  • In trying to diagnose the knocking sound coming from the rear hub I disassembled the hub and found that the grease was largely missing from the planetary gears. The factory grease clumped up off to the side so I distributed what I could across the gears.
    Also the left cartridge bearing seemed to be not completely pressed in to the hub. I did have some bearing drifts that allowed me to give it an extra squeeze but unfortunately I didn’t film that part.

    I think the grease you referring to the Shimano uses on its derailers is motorex it has a fluorescent green appearance they also use it in their loose bearing hubs

    Да, туда бы жидкой смазки залить что бы постоянно на шестерни попадала.
