With the Leatherman Squirt being unobtainable. I ended up trying the SOG Power Pint. I’m not a SOG guy and the Power Pint is a bit bigger than the Dime or Squirt, but WOW, it’s really nice.
Yeah I didn't know the Squirt was discontinued when I made this video. I have the SOG on my list to try for next summer. It is a bit bigger but looks awesome
Thanks for the info. I like your studio/man cave, looks awesome. Cant wait for the high lakes to melt out. Last night I was out in the front yard practicing my fly casting, trying to figure it out, gave the neighbors a good laugh.Keep up the fun videos!
It's not a bad man cave! Yeah high lakes should start opening up in a few weeks. Very exciting!!! The neighbors probably think you ate some bad mushrooms 😆
Great video. I have a Gerber Dime but realized I also have a SOG PowerPoint that may also work. It's a little bigger than the Dime but has a nice toolset.
I’ve carried Leatherman Micra’s in my fishing kits for many years. Mostly for the scissors and as a reel mantainance tool. My trout gear I also carry a small fish hook file and a pair is surgical clamps with a curved needle nose type tip, and a small Rapala fillet knife. Salmon and Steel Head...everything gets bigger...lol
Gerber Dime is great! I'd recommend it to just about anyone. I think the issue is that the steel on the fish hooks I'm using is so hard it just bends the metal on the Gerber haha
Man, I used to love leatherman, but they did some crummy business practices with the company I work for, so I can't bring myself to buy anymore of their stuff :/ Gerber was great and professional though. I have used their knives for many years now. No multitools, though.
Unfortunately, Leatherman discontinued the PS4. I have the blue one and it's never leaving the house since they discontinued them. I'm kind of bummed because it is a very good little tool I would like to buy more but they're outrageously expensive now..
Yeah I had no idea until you guys told me in the comments! Guess I'll start testing new multitools cuz I only have one ps4 left and it ain't gonna last forever haha Thanks for the heads up!
What!? Nnoooooooo!!!!!! Of course when ya find something you like... discontinued. Guess I'll be on the hunt for a new favorite cuz if I lose the squirt, guess I can't get another one. Thanks for the heads up

I do like the tool set on that. Slightly heavier than I wanna carry... even tho it's only like 4 ounces haha

Nice. The Micra is a good choice especially if ya already have pliers with ya. I do the same with salmon gear haha
I use my EDC a Leatherman Skeletool CX.
Nice!
I have a Gerber Dime. I have carried it for a few years, at this point. I have not had any issues but, my daughters broke within five months.

You should check out the Gerber Line Driver.
It has been on my radar but I've never actually used one. I'll have to check it out
Whats the model brand for the small edc knife ?
Oh man I'd have to dig up in my gear room. I've been running the Bugout mini lately and I love it

Well that's a bummer! Gerber is a great company. Just want them to use slightly better steel in the Gerber Dime haha

Does it cut braid nicely?
Sure does! I found out it is discontinued though!!
Great choices.. Thanks for the video
You got it!
Unfortunately, the ultimate winner was discontinued last year. No more Leatherman Squirt.

Well.. damnit.
Watch at 1.25x speed so it sounds like he speaks normal
They say something similar about your wang.. haha!
I'd watch it at 0.0 speed 😆
@@CascadeBackcountry jokes aside great video this helped in making a decision in getting a multitool for fishing
Too bad the Squirt is no more.
Yeah that's what someone else said too. I had no idea! Time to find a new "best" tool
