I have owned a Ferrari 612 for 15 years and I have to say that this is the fairest review of the much maligned car I have come across. It is a beast of a car, with very arresting looks that catch every passerby’s attention. Plus the amazing soundtrack, which admittedly on longer journeys can be a bit too intrusive. It is not a perfect car by any means, but it offer s the driver a driving experience unlike most modern cars. Its power is at the right level: punchy enough to be thrilling to drive; yet not so powerful to be scary for passengers and drivers alike. And, yes, my family of four have been able to travel very comfortably in the car as well. My only regret is that the F1 gear box was preferred in so many examples. A manual gear box would be so much more engaging and I might just consider the expensive conversion if I can justify it! Any one looking for a the driving experience of a lifetime for relatively little outlay should consider buying a good example of a 612. Well done, Ben!
Interesting. So many people obsess over manuals that I thought I would try one. Only my pride and joy was an e61 S85 v10 and that was SMG. When that was stolen in the dead of night I couldn't immediately replace it and eventually got I to try a manual converted car. Whilst its engine had been fettled the 6-speed manual box they fitted did not help its cause. It reaffirmed my conviction that the e60/61/63/64 needed an 8-speed as cruising at 70 was a little too noisy in seventh and also fuel economy /range would have benefitted from a still higher gear. For the moment I 'put up with' a 450hp V12.
Like you, i really think the 612 is a fine looking Ferrari. I would consider selling my 328gts to buy one, because I need to own a V12 at some stage soon. Thankyou for an excellent informative presentation.

I used to dislike the 612 Scaglietti, But now as a 31-years old I found myself wanting one in Nero Daytona or Rosso Barchetta with the Challenge wheel and cream interior, it just exudes class and refinement with subtle, refined rage contained within.
Enjoyed that Ben, also your summing up the Scag as Majestic and FF as Ferocious.. I concur. Loved the girls input in this video too, too cute. I'll get you back behind the wheel of my FF again soon. You need more time in it next time around.
I love the shape, especially the side and rear. This car has huge presence, a great soundtrack and a top quality interior. When on sale, it was Ferrari's flagship model, and you can tell. It's genuinely the only car that I regret selling.
I own a Granturismo S and have tried many others, the Maserati IMO is till the best balance of having that dream, but balance the dad life. Stunning the room in the back for 6ft adults in that car. Your videos are absolutely wonderful to watch. My kids 8&6 really love seeing your kids in the videos.
Starting to really like these. Curently one of the cheapest ways into Ferrari here in Ireland. There is one on for €89k. You can see that the guy who owns this really looks after this car, the interior is mint and the red leather has a beautiful matte look to it. Not over cleaned.
I’ve just bought that Irish black 612 from Karl Goodwin! Was messaging Ben earlier about how I’m gonna daily it with my 3 small kids. Fantastic video and very timely to reassure me about my decision on the 612 👌
ISOFIX - You could use some ISOFIX guides. You clip them in first and then put the seat prongs through them to make it easy to dock the seat and avoid scratching the leather. I use them in my -Ferrari- Volvo. Not sure that the trade-off is worth it though as they leave indents in the seat...but as I've typed this out now, I'm leaving this comment.
That’s a great shout John, I’ve not had to use them in a video yet but wish I had them with me in the FF review! Honestly in the 612 the seat cushioning is blocking direct access to them though
Great video as always. Owned my 612 for over 2 years and loved every minute. I would agree it's not an ideal daily but fortunately it doesn't need to be. Running costs have averaged out at £1500 a year (not including insurance & tax), including a service and replacing a few suspension parts. It's a wonderful long distance GT car and on a 3000 miles road trip it was just epic and returned an average of over 20mpg!! I can highly recommend one.
Amazing this is interesting! I’m sure they have the potential to throw BIG bills but one which is looked after correctly and driven frequently… it feels manageable from all the conversations I’ve had 👌
Absolutely beautiful car and stunning. Your little assistants growing up to be such lovely ladies. I love the 612, but unfortunately they are so rare in Malaysia that it'd be almost impossible to find one. My favourite Ferrari design is still the 575 Maranello, just that the test drive came off underwhelming, especially the sound 🙂

Love your video! I own a 2006 612 HGTS in Nero Daytona and my daughters are 2 and 5 - they absolutely love sitting in the back of this car and always say 'faster faster faster'. My 612 indeed has the option to switch off the front airbags but they only sit up front for very small drives. It's a perfect ferrari for to own if you have kids and looks wise they just keep on getting better and better:)
Been waiting for this one!! Brilliant! I don’t think it’s particularly pretty, never have, but it’s so substantial and has tons of presence. Looks almost royal in black and with bigger wheels. It’s my dream Ferrari.
I use mine with my boys, 10/8 and they love it but clumpy feet can take its toll on the interior in the rear. They particularly love the school run. We have an Aston Rapide as well, much more practical but it’s the 612 they prefer
Is this the time to mention the 997 Carrera 4S...? About to take the 612 out for an early morning run with my youngest and grab the breakfast croissants@@dadcars
The best looking Ferrari Coupe by Pininfarina was the Peugeot 406 coupe. Have a look at the 2.2 diesel, with a quick tune (free from the right person) it gets 185 hp and a huge amount of torque but still does 45mpg. You can get a towbar for it too. I towed an E Type from Bordeaux with mine. Good for kids and adults fit in the back.
But have you seen the 406 Coupe? Cool car and good option for those who can not cope with the V12 cost… anyhow I mentioned it as when they came out, many people confused it with the Ferrari as both were designed by Pininfarina at the same time.
Great video! We've had lots of adventures in our 612. The children love it. Completely agree with your summary of it being more analogue than the FF too. I can confirm that the coat hooks do get constantly fiddled with. Ps I emailed you a while ago asking if you wanted to use our 612 for a vid but must have missed it/gone to junk. For interest ownership has cost me around £5k a year in servicing, maintenance etc. I tend to get 12mpg, but having a 110l full tank helps! What next? TVR Cerbera? My daily is a jag XFR, also a great dadcar👍
Nice review! Glad to see some love for 612, it truly is a special car. I am glad you took time to address the looks and the details. The problem with the 612 is that it doesn't photograph well, especially with a smart phone, so you really need to see one in the flesh to appreciate its subtle beauty. But as they are quite rare, many people might not have seen one at more than a glance. Like many I started out hating it but somewhere along the way the looks suddenly got under my skin. I have owned my 612 HGTC for more than 7 years now and it has been completely robust and trouble free. All I have done is serviced it and changed the tires. I live in Switzerland and have some of Europes best roads within an hours drive. I tend not to put meaningless motorway miles on my car (such as waste) so when I drive it I tend to drive it on mountain passes (which is quite hard driving!). But this is want they need and it keeps them reliable. My servicing costs (even here is Switzerland) have been pretty reasonable. Like I mentioned it has needed only consumables. However I did buy very carefully and my time and patience have been rewarded with a solid and enjoyable car. In the 7 years I have owned it I have probably spend around chf2K per year on services (excluding tyres, insurance, road tax, etc) and that includes a belt change. I am not skimping on the maintenance either. I service it almost every year (despite averaging about 3K kms per year - but those ARE hard kms remember) and I am often questioning the service manager, "are you sure it needs nothing doing?". It will need some money spending soon on things like suspension bushes, links and other rubber components as these are normal wear items that go hard over time. But I think to myself, fair enough, she more than deserves it. Something else worth mentioning, you would not believe it, but these cars really handle when you push them hard. On mountain passes I tend to drive with all the traction systems off as the car is so well balanced. Yes it's heavy but it does exactly what you tell it and just flows once you really get into a twisty road and it never feels like you are abusing it. Don't laugh but It actually reminds me of an MX5 in the way it handles, ok it is much heavier and much faster but in terms in balance, yeah double wishbones all round! It's needs to as well, if I left the road on some corners I would have time phone my love ones before hitting the ground 😬. In the Alps, Carbon Ceramics are a must and are incredible considering the weight of the car. Even after 7 years I am still impressed every time I take it on a proper run. This isn't my first performance car. When I lived in the UK I have had around 6 x 911s including 2 x 964RSs and a 964 Cup based turbo race car and did many tracks day there and across europe. But no car has lasted longer in my ownership than the 612 by a long margin. I don't know why, maybe its my age, maybe its too hard to justify buying something else to the "accountant", but maybe its just a brilliant car which has soul if you take the time to get to know it.
Awesome comment! It rained my whole time with the car so I didn’t get to experience it at its best. If I get the chance again later in the year to drive one on a good day I’ll make another video :)
I can't help but love this car's predecessor, the 456. However, this is the first time I've actually thought the 612 is kinda sexy. But... argh... it's still gotta be the 456 for me. Great video and the lil one's are sooooooo cute!
Your children are lovely, enjoy every second while they’re young. The time goes so quickly so always spend as much of it loving them as possible. I hate the fact mine have grown up and left home now ….. The 612 is one hell of a car, if you can stand the fuel and maintenance costs then it’s all the car you’ll need.
Great video Ben! The 612 is glorious and the FF is glorious too. My girls are much older than yours now and I’ve only got two so the FF is perfect for us!
Antother great video with you Ben and your super cute girls! The Ferrari 612 can not quite compete with the FF, but it is still a fantastic car on its own right! Well presented as always!
Well chap, this is the first video i have watched from start to finish (probably due to me having the time this evening!) Ive got to say, not for one second was i bored or tempted to watch a different one of yours. Your content and commentary is pretty well spot on. A smiling face and the thrill of getting a chance to really use the car for a few days 'comes across' well. It reminds me of the times i get the priveledge to drive one my employers' cars. A really nice feeling of getting your hands on a car you may well never get to own (in my case anyway !) Well done, top marks with the style and content creation. Ive subscribed, and i wish you all the best with your dreams and aspirations for this 'project.' You just seem like a normal bloke, a family man. Let see some more videos. Would like to see a mclaren if possible, but im not sure they do an ample four seater, even for little little ones !! Im a full on Mclaren man 👌
I'm with you Papa. Being 65 years old (couple weeks ago), in reflection, I realize my love for GT cars stem from my first car crush around 6, 7, 8 years old ...Jaguar E-Type. 😁 So... the result of this childhood crush? 😉 Long hoods/short rear proportions, luxurious leather interiors (with painted metal OR wood), fat tires, and big wheels, have defined "desirable car" through primary school, tweens,.teens, puberty, adolescence, young adulthood, middle age and up until now.😆 Popular or not... 456, 612, 599, FF, GTC4 Lusso ...and now the Roma... are on my list of the most beautiful Ferraris of the modern era.😁 All of this because of a father stopping on a downtown Toronto sidewalk, just to indulge his son's inexplicable attraction to a Jaguar E-Type circa 1965.☺👍🏾 (A ten year older big brothers romance with cars kept the fires burning, too.😆) Loving and appreciating the art, engineering, and physical sensation of automobiles really IS A FAMILY THING. I have a big dumb smile on my face imagining your children driving on the highway smiling as they remember driving with Daddy. Ahhhhhhh 😊 Feeling a big blanket of warm and fuzzies being drapped around my shoulders...
Ive had the Maserati MC shift from new, great car. No worries. Also have the 612, but its an original manual car, so its rather different. It feels much more connected to you when pressing on, smaller, too fast for me IBH - but old world v12 clack of gear change is very special - I straight piped it for a laugh. Sounds like a WW2 fighter. So, to sum up, you are correct, have the MC shift, its a real hoot, then the 612 before the little ones lose interest. BTW the service costs are less than you said. Always liked these. I've got a feeling that they will age better than the current ones.
Nice video Ben. Altough you made a good job to advertise this dadcar, it conviced me even more, that I would go for a Rapide in this price range and V12 demand......to me waaaay more special car,
Your daughters are totally adorable, as always. After a childhood of drives like this, they're going to be real petrolheads by the time they reach their teens. They're certainly lucky to have a caring and involved father like you. As for Ferraris, you can buy many of them fairly cheaply. But I'm still scared by the maintenance costs. A set of sparkplug leads for a Scagliatti will set you back 1,500-2,000 quid. And every engine and transmission part is just as dear. If all goes well, than you can squeak by for 3,000 or so a year in maintenance. But if anything goes pop, than prepare for a cashectomy. This is why Ferraris are rarely daily drivers and typically are run for very low miles every year. It's a shame, as they truly are a grand experience, when they're working.
What a lovely and informative comment! 👏👏👏 I can honestly promise you this Geoff… if/when I own a Ferrari I will daily it! And report of my experience on this channel 🙌🥹 feels a lifetime away right now but I promise you that
Ooh, 512th like, another memorable Ferrari number! Great video. Remember scanning the classifieds for these when a manual 612 was £60K. Always had a soft spot for a 4 seat Ferrari.
Thank you for posting this video, I have a 612 One to One, that I use with my kids and seats have been a nightmare, I saw in the video that Besafe was the booster you were usung could you tell which series it is. Thank you again for the video. Best Dougal
It would be nice if you can blend in mpg converted to liters/100 km as most of Europe uses that. 14 mpg works out to 16,8 l/100km - but I am sure if I had that car I would never get that figure as I live in Germany...
People simply don't let this car off it's leash to get a sense of it's capabilities. It feels comfortable on the road but then push it in the twisties and i can't describe how the car immediately changes into one of the most athletic cars I have ever driven. Furthermore, the harder you push it the more it responds. It really is one of the most incredible cars Ferrari has ever made. It's flabbergasting what this car is capable of. In the end it's the seats that actually let this car down. You absolutely need sport seats, however, with the seat belt attached to the seat this isn't a simple swap out.
omg I love that those little girls got enjoyment out of hearing a great sounding engine. Hope for the future. #raisedright lol As for the car, I think the 612 is really coming into it's own now. It may not be the "prettiest", but I think the styling is appealing and not overbearing, as it may have once been perceived. It's got a good "cool factor" in my opinion. It looks good, it's usable and modern enough, and it's a V12 n-a Ferrari. Not bad!
I’ve always liked the 612. It’s definitely not an ugly car, although yes it looks weird at certain angles, but to me that’s part is it’s character and charm. The mile-long bonnet is sexy as heck! Having isofix on a car of this age at all is actually quite rare for brands like Ferrari, even if it is obviously an afterthought or someone forgot to make them accessible…
By the way, Scaglietti is not pronounced like you did :) but I don’t care how you pronounce it because you’ve got two adorable daughters! How sweet! And the car too
I like the 612 Scaglietti... but there's big German elephant in the room when it comes to it- the CL65 AMG. I think that's the more accurate competitor to the 612 than the Granturismo, DB9 etc. The CL is probably just as rare, has an equivalent cost to run.... gets the same sort of mileage, has about the same performance oozes luxury on a level that the 612 cannot touch, and is far, far more comfortable. Bonus, you can get them up to 2019- for less money than the 612. If you can get your hands on one.... wow. You can also drop one level and get the V8, in the CL63.
Never really liked the 612 when it was launched but its really grown on me and i prefer the more classic looks over the ff/gtc4 which i dont really like the designs of . I wont even comment on the purosangue
@@dadcars yeh but it's also a very colour dependent car , seen a couple in red with standard wheels , didn't look good. But the dark metallic blue or gray with tan interior and 360cs style wheels , (hgtc pack wheels maybe? ) they were stunning
My dream car is the Ferrari GTC4Lusso T. I want the V8 over the V12 because the front PTU in the V12 scares the crap out of me. Too many horror stories of them failing. I also don't need the AWD since it'd never see snow.
I dont think it is as bad as people think. Yes, each car has its potential issues, but we should not assume it will be guaranteed, except for Maserati. 😂
I had both FF and 612 and now I am still - can you believe ? - considering one of them (in the meanwhile I had an F12 and a California T. TOGETHER with the Cali T, which one would you buy?
watching you try to squeeze into that back seat with 1mm of leg space, then trying to wrap your legs around with a further 1mm of leg space, and then pretending it was comfortable, was the most hilarious and ridiculous thing anyone could help to see. Especially given this is a GT made for long distance driving. I do love the model though, but come on man, made yourself a joker there.
One of the few Ferraris since 1990 that I haven’t really liked. I mean, it’s still a Ferrari- but compared with the gran turismo- these are just so much more expensive- but it doesn’t look as good or sound as good- not any more functional or spacious. I don’t think the Maserati compare favorably with too many Ferraris- but for me it takes the W here
@@brogenville with gearboxes it is same as with styling everybody has its own preference. I have 4 cars, 2x full auto, 1x manual and 1x robotized. All have their own pluses and minuses, but the robot one is the most fun for me compare to the same performing car with manual box. Eg. Downshift to 1st gear is one of the harshest thing that every body owning a robot hates. So I always downshift to 1st before I stop fully. Ever. because of the event and bloody noise. Its just something the 3 other cars of mine can not do...... and there are other cases not just this, that are not necessarily smoth or refined but they are special and even if you stand on your head you can't go even close with the others.
I was thinking basking shark. Either way, I won't be buying one. Can't afford to. California, SL AMG, or Lexus LC500 for me. 'This time next year, Rodders...'
Sorry, but why do you need to use the hand-break…..??? Hold the break peddle with your LEFT FOOT….?? Then release and drive off…. Same as any automatic…..?
Hi there. I own a 612. The F1A gearbox is a robotised manual, rather than an automatic. So it won’t operate like an auto gearbox. That makes hill starts challenging, especially when the handbrake is purely decorative and of no practical use whatsoever. So you have to hold down the brake with your left foot and accelerate up the hill once the clutch has engaged.
@@PepeLePew-c4z I’m lost….??? This Ferrari has a manual paddle shift gearbox just like the AM Vanquish from 2002 to 2007 …. Same issue… When you stop at a traffic lights on an incline you come to a stop by breaking normal, most people will take their foot off the accelerator and break, once you have stopped slide your left foot to keep the car stationary, click the paddle shift into first gear release the break peddle with your left foot and drive away …?? No need to use a hand break…..Simple….…..

Thanks 🙌 I hope you stick around and enjoy some of the other amazing cars we’ve done! 😊
Great video, outstanding car and engine, and engine sound on the down shifts, thanks dad, I really appreciate these videos mate.
👏😎
I use mine with my boys, 10/8 and they love it but clumpy feet can take its toll on the interior in the rear. They particularly love the school run. We have an Aston Rapide as well, much more practical but it’s the 612 they prefer
Oh wow what a duo! Elite level Dadcarist Richard 👏 you should bring one and the family to an event this year 😊
Is this the time to mention the 997 Carrera 4S...? About to take the 612 out for an early morning run with my youngest and grab the breakfast croissants@@dadcars
Interesting, I have a Maserati QP5 S (that I love), but wonder if this isn’t the natural progression… + I only have one “pickle”
QP is far more usable but if you want something that’s even more of an event then look no further 👌😚
I have one in bleu Tour de France and my son, now 7, has spent some time in the back over the years. He loves it….

Haha what! Ferrari V12 video and you suggest a 4 pot diesel
But have you seen the 406 Coupe? Cool car and good option for those who can not cope with the V12 cost… anyhow I mentioned it as when they came out, many people confused it with the Ferrari as both were designed by Pininfarina at the same time.
Great video again! Love that leather!
Stunning! Was hard to capture the colour correctly on camera
Great video! We've had lots of adventures in our 612. The children love it. Completely agree with your summary of it being more analogue than the FF too. I can confirm that the coat hooks do get constantly fiddled with.
Ps
I emailed you a while ago asking if you wanted to use our 612 for a vid but must have missed it/gone to junk. For interest ownership has cost me around £5k a year in servicing, maintenance etc. I tend to get 12mpg, but having a 110l full tank helps!
What next?
TVR Cerbera?
My daily is a jag XFR, also a great dadcar👍
Awesome 👏🙌 I definitely replied if this is the same person 😅 I sent another email reply this week in fact, it may be worth checking your junk folder 😂
Nothing received! I've just dropped you another email.
Family car is an important factor for me. Would love more high end Ferrari etc reviews on cars that have rear seats
You’ve found the right channel then! 🙌😅 we’ve done loads!
Thank you Dad, i always thought the 612 would have more room inside and a larger boot than an FF.
And now we know! 🙌😊
Dang, you pressuring me with that memories don't wait to get a 612. Gotta work harder.
🥰🥰🥰
The option to disable the front passenger airbag exists on the 612 and was ordered with the option code OFFP.
Excellent thank you for confirming 👍
I can't help but love this car's predecessor, the 456. However, this is the first time I've actually thought the 612 is kinda sexy. But... argh... it's still gotta be the 456 for me. Great video and the lil one's are sooooooo cute!
Thanks! I still need to review Ratarossa’s 456!!! 🤷♂️
Agreed- I don’t think the 456 has aged well- but it’s a car I did lust after for quite a while. Never had those feelings over the 612
Your children are lovely, enjoy every second while they’re young. The time goes so quickly so always spend as much of it loving them as possible. I hate the fact mine have grown up and left home now ….. The 612 is one hell of a car, if you can stand the fuel and maintenance costs then it’s all the car you’ll need.
🥹👏
Great video Ben! The 612 is glorious and the FF is glorious too. My girls are much older than yours now and I’ve only got two so the FF is perfect for us!
Congrats man! 👏 my dream car 🥹
Antother great video with you Ben and your super cute girls! The Ferrari 612 can not quite compete with the FF, but it is still a fantastic car on its own right! Well presented as always!
Thanks 🙌🥰
Well chap, this is the first video i have watched from start to finish (probably due to me having the time this evening!)
Ive got to say, not for one second was i bored or tempted to watch a different one of yours.
Your content and commentary is pretty well spot on. A smiling face and the thrill of getting a chance to really use the car for a few days 'comes across' well.
It reminds me of the times i get the priveledge to drive one my employers' cars. A really nice feeling of getting your hands on a car you may well never get to own (in my case anyway !)
Well done, top marks with the style and content creation. Ive subscribed, and i wish you all the best with your dreams and aspirations for this 'project.'
You just seem like a normal bloke, a family man.
Let see some more videos.
Would like to see a mclaren if possible, but im not sure they do an ample four seater, even for little little ones !! Im a full on Mclaren man 👌
Awesome 👏 I’m glad you enjoyed it 🥹 the mclaren F1 and speed tail are the only 3 seat cars I think… I can’t see that happening any time soon 😅
Rob, the "g" in Scaglietti is silent - like the "p" in lemon ;)
I’m glad someone else mentioned this.
I'm with you Papa. Being 65 years old (couple weeks ago), in reflection, I realize my love for GT cars stem from my first car crush around 6, 7, 8 years old ...Jaguar E-Type. 😁
So... the result of this childhood crush?
😉 Long hoods/short rear proportions, luxurious leather interiors (with painted metal OR wood), fat tires, and big wheels, have defined "desirable car" through primary school, tweens,.teens, puberty, adolescence, young adulthood, middle age and up until now.😆
Popular or not... 456, 612, 599, FF, GTC4 Lusso ...and now the Roma... are on my list of the most beautiful Ferraris of the modern era.😁
All of this because of a father stopping on a downtown Toronto sidewalk, just to indulge his son's inexplicable attraction to a Jaguar E-Type circa 1965.☺👍🏾
(A ten year older big brothers romance with cars kept the fires burning, too.😆)
Loving and appreciating the art, engineering, and physical sensation of automobiles really IS A FAMILY THING.
I have a big dumb smile on my face imagining your children driving on the highway smiling as they remember driving with Daddy.
Ahhhhhhh 😊 Feeling a big blanket of warm and fuzzies being drapped around my shoulders...
Ah man I loved reading this! 🙌 🥹
Now subscribed
Always liked these. I've got a feeling that they will age better than the current ones.
I bought one 4 months ago. It’s fantastic but a VERY firm ride.
Amazing channel, stumbled in here a couple days ago and love it :)
Thanks! Glad you found us 😊
Nice video Ben. Altough you made a good job to advertise this dadcar, it conviced me even more, that I would go for a Rapide in this price range and V12 demand......to me waaaay more special car,
The rapide would be an easier thing to live with day to day as well :)
And report of my experience on this channel 🙌🥹 feels a lifetime away right now but I promise you that
Good to see it gets the same MPG as my DS😂😂
Your DS is a French supercar 😚
Hi James.
Ooh, 512th like, another memorable Ferrari number! Great video. Remember scanning the classifieds for these when a manual 612 was £60K. Always had a soft spot for a 4 seat Ferrari.
4 seat Ferraris are overlooked but not by me… more seats = more passengers to make mementoes with 🥹
@@dadcars lovely initial depreciation too!
Thank you for posting this video, I have a 612 One to One, that I use with my kids and seats have been a nightmare, I saw in the video that Besafe was the booster you were usung could you tell which series it is. Thank you again for the video. Best Dougal
I’m god you enjoyed it! I’ve just updated the link in description for that seat :)
Great video, really like the way you do these.
🙌 awesome! I’m glad you enjoy them!
Thanks
Thanks Daniel 🙌 Legend 😊
Great video Ben. Any news on your next car?
The GS will be going up for sale soon 😊
@@dadcars Thanks for taking the time to reply Ben. Looking forward to your next adventure.
omg I love that those little girls got enjoyment out of hearing a great sounding engine. Hope for the future. #raisedright
lol
As for the car, I think the 612 is really coming into it's own now. It may not be the "prettiest", but I think the styling is appealing and not overbearing, as it may have once been perceived. It's got a good "cool factor" in my opinion. It looks good, it's usable and modern enough, and it's a V12 n-a Ferrari. Not bad!
🙌🥰
Enthusiastic passengers. :) Great Review, thanks!
🙌😊
Thanks for this!
😊🤙
How does this compare to the Gransport? Sense of occasion / sound and acceleration wise?
I’ll have a video coming out soon that will answer just this 🤙😅
These kids been in more ferrari's then I've ever seen up close 🤣
lol 😂 I’ve driven 5 now, 3 of them with my children and on camera 😅
“Daddy, it’s very quiet at 100mph”
“Shhhhhh!!!!! 🤫”
😂😂😂
I’ve always liked the 612. It’s definitely not an ugly car, although yes it looks weird at certain angles, but to me that’s part is it’s character and charm. The mile-long bonnet is sexy as heck!
Having isofix on a car of this age at all is actually quite rare for brands like Ferrari, even if it is obviously an afterthought or someone forgot to make them accessible…
By the way, Scaglietti is not pronounced like you did :) but I don’t care how you pronounce it because you’ve got two adorable daughters! How sweet! And the car too
Aaaahhh Ben! Niiiiice one!!!! Thanks again!
🤙😎
Love the looks and size
Love the 612, seems a practical option!
Certainly is! 😊
Have you tried a Ferrari 456? Not as pretty as the 612 but 4 seats.
@@Project40Carsnot yet! I’m waiting for Ratarossa to fix his! Then I’ll film it 😅
@@dadcars got me looking at auto trader now, Fiat > Ferrari is a logical next step right 😂
The boot is not big enough for my daughter’s cello😂.
I’m afraid you’ve no option but to buy an FF then 🤷♂️ it’ll fit in that 👌 you’re welcome 😊
Manual one please!
1000x yes!
love it mate!
Thanks 🐀 👑
sweets wrapper bin :)
Why did they stop putting them in cars 🤷♂️😊
The biggest problem with this model is the wheel design. I’ve seen a few with the 599 wheels and it almost looks like a different car, so much better.
I’d love to try one 🙌
Never really liked the 612 when it was launched but its really grown on me and i prefer the more classic looks over the ff/gtc4 which i dont really like the designs of . I wont even comment on the purosangue
I agree 🤙 it’s got that proper super GT side profile hasn’t it
@@dadcars yeh but it's also a very colour dependent car , seen a couple in red with standard wheels , didn't look good. But the dark metallic blue or gray with tan interior and 360cs style wheels , (hgtc pack wheels maybe? ) they were stunning
You need a shade of blue for one of these things.
I dispel the PTU nightmare myth in my FF video… there’s a solution 👍
The most elegant of Ferraris.
🤌😚
I had both FF and 612 and now I am still - can you believe ? - considering one of them (in the meanwhile I had an F12 and a California T. TOGETHER with the Cali T, which one would you buy?
I’ve never driven a California so can’t comment on it but I’ve driven the other 3… I’d have an FF
612 matured. Full stop. Pininfarina never did botch jobs. More like „if it‘s bot for you. ….Your kids will love it.“
👌😚
Happy to convert it to manual for James if he wants to make it a real Ferrari! 😁
How much that?
Ha, you’re right - it basically has BMW e46 convertible seats 😅
2 very intelligent little girls, Ferrari FF without a seconds thought 👌
😊
The ISOFIX anchors in my 612 are out as they should be - I think someone decided to shove the ones on that car out of sight.
Could you email me some pictures? Or send me a dm on insta? I’d love to see
@@dadcars Sent via email a bit ago - if you don't get them, let me know, as your profile had two different email addresses.
Have you driven The Roma. And of so what are your thoughts?
No I haven’t yet… I’d love to though
Can you list what the Car Seat Protector is? Link doesn't work
just fixed it!
The G in Scaglietti is silent mate.
Just like you should be, mate 😂
Great car but the wheels look wrong, as per the superamerica.
watching you try to squeeze into that back seat with 1mm of leg space, then trying to wrap your legs around with a further 1mm of leg space, and then pretending it was comfortable, was the most hilarious and ridiculous thing anyone could help to see. Especially given this is a GT made for long distance driving. I do love the model though, but come on man, made yourself a joker there.
mate lets see the review of the Ferrari GTC4Lusso -something even better than your beloved FF
I agree, not ugly!
The ‘g’ in Scaglietti is silent.
Go 612 over ff as it’s somewhat “affordable “
True! 👌
Nice. More 🎉
One of the few Ferraris since 1990 that I haven’t really liked. I mean, it’s still a Ferrari- but compared with the gran turismo- these are just so much more expensive- but it doesn’t look as good or sound as good- not any more functional or spacious. I don’t think the Maserati compare favorably with too many Ferraris- but for me it takes the W here
GT is still the pound for pound DadCar King 👍
Both suffer from lacklustre gearboxes, but the 612 is a lot easier to convert into a proper gated manual.
Great car but FF is far better in every way....I speak from experience
@@conner.9262 I think we are saying the same thing. No handbrake on a hill start.
456 is the prettiest
Roofliner needs work
Just not a fan of the styling especially after seeing the f12 which looks stunning
It’s a far more classically styled car for sure
