Good luck combining your 2024 crops Haugen Family Farm
Great job running the tractor and grain cart Steph
Great job running the combine Steve
Nice looking beans Mark
Great video Mark Steph Steve Daner and Beau
Russ and I enjoy the weekly videos. Keep up the good work! Love ya!
Thank you Mark for explaining the spreading of straw. Very helpful.
That Christmas tree looking stuff is called "Horse Tail", "Mares Tail". Round up doesn't touch it. which is why you see it so much in Soybean fields and has become so widespread due to Round-up ready Soybean, and other round-up ready crops. the only way to control it that I have found is Liberty link or 2-4D Ester with a water conditioner like Hell Fire or Flame I do not know if Dicamba will do it. It spreads by Spore so it needs to be controlled early and new crops of it may come up several times though out the year until all the spore has sprouted.
Thanks for the great video keep up the great work you do on your family's farm
I agree with others, thank you Steve for visiting with us. Anyone can answer this. What is meant by solid seeding?
It's just what we call it when we plant beans with an air seeder.
Thank you sir
Good seeing your Dad on this video. Your recommendations on the Power Cast were appreciated. It just goes to show that engineers are not always right. IMO, Deere engineers today do not spend enough time in the field listening to customers like you. (I was a Deere engineer for 36 yrs.). I hope you are not hurting Stephanie’s feelings by running that hi-speed disk. 😁
lol. My feelings weren’t hurt, we take turns.
Wow, your dad put that combine in a power slide on that corner moving to the next field👍
Five star vid💫
Thanks for the video. The small details can make a big difference.
Hey.. your Dad made a cameo.. nice to hear his take on things. Your bean plants? Looked like healthy yield? Is there a good seed in count per pod? Is the plant kinda tall? Pods up high? Miss Stephen is a good Buggy driver.. please let her know I did wave when she went by.
How many operating hour will it take to harvest your beans? What is your biggest stumbling block that slows your bean harvesting? Do you store your grain onsite or do you participate in a local coop storage
Thanks to everyone. Mark, Steph and dad!!! Great job. Started beans here in NE Ohio and planting winter wheat right behind the combines. Stay safe.
An ag crew at work harvesting is very nicely shown. Thank you.
Great job gang! Got a great weather window to hammer it out! Been a little blowy here though! Keep on rockin! Standing by in Say-Lo!👍🏻🇺🇸
Hard to believe that it's harvest time already. We're really doing it Harry lol
That's a whole lot of pork n beans. 😂
As you go north, even 20" corn seems to have greater yield advantages!
Great info on the spreader!
Thanks
Thanks for the great information on the combine paddles Hollywood, actually very good point, usually you can see them throwing clumps of residue out , but yalls throws it out like in a mist, looks awesome, y'all are getting wr done, another great video, thank you 🇺🇲👍🤙💪✊🇺🇲
Great video guys
Good looking beans
Provonis works fairly well on mares tail
Thanks
What did you buy at Larson implement in Cambridge to get that shirt? The dealer is a few miles away.
I honestly can't remember... I'll have to see if Steve remembers
Hey future Mark just wait until Saturday the 5th uffda that was breezy.
Yes it was. We lost power for half a day. Lot of chainsaws running. Have a safe fall!
Definitely was a windy one.
You probably know it but dicamba or 24d in the fall helps with the marestail control
Enlist and Liberty post worked for us.
Just curious, what maturity soy beans are you guys planting up there?
01 maturity
Where’s Steph been?? I miss her last 2 videos no Steph???
I was in the last one. Was not feeling well this past week, so that’s why you didn’t see me in this one.
Did not see DANER
We will make sure he makes an appearance in the next one.
I wish to witness farming not your face!
Great job running the combine Beau
