    Thanks for the reaction video, Eduard. Glad you liked my act on Fool Us. This was a very emotional performance for me. I enjoyed watching your reactions to the act, and shot my own reaction video called "Ryan Hayashi Reacts To Magician Reacting To Ryan Hayashi on Fool Us". No joke. Ryan Hayashi

    As a HUGE fan of Shin Lim, I agree 100% with you that this was the best performance on fool us. I knew the whole time what he was doing (I'm friends with Ben Seidman who does a version of the coin matrix in his act) but like you, couldn't catch him doing it. Truely a master of the art

      This is too weird. I had an old episode of P&T on pause since yesterday. I read your comment about 2 hours ago. Just now, I hit "resume" and guess what name popped up on the screen...

  • @animistchannel2983

    I can see where this hit home for both of us. He did the mad close-up, and ran the mad patter, and he both made fun of and showed respect for the martial-arts and theatre-magic traditions. He brought in this routine as an homage to the tradition, not expecting to fool them; but he did it so well, so fluidly, that his respect for the art became a mastery of the art. In the end, his purpose of showing became a function of doing, and so he won the prize. Kyoshin tan kai!

    He's the most passionate act I've seen on FU. Every one comes there to promote their act. He came to meet the people that inspired him so much to do what he does. When he fooled them you could tell by his reaction how genuinely happy he was. That's why he is the best act.

    Hey Eduard, you used to defend doing daily videos by talking about the "grind" you went from that to doing perhaps 1 video a week. Curious what has changed in you philosophy? Love what you do...

    • @EduardTodor
      @EduardTodor  5 років тому +6

      Good question. I still think consistency is key, however since going full time pro I am much more focused on branding and quality over content. Expensive clients look for quality, so regardless how efficient daily uploads are for the algorithm I've switched focus to quality. Eventually it'll convert better for numbers too I guess.

    I haven't seen all the acts on Fool Us, but I would believe this is one of the very best. Yes, Shin Lim is amazing, but in some ways that serious, dramatic style isn't as impressive to me as Ryan's patter. He's performing such clean magic and pointing out the impressiveness of the tricks in a hilarious way.
