Twenty plus years ago I ran swinging cull pork down to Hildalgo Texas where it was taken into Mexico by Mexican companies. Drove mostly long hood Petes w/18 speed, never knew what condition the trailers would be in for back haul that were usually over loaded with produce for the Mid West folks. I’m a born and raised Iowan retired to Arizona twenty year’s ago. It’s a real pleasure watching you drive, love your attitude and how you row gears so well, you’re a fine example of a true “professional driver”. Luv ur pup, Hi Opie.

I'm driving a rolloff trash truck for the parish (county everywhere else) been doing that for the last year. Of course the parish doesn't pay very well, but I need to get a good retirement so it's worth it. I'm really enjoying your channel.

You are right 2011 was a bad flooding hyw 2 was shut down from nebraska city to ia had go across 80 to go south to kc or go down into ks into st joe i ran that area a lot back in the day.
We could surely used some of that rain here in central Ks. Hope it didn’t get all the crops. Stay safe trucker.

I feel for everyone who lives in tornado alley and the midwest. You've had it bad this year. I live in Washington State on the eastern side and today we're getting winds, rain and below normal temps. In fact the winds are supposed to get bad tonight.

1993 & 2018 wasn't parts of I-29 shutdown do to water being over the road? If I remember correctly, Iowa was mostly an island in '93.
The 93 flood was east of the river bottoms if I remember right.

I trained my Sheba to walk on my right on the right side of the road. she would not walk on the left side of any road. lol My mom took her for a walk one day and came back in 10 minutes talking about what did you do to this dog? She won't walk on the left of anything. I laughed hard. lol I was the only one who could walk her properly lol. I working on my cousin's dog the same way lol

I live in the Netherlands, and Germany is flooding in the south, they have a lot off spare water so we are getting it, but no worry the Government will pay for every damage, really? nope they still haven't payed every body for the last flood, so we buy sandbags and say some prayers.............................

I miss when he'd put longer clips in of him just driving no other sound but the motor because id put those episodes on every night rewatching so I can fall asleep to the noise. Being that for years I drove a truck exactly the same. Hints my picture

Son, that hood is looking pitiful!
Look, I know you just dropped a load on engine repairs, but it doesn't that that much to redo that hood!
A few years ago, I bought a boat, it was a 17 ft. tri-hull bow-rider, and a repo I picked up from the bank, got it cheap, because the previous owner hit a stump out in the middle of the lake!
Anyway, I was going going to have it professionally repaired, but my god-son who was 17 at the time, said "Dad, we can fix it ourselves!"
I had never worked with fiberglass in my life, but Dale (my god-son), had been around it, or knew of somebody that had worked with it!
Anyway, we went down to the local auto parts store, and I bought 2 or 3 fiberglass repair kits, and then not knowing diddly about fixing the hole that went from about halfway in the middle, all the way back, about 4 ft. X I ft., we took the outboard off, and that was a 150 Johnson, and slid it off the trailer, and leaned it up against the side of the garage, and then Dale, who was a lot like Troy, disappeared into the garage, and came out wearing one of my long-sleeved flannel shirts,a pair of my welder's gloves with duct-tape over the sleeves, and my old skill saw, and my welding hood, and he looked at me, and said, "Better stand back!" 😳😲
He took that skill-saw, and made 2 swipes down the middle, and once across just in front of where the hole started, and the section just fell out!
Well as I started mixing the resin up, Dale took a pair of scissors, and started cutting strips, and as he started laying the strips in the hole, I started applying the resin until we built up a good thick patch, and after we let that dry overnight, Dale got suited up again, and he got my dad's old Milwaukee 6" in. bandsaw, and went out, and I swear it looked like it was snowing in the middle of June in Ft. Worth on the side of my house!...😅😂🌨❄️☔️
Anyway, he sanded it all down smooth, and then we went back to the auto supply store, and I bought 5 cans of white epoxy stray paint, and I kid you not, after Dale got done spray painting the bottom of that boat, you couldn't have known there was even a hole in it!
But the floor was rotted out, so I went to Playless Lumber, and I bought 2 3/4 in. sheets of warmerised plywood, and some of that indoor/outdoor grass took it all back, cut it, and replaced that rotten floor, redid the seats, and then I had a friend redo the carburetors in the Johnson, and he had a brand new aluminum prop laying around, and set it on the motor, and when we were done with it, I don't think I spent more than $100 on repairing that boat, and we we redid the tandom trailer too!
While we had the boat off, we sanded it all down, and we bought a brand new wiring harness, added some new lights, and oh I bought 4 new trailer tires that were about $100 for all 4 tires, sanded the rims down, and painted them while, and we spent the rest of that summer out at the lake skiing ⛷️ our butts off, and we had a ball, so don't tell me you can't repair that pitiful looking hood on First Class!
You, and Troy can do it all yourself! Just take one weekend, and it'll be done!
Besides, there wouldn't be any cutting like we did with the boat, but mostly it would be sanding, and applying the sheets of fiberglass, and the resin, and then repainting it!
You wouldn't even have to take the hood off!
Just lean it forward!
And get you a good belt-sander to sand it down!...🚛😄👍
