and no substance. Just feel good progressive talker. He really exposed himself as a joke
Lots of popular independents will throw the election to the Republican House.
Seems like a problem for the biden white house
There's only 2 right now rfk and cornell and neither one are enough pull to really throw off an entire election.
This kind of steps all over bjg's reasoning during that "debate" yall had
Kyle and Krystal is such a power couple! Corporate clowns Mika and Joe are put to shame
Thanks!
A candidate in search of a party... Doesn't he first need to be a community-organizers-in-chief?
I desperately want unity on the left & would vote accordingly IF I saw the unity. The online leftist community & news are always against each other for “new” or hot takes. I think we would notice leftist leaders/media uniting WITH a coherent message & strategy.
Same problem lies with the dems. They have not had a message since Mr fake hope and change Obama and even that was kinda vague and hollow. We need a working class movement with clear leadership and no more Mickey mouse stuff.
That’s my man and I’m gonna stick beside him.
My plan was to vote for Marianne Williamson in the primary and assuming she doesn’t win vote for Cornell West or whoever the Green party candidate is. This is still likely my plan but I will vote for whoever is polling better and has the ballot access to win which probably means Green party candidate over West by himself.
I feel like this was a very dumb move on Cornell West’s part.
I love the theatre of this!
The obvious game is, ‘what does crystal really think?’
Who wants to play?
Frankly the unprofessionalism of the campaign is doing more harm than good. Watch Peter Daou, he's fishy. Fd up both Marianne and Cornel camps.
Watching Kyle look at the camera makes me nervous.
I am sick and tired of living under fascist rule because people seem to think that the third-party is a viable option. If you really want a third-party to be viable to be president, then I recommend start small and local first.
🙄While you're misusing the meaning of the word fascist, 68000 uninsured ppl die each year because of no universal healthcare. Something neither Trump nor Biden care about.
I wonder if you care.
The Greens have been running small local campaigns for decades, but they are underfunded because they don't get federal matching funds . Your state and maybe county probably had Green candidates you never heard of.
@@user-oj9hm6ss5i actually, I have heard of mine they just weren’t very good.
People here don't realize it doesn't math and don't understand the stakes if Trump wins. Goodluck being able to vote again
@@hippypunkdragon then the Dems need to run candidates people can confidently vote for, not just run candidates popular with corporations and the foreign policy establishment. More people stay away than vote third party.
Who the hell is Peter Dow? Can't find that guy anywhere
breaking: cornell changes his mind again and ditches all the people that were organizing for him
Anyone that wants my vote better have UBI on their platform. I'm sick of these candidates that get reputations for being "sooooooo progressive," but they don't even offer a basic income. Give me a break!
Seriously! Not much point in a candidate that doesn't take poverty seriously.
Want income? Get a job. Nobody owes you anything.
Agreed!
@@meanderinoranges agreed. UBI is for the future when mass automation is a problem
LOL. Sure, 'real person'. Strangely enough the 'real person' who posted two minutes before you said the same thing.
Maybe RFK Jr is going to try to go for the green party nomination? People laughably say that a big government environmentalist is going to get the libertarian nomination..
Kulinski’s Law: Every Secular Talk bit eventually leads to Marianne Williamson.
Don’t forget trump bad
Any reputation Cornell West had, is just burning down. With Cornell West, laughing and putting gas on the bonfire.
Great prof bad politician
Every once and a while I pop in and they are always driving in their car on this same route.... kind of bizarre, after dinner, exercise ... Who knows the same route, they must just get an urge to do their YT rant on this specific drive..... strange brew... 🕊️
i love watching kyle drive lmfao
Hes still got my vote. Screw Biden. Screw trump.
He literally can’t win, don’t vote for him
Kyle’s laugh at Jill stein running again is accurate.
And he voted for Jill twice in the past.
@@brantleyerikyet he’ll tell you to vote for the corporate dem. Like how he’s all in for Williamson but anyone else that runs against Biden is just going to elect trump.
@@John-gi6yh yeah, it’s dumb but that’s politics. My dumb ass voted for trump and Romney but here I am anxiously hoping for Marianne/RFK/somebody not corporate/elitist.
Not against stein but it’s too late. She missed her window of opportunity.
"Judean People's Front?! 😤 We're the People's Front of Judea!"
I feel like the left needs one clear leader (it's so fragmented)
Like a dictator?
There are greens in office... What are you talking about?

Another exciting episode of "married couple talks politics while driving."
Where are you guys going all the time? Doesn't news ever break when you're at home? Do you, like, leave your studios where you film to get into a car if a news story breaks?

Party hopping was cool in college. Not at our age.
Lol at brihanna acting like cornel west was the intelligent vote 😂
I am voting for him. I don't really care about him changing parties it's not about the label. it's about the policies and movements and anti-establishment. I'm not voting democrats or republican ever so that's my choice.
I still hate this idea of candidates “taking votes away” from other candidates. No one is entitled to any single vote. There is no guarantee that the absence of a particular candidate will automatically transfer a vote to some other candidate.
Sure but if you still haven't learned from 2016 and the present Supreme Court, none of that really matters. Defeating fascism so you still have a country to improve has to be the priority. Nobody should complain about the state of the country if they aren't smart enough to accept that you can't beat the system and you either vote for the lesser of 2 evils or stare the greater in the face, with all the tools of the state at their disposal.
No one said anyone is entitled to anything. You are choosing to find fault. It is just a statement of fact that who and how many candidates are in a race affects the breakdown of the votes.
Biden and Trump don't deserve my vote. Neither have earned it
Keep telling yourself that, Sparky.

So protecting Democracy and preventing a Christian fascist theocracy isn't important to you?
This gets more rediculous by the day
Is it possible West is tanking his chances to make sure he doesn't take more votes from Biden? He is definitely the most popular candidate who could run Green Party.
I guess I should have finished the video before commenting lol
Cornel said his policy is to raise taxes significantly!!! He’s no prison abolitionist. He’s no fighter against the military-industrial-complex. He’s no fighter against the punitive-state.
Cornel needs to exit and hunker down and learn politico economics. He needs to take 4 years off and try again after learning the info. Read Kropotkin…. Cmon, Cornel….
Raising taxes on the wealthy is good.
Also prison abolition is ret*rded.
Kyle should just run already. He would have a stronger campaign and strategy than anyone else.
The people's party wasn't going anywhere.
The green party was worth my vote over clinton, but not over biden.
Cornell West is a lovable goober.
Also RFK is fuckin jacked so gotta hand him that.
there is no hope, West shot himself in the foot lol
I think he just wants to spread a message, surely he doesn't actually expect to win.
