I just read that the video Heaven was filmed in keiv on Nov 20,2021. Two of the dancers are currently under shelter there. I pray they are all right
i seldomly listen to german music, even though it's my fathers language and i speak it fluently like a native. neither music nor lyrics are my cup of tea and the disturbing parts of the video are not able to make it better. very exchangable, the vocals not very remarkable compared for example with jinjer. what i know from my experience is, that the german music market is very sales-orientated. if bands want to have success they need to meet the taste of as many people as possible to be played on the radio, for example. which flattens the curve of quality and makes the music quiet exchangable. there are for sure exceptions and the shown artist here is for sure not main stream, but compared to scandinavian music i miss some quality. the scaninavian market is much smaller, the bands have to be more experimental and open and often members of bands come from totally different genres or/and are playing in very different music styles. i know one guy who plays in 12 different bands and his schedule during iceland airwaves festival is brutal.
