    I love how you take the time to build something, like a splash pad, that reads as such, even though the guests will never use it. Those details really tie your work together.

    love your attention to realism. these usless water pads are awesome 😂. if for nothing else its great for filling in an area which a ride wouldnt fit in, also it seems really fun to build. i would have never thought of doing this but after seeing you make 2 of these i might give it a go. i have issues with how to lay out a park and i think stuff likt this could really help with the formation of a park. great work buddy so glad your on planet coaster 2 😃

    • @Geekism
      @Geekism  6 днів тому +6

      Thanks! Yeah, I think one thing that really helps elevate a build (and honestly something I wish Frontier would get more onboard with) is that a GOOD chunk of a theme park (or water park) is NOT rollercoasters (or water slides) and it's all this sort of stuff, midway, arcades, play areas, trampolines, splash pads, etc etc that really elevate a build!

    I'm so glad that you and a few other bigger youtuber are adressing the constant complaining. It is getting annoying, yes. Even saw someone complain that they had to learn new things... Or a complaint that coasterbuilding is now too easy.

    Watching you make that bridge was really nifty, and the splash pad looks great! Brings back memories. Sept 1 is the first day of spring here in Australia so rain, hail or shine, I'd take out my swimmers and _insist_ on running through the sprinklers. Cue: my mum standing on the porch rugged up in 3 layers of jumpers shaking her head and wondering WTF she brought into this world. I'm in my 50s now so don't do that any more, but this is exactly the sort of place we used to visit a lot in the mid 70s to early 80s.
    Side comment: I recognise you have a life outside youtube, so this should in no way be considered a demand, but I really hope that some time in the future you'll consider an evening livestream so those of us in the Southern climes can join in while awake-ish. [10am EST is 1am AEST the next day]. If not, no worries, obvs.

      I live on the Isle of Man in the uk and we have two outdoor water play zones which are only open in summer months.
      We do have a small indoor water park which is open all year round. It has two flumes which are very short, a tiny toddler slide and water features, whirlpool, and a beach pool which is quite shallow.
      It recently had a refurbishment and they removed lots of the theming such as the rocks and in my opinion it looks awful. The water park was closed from 2018 to 2021. And shortly after reopening one of the flumes was of for over a year due to an incident that happened at the slides ending.
      Nowadays you are lucky to have the slides open in your session which is a shame😢

    It's funny how discouraged I get when the people in my park end up walking through all my scenery that I so carefully and meticulously placed....
    It kind of takes me out of the game so much that I just end up placing standard crap because it doesn't work anyway. Like the picnic tables not doing anything or people walking through 'fences'....
    I spend ages on a nice big fountain, looked amazing, only to find out that people would walk straight through it and I then had to spend like 30 more minutes figuring out how the hell I would make it look nice with the paths... I gave up in frustration because I just couldn't get the lines to work the way I wanted and I deleted the whole thing, paved it with some random shit and just ended up ditching the whole park all together.

    the amount of jank on launch is unreal, but it's also not unique to Frontier. It feels as if the entire industry is releasing unfinished games... by all means complain about it, wait to buy until after patches, etc., but don't act as if this is the only game that's come out like this.
