- I've gotten a couple requests on how I have my Ranger 521R setup for tournament fishing so in this video I go over it. This setup works best for me and it allows me to stay organized! Let me know what you want to see next on the setup.

That’s the cleanest Garage I’ve ever seen
Does he just work in the boat? Where's the stuff? The wall of soft baits? the work bench?
My boat and boat garage are meticulously organized. Everything is in a specific boat or wall hanger (I have 10 boats, but it’s because I own a guide/charter business for saltwater fishing and fresh water fly fishing, only the skeeter fxr21 apex and my Hells Canyon flats boat are personal boats).
When any employee takes any piece of gear, they have to make sure they have to list it on the requisition board so I can replace things as needed. All tackle is on the wall, rods are on racks. Electronics/trolling motors/transducers/reels are in the vault. Ive built up so much gear over the last 22 years, it needs to be in place or I’d never be able to keep up. The business burns through 7-8000$ worth of tackle per year.
The fly fishing tackle is easily the hardest to keep track of. I tie my own flies in the winter, and my guys are always taking them for themselves. don’t mind at all, I just wish they would mark them. My fly fishing guides make me a lot of money and work hard. I just wish they weren’t allergic to pens and pencils.
My personal boats fitted 100% perfectly for me. The HC flats boat for fly fishing was designed with my direction during the build process. The pole deck was designed for me, the front casting deck, storage, the SeaDek floors. Everything to my specifications. The skeeter is mostly stock, except it’s Lowrance electronics all around, with a Hummingbird 360.
I could talk boat and tackle organization all day 😆

Dope video, Mark. I think another cool idea, spinning off of this one, would be how you store/organize the stuff that you are not keeping in the boat. Tackle, rain gear, rods/reels.

Labels are key. 100%. Don't tell my boss, but I use the label maker at work to make all my tackle labels. 😅

Great video MDJ. One ? Do you keep tools and other safety equipment on your boat in case of any on water engine troubles? I believe keeping a Hulkman battery charger, voltmeter, tools, fire extinguisher, tow strap, first aid kit, etc are essentialon a boat whenever the occasion arises. I have two storage compartments in the aft of my boat (Vexus AVX 1980) near the engine where I keep all these items just in case. Just a suggestion. It's not only for me but to help out fellow boaters who may have engine issues or are stranded on the water.
Love these videos to see how others do it. 1 thing I didn't see and want to know is your clam shell soft plastics. They are a pain to store, especially keitech style paddle tails. Curious to know how you do it. Thanks

Mark, have you ever had a problem starting or stopping your mercury with the Ranger electrical system? I have a 520R and several times the motor would not start or stop pushing the button on the console.
I'm that guy. I have junk everywhere in my boat. Stepped on a MR6 the other day 🤦
