Typically the LED lead is powered in the "ON" function of the switch, to indicate switch is activated / lights ON..

Yep. You'd think so, but what I found was the LED is a separate circuit, requiring it's own "live" supply. The switch has a permanent "live" supply, as I mentioned in the vid, which allows the driving lights to be activated when the ignition is off. (I suppose there may be a need for this "feature", so I won't be changing that) I didn't show my testing, which I perhaps could have, with hindsight. When connecting the switch to the existing wiring, the LED remained on when ignition was off, as it was getting it's "live" feed from the same source as the switch, which I don't like. The way I wired the job leaves the LED off, until the ignition switch energises it. Someone else may not like it that way, which is fine. Perhaps I should have drawn a circuit diagram. Maybe a subject for a future short vid. Thanks for your comment, it's got that stodge between my ears stirring. :)
