We visited Boot a few years ago now and in one of the pubs was a heavy black oak dresser, it had been in situ for so long that as over the years the fabric of the pub sagged the dresser had become an integral part of the building and supported the ceiling above. We also had a ride on Lal Ratty.

Oh wow, that is very interesting, I guess that is what you might call "fitted furniture" (haha). I would be very interested to see that when I next return to Boot.
Now, there are four pubs in the valley. One is at The Green, but I don't think that is the one you mean. Then there is one on the "main road" just at the junction with the side road we rode up to go to the corn mill (well more like a hotel really this one is). Then there is another pub up that side road, just below the corn mill itself (as seen in this video), then there is another one a mile or so East from Boot Village heading towards Hardknott pass called the 'Woolpack Inn'. Can you recall which one it was exactly?
Thank you for sharing your recollection with us.
Keep well, and kind regards good Sir.

'Peacock' butterflies - No such species as 'Peacockshell'. Perhaps you were confusing them with 'Tortoiseshell' (Tortoises have shells - Peacocks don't!)

That is true, I'm sure that is what I meant to say. Thank you.
