Yea I thought u were doingengine mods. Not making a clone. U spent all that money on cosmetics when you could have ported your head and got a bigger cam nd you would have a beast. But you settled for the looks.
Yea it was just some white vinyl they use to make stickers. Thanks on the props...its almost complete. I think I am going to remove the black molding on the sides and may add some SS badges.
would look a lot more like a true ss if you painted the mirrors and door handles white, romoved the black cladding, put a white silverado ss rear bumper on it and threw some ss badges on it, just my opinion tho
Yes it was the tahoe limited it was supposed to be a ss but general motors insurance wouldn't let them at the time badge it as a SS so they named it a limited with the same concept as the SS impale basic black spoiler 5 star rims and police lowers package I have one and did research before I got it but I am adding more up graded to it
IT LOOKS GREAT IF THEY HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY THEY SHOULDN'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL .......I HAVE A2005 GMC YUKON I WANT CHANGE GRILL AND LIGHTS TO THE TAHOE LOOK IS THAT THE ONLY THING I HAVE TO CHANGE ON IT...
DJM lowering kit, and stop tech drilled n slotted rotors. 86 the roof rack not a bad idea, and also liked removing badges off all body panels. DJM also makes nice swaybars for tahoes
You know I have been thinking to make a Tahoe SS clone because at first I wanted to do a Silverado SS clone but everyone has done it and not many have done a Tahoe and I probably would do about the same as what you did with yours but I would take it a step further and start with engine swapping it most likely the LS2 or something around those lines because it can't be a SS if ain't got power.
SS= Super Sport. The Trailblazer SS came with THE 6.0 LS2. You do not make the Tahoe sporty or fun by adding stylish bumpers. If you lowered it an inch with those wheels and installed some horsepower gains you would commend much more respect.
just went back to verify I see what you saying about the concept SS that's the round body tahoe mine is the square body limited which is the SS chevy put out for there insurance purpose then they did this SS concept which is a nice truck that they should put out my opinion
i have a 2005 GMC YUKON I WANT TO CHANGE MY FRONT GRILL TO LOOK LIKE A TAHOE WILL THEY FIT ON MY YUKON IF I GET A TAHOE GRILL AND HEADLIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS OR DO I HAVE TO CHANGE OTHER PARTS
Did you do anything to the rear bumper? Would look even better if ALL the chrome on the body was color matched. I feel like the hood should be upgraded as well since the bumper cover doesn't really flow with the body styling.
I have a question anyone what truck the front bumper is from Ik that’s not the original bumper but I wan one that looks like that on the thumbnail lmk plz
perfect SS but needs a few details ... 1. remove the fender flares 2. remove the roof raks ... 3.remove the door detail (the black one) 4... paint the SS vents Silver 5.Paint the chrome grill to match the paint 6. paint the chrome rear bumper to match the paint. and you sir will have the perfect SS
Thanks for the feed back...I plan to do most of those. Going to remove all the black molding and add some ss badges. I thought about painting the grill but im afraid it may be too much white, plus it kind of fits with the wheels.
@@Thefabforumshey brother I'm doing an on3 turbo kit to my 2004 and doing the SS kit as well. Quick question what front bumper cover is that? I'm looking at the street scene SS bumper.
Did you lower your Tahoe any or just use a Shackle kit for the rear to level the Tahoe? What size wheels and tires did you use on the Tahoe and what brand tires and wheels? I have a 2004 Tahoe that is stock that I want to refresh.
myles king I did lower it. I put drop spings in the rear (i think 4 inch drop) and new torsion keys for the front (2-3 inch drop) The wheels are 20" chrome SS Silverado replicas. The tires are 275-55 20 Dunlop's. Wheels and tires are very reasonably priced. I have removed the side moldings also since the video and it made a big difference.
it will look nicer if you white out the black door handles like you did the Chevy sign in the front and take that black strip off of doors on the sides and the black side mirrors make them white to have it all iced out trust me thoes few little things will make it look way different and a while lot better
I looked at removing the roof rails but didn't have any options for filling the holes. The tahoe has been lowered 3 inches, I wouldn't mind another inch or two but its close to the bump stops now. I will take a look at the hood and grill
Don't listen to what these other comments are saying bro. That's a sweet looking truck. Believe me, I know the work that goes into making these things. Nice job and nice lookin ride
The Fab Forums please help me out I have the same bumper but I need the inserts for the two holes on the sides where the fog lights go but I don't want the fog lights jus want to know where u get the inserts u got on yours?????
Nice job......can you tell me where you got your bumper ....I have a 99 Chevy suburban that I want to modify ......the one you choose is just the right size to achieve the look I want ......don't really want a big ass bumper like I see on other rides
TheFabForums.com Ok I understand the change of the hood and fenders. But would it be a lot of fabrication work involve? Changing the front fenders, hood, headlights and grill, keep bumper and SS cover. Replace with 08 Silverado front, would get more looks then 2015. Let me know when you are done.
great video and quite an improvement!! i have a 99 tahoe murdered black 4x4 not sure if shud be lowered or not. cant decide! like the white thou nice. only thing i can say is the front bumper the slip over shielded bumper makes it appear to have an underbite type look to it! great video though. respect for doing it solo too chief!!
The Fab Forums You really should. I want a setup for my '99 5.7 and its like I can't find what I want. I may do a remote setup since it seems to be simple to install.
+The Fab Forums the LQ4 6.0L fits the exact same space as the LM7/L59 5.3. the intake/exhaust manifolds, accessories, all sensors, literally everything except the heads from the 5.3L setup fits on the 6.0L, but buying a long block with heads solves that ($350 at a u-pick-it). the computer needs slight reprogramming (literally a drop drown menu in HPTuner to change the displacement size). that and a performance 4L60e (with torque management scaled back) would make this car awesome.
Ummm....The scoops on the front bumper cover should be grey, and good god please remove the black moulding on the doors, and please drop it 3-4 inches, then we can get you some street rep, sorry but when you post this on UA-cam your gonna get some criticism, just part of the deal
Terrance Kneifl The color of the scoops is supposed to be the color I want it to be, considering I built it and its the only white one on the planet. Door moldings have been removed it was lowered 3-4 inches in this video.

alot more goes into a ss than just a bumper cover and ss wheels lol

I got a 00' suburban and i wonder how it'll look on mine. but beautiful truck. I'm surprised people are saying it's ugly.
you cant win them all....its actually solid white now. I have removed the door moldings

B Saari exactly how is this a SS? You pushing more than 400 hp?
Wow you can cover the bumper ?? Without taking out the original ??
Same question. I have a cover but I also saw the ad bumper it's with the bolt holes but it won't fit my Tahoe
Add a billet pull the roof racks and remove the door trim and it’ll look more like a SS
yeah I have since removed the door trip...not supposed to look like a trailblazer though. Supposed to look like the SS Tahoe which had the roof racks.
Need a hd hood and roll pan to set off
just went back to verify I see what you saying about the concept SS that's the round body tahoe mine is the square body limited which is the SS chevy put out for there insurance purpose then they did this SS concept which is a nice truck that they should put out my opinion

Looks like 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS
Install fogs ! Bad ass ! Didn't know about covers
Good video! I like it, didn’t know theirs SS bumper covers you can get

change mirror caps to summitt white , rear bumper white , side steps from denali also summitt white , door handles too . 👌

Link to bumper cover
Is that the duraflex or street scene bumper
I dont remember to be honest
Is it possible to change grill and headlights on that Tahoe to the grill and headlights of a 2008 Silverado? I think that would be pretty cool.
Yea you can. The only problem is that the fenders and hood also need to be changed to make it work.

So the Tahoe wasn't awd
You should’ve colored matched the grill
Where can I buy the net for the holes where the air ducts go?
