We already know that Rev is on the chainsaw equipment. It bolts on ETB and when something dies, the chainsaw gets rev counters that determine the +X/+0.

Yeah I got annoyed that they've only been using her as a "cookie crumb" character that exists to leave clues and suffer in horrible ways before the story even starts, style character.
Such a better blue planeswalker than Jace (does actual research, actually uses their research, and similar). While Jace is just a whiny brat that spends more time evading his "earned responsibility", than working through that responsibility.

With "A frame designed for an Un-Set", he possibly means Meld [which technically came from B.F.M. in Unglued] or possibly Augment.
The Character from Alpha flavor text we have:
-Najib of El-Abar Castle [Dwarven Demolition Team]*
-Angus [Elvish Aechers]. this is possibly Andus Mackenzie from Legends
-Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar, author of the Underworld Cookbook [Granite Gargoyle], both As... and his book were in Modern Horizons 2, so maybe they are becoming Standard Legal
-Gnerdel, Ogre Philosopher [Gray Ogre]*
-Norin the Wary [Jade Statue]
-Pashalik Mons [Mons's Goblin Raiders], was a card in Dominaria Remastered

Those marked with * have not received any cards, of these Justina maybe makes sense in a murder mystery because the flavor text referred to "Evil Ones" coming to kill her and Prophecies.

as an Evil Eye player I must appreciate the addition of new eyes, but beyond that I don't have high hopes
Literally the only character mentioned in Alpha that is still alive is maybe Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar and only because she doesn't have a mention of when she lived in the timeline.
The only other option is Pashilik Mons, but we saw his decendant Rulik Mons, who is still in Standard.
(technically there's also an Orc Philosopher named Gnerdel who believes eating Vegetarians is lesser than eating Carnivors, but she doesn't have a card yet and is only mentioned on a single card)
I'm extremely convinced that the character who was on Alpha Flavour text is Asmoranomardicadiastinaculdacor, who was referenced on the Alpha Granite Gargoyle and was printed in Modern Horizons 2 she's the lady with the Underworld Cookbook and this is oddly fitting for this set...I decided to just look through Alpha flavour text...because why not.
Actually scratch that...I kept looking and I found Norin the Wary on Jade Statue...there's no way they're leaving out MtG's biggest coward out of the haunted house set.

0:26 "Technology" frame first designed for an Un set sounds like probably acorn cards. It's not physical technology, but it's an addition to the technical specification of the game and is part of the "technology" of their balance schemes. I assume as a way to introduce cards that share the horror flavor of the set, but are too weird to make wholly legal cards.

Because they cancel each other out. And normally they do something like undying/persist which would be able to really abuse the cancel out mechanic.
@@Hanmacx they specifically *never* put +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters in the same set because it's a huge bitch to track

Duskmourn is just a cast of diverse characters entering an escape room. Magic reminds me the uncle who used to be cool back in the day but now he is reduced to using weird slang that was relevant 10 years ago because he thinks that's how young people talk.

What? You don't want to read the story that starts off with all the main characters getting a the plot has no stakes do over "shard" so they could kill every main character but not affect any future story?

I am sorry to inform you, but Tamiyo is dead in the story. Unless she somehow magicly ressurects, she's not going to appear again as a Planeswalker or Creature card in Magic. Which makes it even stranger what that rules text is going to reference (it's probabl going to be on the new Nashi card though)

I believe that they did NOT test anything for this set, at all.
Half of the "spoiled" cards are literally going to ruin every single format.
Watch they are going to print a card that has protection from counter spell.

Hi Des. Unrelated to the video so delete if this is a dick move (sorry I just don't get to see you live enough and wanted to share what i have been reduced to). I have created what might be the best win rate deck I've ever seen in non standard brawl. Terrible control garbage and I hate myself for it but I've had enough trying to have fun against these stupid alchemy cards. I named "No More Fun" and thought you would totally do the same.
