1 teaspoon of chilli paste (optional)
1 teaspoon of light soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon of sesame seed oil
2 teaspoons of kechap manis (indonesian sweet soy sauce)

dashes of pepper to taste
3 teaspoons of wonton soup (see my wonton video for recipe)
I tried this. It tastes soooooooooooooooooooo good!
Great to hear that you enjoyed it. Yay!!!
just tried the sauce today, damn shiok lah! So good! Sauce is enough for around 3-4 plates of Wonton Mee, cut it in half if you are only feeding two.
This was all I ever ate while in Malaysia
So making this at home would be my best achievement
Happy cooking, Thunder Snake :))
Then i guess u missed out on alot of other good food malaysia has to offer
Few years ago i work in malaysia and this recipe was one of my favorite food,
So now im working in hongkong and i very missed this wantan mee.
Tried this recipe for dinner and it turned out great! I did not have any pork oil at hand which would have taste better. Hence, I added salt as a substitute. Thanks for the lovely recipe! 😊
Can use shallot oil for those who prefer it, instead of lard.😅
Garnish with chopped spring onion.
And have some homemade pickled green chillies..yums
THANK YOU!!
OMG this is an excellent recipe! The Pork lard oil is the finisher! sooo good thanks for the recipe!!
Hehe thank you. Glad that you enjoyed it! We just had this for lunch yesterday too 🤓🤓
Living in East Malaysia, this dish is a rarity and often times only have it when I’m on vacation on the west. And when I did, I would have it almost as often as I could
Tried this today and my husband said it’s like pontian lol! Thanks for the easy recipe!
If it's Malaysian style, for certain it will be superior...
Yeah Superior dark soy sauce is the best.
Super easy and yummy! I just made this today. I used dried noodle since the asian store lady said, its easier for beginner.💕
Thanks so much for the recipe.
You’re most welcome, Jessica!
I just missing those days spend in malaysia,i love wantan mee❤️😍 one of my fvt dish
Hi Sampath, Malaysian food is one of the yummiest in Asia. We love it too :))
@Spice N' Pan The Chicken noodle soup i had was in malaysia. i still remember it cost 20cents per bowl. The noodle n a little bit of bean sprout are already in the bowl, just pick up the one you like and they will pour the hot soup onto it and that's it. it doesn't matter to me whether s'pore or m'sia i want them both, cheers.
Omg... I made this!!!! Amazing recipe. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Woohooz! Thank you so much for letting us know. Yippee yippee! 🙏🙏🙏

how to loosen up those packed wonton noodles found at the refrigerated section of supermarket? any tips?
Hi, great video! Could you please tell me what's the specific brand of dark soy sauce and Kecap Manis I need to use ? I find that that's what make or break the recipe. Thank you!
Hi Tong. May I know where do you stay? I noticed that the brands of dark soy sauce are usually different in many countries. If you’re in Singapore, you can try chicken rice soy sauce from Kwong Cheong Thye. If you’re in malaysia, You can get any brand that says thick premium dark soy sauce - along this line. We haven’t tried enough brands in Malaysia to let you know which one is better. If you’re using the ones from Malaysia, you don’t need to add sugar to the sauce coz usually Malaysian dark soy sauce is quite sweet already. Hope this helps.
I'm in the US. Anything remotely close to replicate Dry Malaysian Wonton noodle?
Hi! Thank u for sharing this recipe. Can I know if the dark soya sauce is sweet or salty kind? Any brand u could recommend pls? Tks!
Could you make Chicken noodle soup, the type you find in school canteens 50 years ago. The soup are so simple almost noting in it yet taste so delicious.
+Tramon Tin hihi Tramon. Are you referring to the chicken noodle soup from singapore or Malaysia?
What's the substitute for pork lard would you suggest if I dont have any pork lard?
Hi can you include the link for the wonton soup on the description thanks
thinking what ti cook for lunch today..i'm going to try this..its ok to use the homebrand dark soya sauce?
I need to make a vegan version of this dish, haha! I had these noodles in Malaysia few years ago and really miss it! Thank you for the recipe!
The noodles itself already contain egg.
@@macrick Well there are plenty of noodles that don't contain egg, no worries ^^┼
looks good and yummy, but how to make the chili paste?
I would love to try this! Do you have the recipe for the chilli paste? Thank you!
Hi Serene. You can try using this ua-cam.com/video/e4mS4p5lP08/v-deo.html (with dried shrimps) or this ua-cam.com/video/ZPxZggFRq8M/v-deo.html (without dried shrimps). Happy cooking!
Hi @spicenpans, can I omit the Kecap Manis as I cannot get it from my place
Hihi Sin Yao. You can replace it with premium dark soy sauce and some sugar. Hope this helps.
Delicious! I love cooking it too. Thanks.
+wanling tay hehe. We have almost same taste! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Is kicap manis same as dark soya sauce
best Wonton Noodles
Awecome
Thank you so much, Adrian 🙏🙏🙏
Sorry. What kind if oil is that after ousterbsauce you mentioned? The accent is hard for me. Thank you. I want to make this.
Pork lard oil...
The sauce is for one serving or
Yum, looks delicious!
What chilli paste do you use? Where do you get it in Singapore, as well as the rose wine that you use for the soya sauce chicken.
Thank you for sharing all the lovely recipes with us.
+Bh Kk Hihi. We used sambal chilli from Taiho. You can buy it from NTUC or Giant. If I’m not wrong, it’s about $1.40 per bottle. The chilli is great for chilli crabs too. As for the Rose Wine, you can also get it from NTUC or giant under the cooking wine section. 😋😋
Power !!!
Just want to ask, lets say i don want the wantons even though its wantan mee. I like the noodles alone in soy sauce. Can i add some garlic paste into the soya sauce mixture? To add more taste...
Haha I think you’re like me. I absolutely adore the noodles too. Yes you can omit the wanton. You can add some garlic oil to make this more fragrant. Just fry some chopped garlic with oil and use drizzle some of the oil to the noodles. Happy cooking!
can please add link to wanton? in your description
haiya......i am sure uncle roger will approve this....LOL
Hi. Can you tell me what type of dark soy sauce you’re using?
Can i replace the chiili paste with thai chilli paste instead? Thanks in advance
Hi Jason, thanks so much too for watching our video :) Yes you can use thai chilli paste instead but the taste will be different. It should be still good if you like thai chilli paste. Happy cooking!
pfft. when i cook those, i put samba chilli, sesame oil and light soy sauce only. still taste good asf.
Great. Sounds yummy 👍🏻👍🏻
Is the sauce recipe stated here meant for 1 plate of noodle? Seems a lot of sauce and sodium to me for 1 person’s share. Thank you.
Msian style wontan mee, really? Wow, must give it a try! Myself a Msian in Spore since early 90's. P/s yr doggie pacing up and down while u r cooking must hv been adding pressure to u while doing tis video 🐶🐶🐶🐕🐕🐕. They r very good & professional in doing tis, it never failed to make ppl nervous to want to offer them some of yr cooking 😄😃😂
+kuchinta2020 Haha we're so used to them pacing up and down that we tend to forget they're even there 😂😂😂 Hope you will like our Malaysian Wanton Mee recipe. Happy cooking!!
hi whr can i buy this kind of noodles
Hihi, we got them from the supermarket -- they were placed at the chiller section. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!
What is the difference between dark soy sauce vs Indonesian kecap Manis?
If I'm not mistaken, dark soy sauce is used to add color to your dish (higher content of caramel) meanwhile Indonesian sweet soy sauce is used for its sweetness (higher content of sugar).
@@hafizamyazid262 thanks 😊
Can i skip the pork oil?
Hi Andes. Yes no problem. Happy cooking!
@@spicenpans ok. Thank you so much. 😄
noodles keep clumping together :( what to do
Hi srsdse7, sorry for our late reply. You probably need to wait for the water to boil further before adding the noodles. Then once you have added the noodles in, please stir the noodles as you're boiling them. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!
break the noodles apart before boiling, dont throw in boiling water still in a clump, shake it loose first
ok.
Happy cooking!
it is not too salty
Yup...kechup manis And pork lard oil. I just have those sitting around.
What a pity. The horrible background music is so loud.
♥️♥️♥️Love all your dishes. Looks yummy. Thank you very much for sharing
