I hope they make the "Pale Gardens" more garden-y. I've heard white pumpkins, corpse flowers, and other "creepy" or pale colored flora suggested. Hope that Mojang hears those suggestions.
I don't work at Mojang but I find that old bugs in software are generally reintroduced due to lack of documentation / test cases. The thought process usually is: "Man, this code is dumb, why would they implement it like this? it would be much faster and easier to maintain if we did it like THIS". And it turns out it was implemented the "dumb" way for a reason.
@@eaglegosuperskarmor Yeah that was my first thought too, it's happened to them multiple times before, wonder what system they use because previously fixed bugs keep reappearing in different snapshot versions too often, as well as them saying they fixed something in a changelog but it's not actually fixed in the game.
it was intended... Mojangster Comment under the MC-54532 "bug"-report: "In fixing MC-275834 we're changing the Slime block so that sneaking is the intended way to break the bounce. This means players should not take fall damage when sneaking and bouncing."
The bug being unfixed so soon is likely a version control issue. If the current ownership of a particular file gets complex or mixed up between different peoples branches, it can be easy for one dev to commit a reversion to a fix without it being noticed, especially if QA isn't looking out for it
I have an idea for the creaking having a drop. It could maybe drop a creaking eye when the creaking heart was destroyed without silk touch. The creaking eyes could be combined with a helmet to make a helmet that made you see in black and white but also make ores glow in the orange tint the creaking eyes has. This would make the pale forest worth the challenge for most players
I 100% agree it should have some special drop since the whole biome is kinda build around him and he's such a special mob. But it's not really challenging TBH. The easiest and fastest way to get the core is to go during night, hit the first creaking you find, mark it's tree, and then go back during the day to harvest it's heart with nothing to worry about.
imagine if the pale forest had an item like for example the heart of the forest which is a block similar to the conduit and makes it so if you place it and there are near by creakings they will become passive mobs that do not hurt the player but instead hunt down hostile mobs
I think flowers with potion effects would be cool; in nature their are flowers that don't smell good. A flower that cause blindness, would that cause the creaking to attack you. Walking backwards to watch the creaking you run into a poison flower or a slowness flower
Every time you see a bug popping back it's probably just a git branch issue. You develop a fix on a branch while someone else is developing something else on different branch, then they mess up a merge somehow (or return pre merge because of some other bug introduced with other changes) and do RC from that ommiting fix branch entirely. If it's the exact same bug that is... If it differs slightly then it might be merge issue.
They have to change the Creaking, makes his eyes stop glowing when it's being looked at. It makes it way more camouflaged and scary because it blends in
So for more context for others. Programing project are complicated tasks, done by many programmes. It can cause conflicts in files if two programmes worked on different features in the same file. To control changes, revert them and so on, we use distributed version control system that holds information about changes in files, helps resolve conflicts in two versions of the same file and so on. Some programmers or teams work on different versions of the same program that are called branches. They have root in one specific version, but teams override some parts of code on their own own separated versions (branches) and in the end it all goes to main branch that contains stable version. Branches can have conflicts with each other when merged to one main version. Person can incorrectly apply changes from old version of code and then bugs like that can be accidently reverted. From what I heard Hermitcraft members also use git repository to add those custom models to the servers and for the same reason. If someone messes up they can revert changes to previous versions.
I was literally playing Minecraft, looked at UA-cam for a tutorial, and saw this in notifications. I am no longer playing Minecraft :D Edit: Update is out!
Being able to obtain pale hanging moss with your fist makes perfect sense since you can do that in real life. You can literally just grab it off the tree (Edit: I thought the moss stayed alive when you grabbed it off the tree irl. Apparently it doesn't)
I'd like to hear what's your opinion about the "Skyblock" related drama, you always take the "Mojang/Microsoft" side, so i'm interested on listen what you think
Hope you had fun. It's gotta be nice to get out into the real world from time-to-time. Hope you were somewhere that benefited from the time of year. 🍂🍁 This update feels smaller than the Wolf Armor one, but it seems like there was more technical work put in. I'm just glad I'll have another use for my Spider spawner and all the cows who sacrificed themselves so I could get a bunch of Slime. (I love the Oozing potion!)
2:13 …is this a correction? They’re propelling themselves with wind, it’s not like the gust of air is getting stuck to the honey and preventing it from blowing, if anything the Breeze made SENSE to be the only mob not affected by it
The shears holding position has no error, only that it is not flipped. It is consistent with the rest of items. If they made every item flip, they would be positioned the same on both hands, but may loo weird on third person.
1.55 I know: most developers don't actually understand their code, their colleagues code and versioning software. What happens is they have merge conflict, and quickly get that away (while this is actually a very important step, that you need to carefully execute). Several tens or hundreds of developers did that today, most don't know they did yet.
