I have 7 of these little fellows. Absolutely adorable - very active and fun to watch. They are also hardy as per my experience. Pretty easy and unfussy fish to look after.
These guys will make short work of glass detritus works and any other microfauna that is present in the mid section of the glass and aquarium. They also eat drain fly larvae, which are sometimes a nuisance when introduced into your aquarium.

I've never kept Ember Tetras but they do appear to be a nice looking tetra.
They bring vividness to the aquarium with their bright colors!
I've always loved the look of them in the fish stores, but have never actually bought any ????
Then get some???
These are one of my two favorite fish species. Otocinclus(any subspecies) are the only ones on the same level for me
They're really cool fish I've never bought one though
Hey Charlie🙋♂️
I've never kept them either but had to make a vid since they always catch my eye🙌

Nice fish!
Thanks for watching!
I had some yo yo loaches in the tank but they got picked on
Love them, adding 20 to a 20/29 gallon. Haven't decided what size I'm getting yet.
I love the look of this fish, but I was wondering if they would work with a Electric Blue Acara?
Me too! Hmmm, think they might be a little too small😬
Myaquariuminfo yeah that’s what I was thinking too
How are they with dwarf shrimp?
Norman Shigeyasu all good
*My tetras dont want to eat, i bought them and its 5 days and they totally ignoring the food! :(*
McHarambeface hi! Have your tried live foods? Like brine shrimp or blood worm?
What food can I give to my baby ember Tetra
I think a good powdered food like Bacter AE should work. I think they would eat algae from the tank as well.
Do you think they could live with pearl gourami?
