- As we roll into California for JJ's Arm Drop race and get ready for testing Friday Night, Andy and JJ Lock in a grudge race first pair down straight off the trailer! It was a photo Finish as both trucks crossed the finish line sideways and Andy Ralls Bumper just barely out in front of Ole Heavy!

I am confused, if you lose traction with the engine only putting out 40 percent of its power, then I would think you would have had no chance of it hucking up with even close to 100 percent power. Am I missing something?

What I like about a lot of these cars is how beautiful they are. You look at most race cars and they are plastic stapled over tubes. Jj’s truck isn’t like that...It’s a damned truck. A real one. Something that began life the way hot rods are supposed to, as somebody’s daily driver until one day a maniac with some extra cash buys it and starts cutting and chopping and adding and subtracting until the whole thing has been honed into a machine with just two purposes: Go faster than the designers ever dreamed anything but a bullet would go, and look good. That second one is why I keep watching this stuff, but I watched exactly one IHRA race in my whole life and don’t remember who won.

They want jump all over those quarters any more being ol heavy has gone full chassis which most of there stuff is now..and the rest will be within another year..just as okc went from all back half to full chassis cars..it's the nature of racing & nothing to do with being "REAL".your speed is restricted by only your money.....but not jj,he's real,he keppin it a 100...according to all his nut swingers

Excuses excuses , that Memphis crew wins most of their races by jumping the arm drop . When they get caught the excuses fly , trying to burn them down etc etc . Anyone racing that shady bunch on an arm drop by JJ gets what they deserve . They'll have a hard time getting races this year because everyone is on to them.
If it's a chase, it's a race.
Arm drops are in no way and advantage to anybody unless you don’t know how to race! If you feel like that stick to the track! You have no place on the street
