I'm a big fan of the 3rd edition basic lands, they're worth at least a buck or two for resale. I love playing with them in decks personally due to the nostalgia they evoke. For what its worth Simulacrum can be a very interesting card for commander in certain decks, you can't use it if your life total hits zero but for those big swingy plays where its no an outright kill against you you can really turn the game, the oracle printing of it is really interesting as it counts as gaining life. "You gain life equal to the damage dealt to you this turn. Simulacrum deals damage to target creature you control equal to the damage dealt to you this turn."

I have to beg my girlfriend to play with me or I play on MTG Arena. I should build a deck though next time I head to the city and hit up a LGS so I can learn the format 😀
Very nice old cards. Honestly any cards worth under a $1 market price should be considered bulk and would be sold at bulk price, so the cards themselves weren't worth $100 by any means, if they were to be re-sold. BUT that very nice condition old box they came in is also valuable to the right people. throw in the Wrath of Gods and some of the other value commons that were in there, and I would say you did alright. Plus the fun of getting it and looking through it is nice. And those old cards are beautiful and sentimental for me, so I wouldn't be upset had I bought it myself. Nice video, and nice cat lol
Thanks for the feedback! I do consider anything less than $1 bulk, but big numbers equals better for UA-cam, so I kept in the values of the bulk lol. Not sure if I'll do cut out bulk prices for future videos. I'll think about it. I don't plan on selling it anyway. These are the first Revised cards that I own, so I'm going to cherish them. I also love the box too. Everything was in surprisingly good condition 😃
I only played in '94-'95. Played a black & white deck against my HS friends, who were terrible at this game. I wrecked them with pestilence & lord of the pit (I had 2 of these) while I enjoyed my circle of protection-black. Think my mom threw my cards out .....
I wish I would have played more when I was younger. I grew up during the Pokemon craze (I'm 33 now), and all my friends were into that. Happy I found MTG now though! Shame about the cards.
People know what they are selling and put it in a pretty box. I’m sure people would sell you a real collection at 20% off TCG, but people want to pay $50 and find a power 9, dual land, or Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, Revised , Arabian Nights etc.
@@squashmeee The only way to hit big, is at 80+ year old parents of GenX estate/garage sales or befriend a 50+ year old Magic player and trade yard work for Magic cards. Post an add, will work for Magic cards. 🤣
It was an auction I bought it from. Seller sold the lot and flicked through a few cards in an attached video but not all of them. Definitely possible that he purposely showcased some of the best cards to drive the price up. I live in SE Asia though. MTG isn't popular here. You can sometimes find really good deals on old collections that have somehow found their way here. I think donated goods from the west end up in the hands of people here that resell on Facebook Marketplace.

Sadly true. I only saw 1 revised rare. If the seller bought it sealed it would be more rares

Were any of the fourth edition cards glossy? If so, you might have alternate fourth edition cards, which would drastically increase the value.
