Dude, we just fixed our strimmer after watching this video. Awesome thank you.
Glad it helped!
Wished there was a repair place like you near by to me. Everyone only takes name brand, won't touch anything they've "diagnosed" over the phone as can't be arsed with that job, basically just replace brushed for you and that's it
Love the videos dean long may they continue. You need to do a slam counter one day to see how many times you gently lift and place the tool on the table during the intro.
What a wicked 'Webb' we live. Well, 'tangled', in this case.
Nice, simple fix and let's hope it saves many another from being dumped.
Thats mighty thick line ,i have a 500w strimmer and have experimented with line thicknesses it works best at 1.6mm line .If its thicker it slows down, thinner the line breaks to easily
Actual yes. You are right, I should have coped onto that one.
These little strimmers only take very light gut.
Nice job Dean.
Another man who you have saved a few bob.
What i find is the motor in he head breaks and twist the wires off i usually install a couple or screws to retain it and it works for a long time
Out of curiosity, do you think your videos have helped bring in more customers?
Yes, but this is not my hardware shop. I am only an employee, so these videos are not to bring in work, they are only to help others do these repairs themselves.
This repair shop cannot take on any extra customers, so anyone other than customers who bought tools here cannot send tools in.
Hey, we’re not sure that weedeater really does work. You need to get out in the yard and do some trimming for so we’ll know for sure that it works good. I got one just like it works the same way but it’s a different brand but probably made in Japan too so but it works good, I was glad to see you work on something. I could understand all that other stuff is only you know how in the world you put it all together well anyway nothing your time I’m from Tallahassee. I’m from Tallahassee Florida Fred watching all the time out.
Bosch do their own repairs, mostly. I deliver and collect pallets of their tools every day. Coincidentally, I collected a load today going back to Northern and Southern Ireland.
If I were you I would place an announcement: Warning!!! Dirty tools double the price.
That design made me assume it was Bosch, which is probably the whole idea.
The head design is used by several makes. They clogs up so easily & are difficult to clear.
Could you tell me anything about makita rebar tier
Yes, they are extremely over complicated . You would need to be familiar with how sequential mechanical processes work in a mechanical system.
No Hilti grease for longevity? 😊
Yeeesh. 😳 ld of thought for sure there’d be poop jammed in there amongst all that grass. Why? We’ve got a dog that poops in random spots on our lawn and sometimes in long grass. Not fun hitting poop at full tilt with my line trimmer. Nope.
I was sprayed in the face with dog poop strimming a field gateway once. Not a good day out.
Oh puke! Its one this copping it in the face, but quite another level of hell if your mouth was open at the time,…🤢
Porque no sacó el carrete del cabezal primero?
Se hubiese ahorrado una pérdida de tiempo.
No se enteró todavía que es desmontable para cambiar el cable de corte⁉️
Cannot get the head of. No way ti lockstep spindle to unscrew it. Even tried pliers to clamp the motor spindle of camera. No good.
Often wonder how many perfectly good battery’s get thrown away when these budget power tools fail
I often think about that too.
Thats why I advise people to choose a fairly large tool brand that sells many different tools and stick with it like Makita or Bosch. Or Parkside and Einhell for the budget boys.
You will not regret that choice when you later want to buy another tool and you already have the batteries so you can just buy the individual tool for cheap.
Or one of your tools wears out or break no problem buy the same one again.
@@alouisschafer7212 yes agree living in New Zealand I have settled on a brand called Ozito which is I find perfectly adequate and affordable
8:43 Uninvited passenger there.
There was more than one. I hate earwings.
Found myself chewing one one morning after it crawled into my mouth.
I would have checked if the battery was dead and if it was tangled up before I brought it in. I guess some people are mechanical idiots.
One trimmer line, low power and short run time. Made for a homeowner with a small yard. I will take a Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, or Red max gas trimmer over this hunk of junk any day.
Quality gas brands, used infrequently enough, for short enough periods, can be way less reliable than if you're using and maintaining them right.
You'd be surprised at how many elderly people there are that have small lawns, have arthritis, and need something very light that will get the job done. That's what tools like this are designed for, and they actually work very well for their intended environment/user.
Hi Dean
I don't think this is worth fixing because your time is valuable and this is cheap so you can't ask for normal wages for this work
GOD bless you
At least brush the tool down a bit before you send it for repair
Oh yes. I always notice that in Dean's videos. Mind you, I always put the hoover round and tidy up before the cleaning lady arrives.
I might have a problem.
The head sits right on the motor shaft? Seems like a bad design. The bronze bushes in the motor will not take kind to that and these standard tin can motor spin way too fast (10.000 to 25.000 rpm) with too little torque to get trough anything so id imagine the motor never gets up to full operating rpm and bogs way down when cutting grass.
Even the cheapest Makita strimmer which is around 60€ here has a gear reduction and the head on a separate shaft with ball bearings.
Yes but this is 70 pounds with batteries and charger. So the strimmer is basicly only 20 or 30 pounds. It's a cheap budget tool. For an old lady to trimm her edges.
It's not a makita.
Don’t send a boy to do a man’s job 😂strip lawns not fields but at least it’s fixed nice one dean
buy cheap
pay twice
