Very nice! It is really insane the flexibility we are seeing emerge from this game. The inspiration is non-stop. So many cool ideas. Love the rock tunnel with the lazy river. Just a quick "if you didn't know", the edit tool can be used to edit the transitions at the bottom of the pool between the different depths, making the transitions a lot smoother/subtle.
One thing I discovered is that you need to leave space (more than I thought they'd need) between pool edges and the loungers. What was funny is that they had plenty of room to get out of the pool but it's like they got stuck after they started moving. The other thing is be careful with flumes or decorations hanging over anywhere the guests can walk. Both of these things can give you the notification that a guest can't get to the park exit.
Yeah. This really sucks. Unfortunately, Frontier did not give us the option of blocking certain areas for exiting the pools. Edit: That lazy rivers dont work as they should could be a problem with the non existing/broken physics for the water rides and slides. To be carried away by water needs functioning physics behind it.
I'd love more pool stamp shapes! The obvious circle, triangle, diamond, oval, etc. Something I would really love, though, is unusual shapes. Heart, star, fish, etc. Admittedly, these aren't overly versatile, but they'd be great fun and perfect for themed or feature pools!
What good video. Really good pace of explaining and showcasing. Also a lot of small useful tips thrown in. I got a much better understanding of it now and some good inspiration.
Thanks for another great tutorial. I would love to see how you plan out the zoning of different areas in your park, I never know how much space to leave while still having that unified feel.
11:08 ive actually been to a park where the lazy river was set up exactly like that! the entrance and exit of the lazy river was connected to the deep end of the wave pool, so I guess it is realistic hahaa.
they dont need to add circle pools - they're already there! Just round up a square :) it can be a bit difficult if you want to have a circle inside a circle, but the advanced path tutorial that tagi3D made, showing how to do circle paths should work for pools too!
For me, the whole water park feature gives the impression that it was decided on shortly before the first release announcement as a sales argument and then hastily implemented. The very limited customization options for the pools and pool extras, the non-existent settings such as blocked exit areas or pure splash pools and above all the non-existent physics of the water slides speak to me for a short-term and hasty integration of the water parks in PC2.
hey leaf, odd question, but do you do mod requests for planet zoo? cus i play on console and like i don’t have the stuff to mod, let alone i prolly wouldn’t be good at it. anyways, i came up with a lion species, i’ll paste it down below but i was wondering if there was a way you could mod into planet zoo?? “Ares Lion” Scientific Name: Panthera leo leo ares subspecies/ species of lion, closely related to the Asiatic Lion and Barbary Lion, somewhat related to the legendary Cape Lion Diet: unlike their counterparts, the Ares Lion is an omnivorous species, much like a bear. often killing whatever they can find, they’re seen foraging for berries and nuts, and some grasses, also eating fish when other sources are scarce. Habitat Range: found in cold temperate climates in Europe, in mountain ranges and boreal forests in places such as Greece, Norway, Denmark, and Austria, a small population living in North America. Physical Characteristics: much bigger than actual lions, the Ares Lion is almost two times bigger than the actual lion, almost the size of the Siberian Tiger, competing for the title of the biggest cat in the world, males sometimes reaching 1,200lbs. they have thick strong long legs, paws the size of a dinner plate, helping them trek through snow and rocky terrains. they have a rather large, bulky, and agile build despite their size. they have two layers of fur, the top one being thicker and longer, soft. and the bottom one being thin and coarse, regulating heat and heating them up. males, unlike other lions, have a thick, bushy, and long mane extending down their back, often called a “crown” or “the king’s cape”. they have a rather long and bushy tail, almost like a tigers. on all fours, males read up to 7-8 feet tall while females reach 6 feet tall. they have medium sized expressive ears, meaningful eyes that range from a golden yellow to a deep chocolate. their fur ranges from light browns and dark browns to tans, and to whites, the males “crown” often being darker browns, and in white males they’re a more of a silver, sometimes a mixture of whites and grays. Behavior: like other lion species, they form “clans” much like prides but smaller. they have no more than 12 individuals, the clan being led by the eldest male and first born son. the Ares Lion are no solitary animal, they’ve been seen to raise other cubs from different clans as their own, sometimes raising babies not of their species. when provoked, they can be quite the dangerous beast, but they’re rather a gentle giant, expressing a calm and friendly demeanor. despite being a gentle giant, they’re extremely territorial, often fighting other clan’s leader for space, along with their sons. being so friendly, it comes with a deadly cause. humans have hunted them for centuries, the Ares Lion walking up to them, not viewing them as a threat. although not endangered, they’re least concerned. being so friendly though, some humans have managed to tame this incredible beasts and have been able to use them for farm work. Subspecies: Northern Ares Lion (Panthera leo leo septentriones ares) Southern Ares Lion (Panthera leo leo meridionali ares) Midwestern Ares Lion; the North American species (Panthera leo leo midwestern ares) Fun Facts: - [ ] being a gentle giant, some people have managed to tame these beasts and use them for farm work. - [ ] centuries ago, the ancient Spartans used this creatures in battle, often riding atop them bareback or saddled up. - [ ] named after the Greek god Ares for their exceptional size. - [ ] being the gentle giants they are, they’re called “big house cats” by locals, the Ares Lion being seen laying in fields and chasing birds and butterflies.
Can you please put how to connect regular path to the flume platforms In the video about flumes? I’ve been trying and I literally can not figure it out
If you are a console player i highly recommend getting a cheap mouse and keyboard it will change how enjoyable your experience is and dramatically speed up building!
I know this isn't a Flumes video. I got some good tips on pools from this, and have made some cool ones. I'm wondering if anyone has an answer to why my people aren't going on my flumes. The queue is pretty much right next to a fairly full large pool, I have queue path out a bit from the gate on the ground, prices are low, prestige is high, scenery is good as well as the ratings, and I heard that putting benches nearby so guests can rest before climbing the stairs. AND I have a separate landing pool for people, so the pool wasn't full. All of that, and not one person has ridden either in a full in game day. What's the glitch? I hope someone has a fix for this...I've seen plenty of parks where people are riding flumes. I have never been able to get my guests to ride them. Even pre-built ones. Well, a few, sometimes. I think I've made one out of 10 that was working properly. Actually had people filling up the queue.
They will use the inflatables. Set the depth to "swimming" and place a Splashatorium super close by. Lower the pricing of the inflatables to the minimum and certain guests will float down your river!
Maybe I’m just trying to make my wave pool too big, but I can never get the wave machines to work. I’ve got them in the pool, and for a second they seem to make waves, but after about the first two waves it just doesn’t seem to do much. Maybe some tiny ripples, but nothing really noticeable.
I just saw a tip from Geekism about this as I was struggling too.. if you make the deepest part 'diving depth' you can actually use 2 wave makers. That will help. But mostly I agree with you that I think the pool needs to be 'shorter' to produce the bigger waves
You make it look so easy. It must be nice to get to a point where you're only focused on the design and not fiddling with the controls.
Well that’s the important part of this game, you’re not going to be building great off the bat. It takes time to learn!

That’s a handy tip, thank you!
This is so helpful! I think I just need to jump in and kinda build one thing at a time and try all the options

Very interesting, that might be why I’m having so many issues with them!
Yeah! The guests can be annoying and get stuck behind things.
This explains so much

C key - GOLD. Tips in this video - GOLD. The build - also .. gold! Thank you :D I like also your view on some things. Well done content!
Seriously, I was looking for that!!!! Thanks Leaf ^_^
C key scale 😮
Best guide yet! Thanks dude

This was much needed! Please make a flume tutorial too 🎉
I have it planned!

Glad to hear it!
This game should have the pool stairs which most pools have.
Oh completely agree!
@@LeafProductionsthere was a Reddit post today where someone seems to have figured out a way to make these (or at least give the impression of them).
Since we can now place items on paths, I would like to see a way to keep peeps from walking through things with the different kerbs if possible.
I'm not even playing PC2 yet, but this was a great tutorial! Thanks Leaf 😍

OF COURSE! That’s my number one point lol
Splash Emporium is almost necessary for a pool and lazy river, people will buy and use Floats, very cool
When I opened my park my pool was full now almost no guests us the pool at all and not one guest has used my lazy river
Thank you for this, was struggling with lazy rivers.

@ it was a glitch with how big ur pool is i found out… does urs work now?
Why put down pool chairs when no one uses them?
They do. Just not that often. Depends on the season ingame. Also because they look good (: why place down foliage when it doesn’t affect anything? lol
Do I need a dlc for pools because I can’t find it?
No, they’re in the base game of PlanCo2

is it true the maps are allot smaller then planet coaster 1?
I’m not sure myself
