Thanks for this. I have owned a 612 for 15 years now. It’s been a blast the entire time. Not without its expensive problems, but if you love these cars (and you will if you ever drive one) then the expense is merited. What I like about the 612 is it handles so very well, more midsize than full GT. And the noise it produces never tires. It is a head turner even today. The perfect blend of power and handling. Unlike the modern cars that have way too much power to be used to its fullest extent.
Thanks for taking the time to walk us all around your 612. I tend to agree with you about technology in cars. I buy cars for how they feel and sound when driving. e39 v8 M sport touring, e61 M5 and e66 760Li and yes the latter is 6 litres and more economical than the 5 litre v10. However, it is the cost of replacing ecu in BMWs of the period that can be a bind. Back to the 612. I like the shape and 4 seat practicality. Yours has well kept seats, maybe the Daytona leather doesn't wear as well? And some cars have peeling cam covers. So good on you for such a thorough job. My only thought is whether it is worth looking for a manual with the HGTS or HGTC pack. What are your thoughts

You're right, the last elegant Ferrari's, undervalued, huge power and so fun to drive.
Thank you for sharing your experience
Great stuff!

How smooth is the gearbox? It looks jerky to me, apart from that I think it is a fantastic car.
Beautiful car
Jason Statham now drives Ferrari? ; )
