    The dwarf planet, named *Far-out* ... had it's title taken from it by another body that is even farther out than it is ...
    - that body that is further out was named none other than ... *FarFar-out* ... lol😂
    - that's crazy... or should i say... far out man... 5:06
    - the usual 8 or 9 planets are not the only bodies in our solar system... there's alot more bodies that are far out there...🌌

    Would be nice to leave earth and set up a house on some Keiper Belt object. Should be far enough away from all the geopolitics

    Wasn't Charon (1978) the first kuiper belt object that was discovered, distinct from Pluto?

    • @jacklarue7049
      @jacklarue7049 10 місяців тому

      Charon was indeed discovered in '78, however it wasn't until '92 when scientists discovered Albion and subsequently began plotting the rest of the belt as we know it.

    I still can't understand how tome worked at supposed bug bang. Wouldn't what we say happened in a few seconds have taken millions of years if you were alive inside the big ball gravity ball . Isn't our time now happening much faster as mass is much more widely spread. Great videos.. thank you.

    With so many objects in the KB, is it possible that they bump each other and get knocked out of the Belt?

    • @Alirian2
      @Alirian2 10 місяців тому

      It's possible, but the vast distances between the objects makes it extremely unlikely that it'll happen

    • @mikeottersole

      It happens.

    Usually we write stories of asteroids striking earth and create extinction events... What if one of these guys hit any of the other planets and start a chain reaction... Heck, we can't even stop the ones that come towards us, what to think of saving other planets....

    • @ericreid8111
      @ericreid8111 10 місяців тому

      There is not one single item in the kb that can destroy a planet. So no chain reaction will occur

      @OldsVistaCruiser You do understand that a Dutch national and someone of Dutch descent living somewhere other than the Netherlands might pronounce their name differently, right? The topic is Gerard Kuiper, who is a different person from your friend.

    You mention it yourselves. The average distance between Kuiperbelt objects is about that between Terra and the Moon. Please, stop using this Star Trek-like images of a kind of 3D pinball barriers, as reality is utterly different.
