The generational jump from the NES Mega Man I-VI games to this SNES Mega Man VII game is just kinda stunning when you actually stop to think about it for a second. It couldn't have been more obvious this was the next generation of gaming at play. So many more and nicer colours, proper multi-coloured transparency effects, proper multi-layered parallax, changing lighting and weather in some levels, gorgeous animated sprites, big chunky enemies and bosses, stunning Mode 7 scaling and rotation effects (not specifically used here, but definitely worth mentioning), lovely 8-channel PCM audio that could easily be mistaken for something playing on a CD at the time, fast and easy weapon cycling using the SNES controllers' extra shoulder buttons, etc. Imagine if we still had that very obvious jump from generation to generation in modern times. :-o

At 45:20, I did not know that Spring Man reacted in that way to a Thunder Bolt attack. I call that a maximum Wild Coil attack.

I think the reason why the wily capsule fight was so hard is because Wily actually tried to defend himself from getting killed by megaman.
