Fly Fishing on Hat Creek - 2/13/24

A cloudy morning on Hat Creek, Donna O'Sullivan caught several rainbows 8-11" and landed them in her brand new custom designed 20" wood net, just picked up from master net maker, Matt Hawkins. The net was beautiful and quite light, worked really well. Thanks Matt!
The rainbows were loving the bead head dropper with a red tag, on Donna's LTS Finesse 8ft6 4wt fly rod, LTS Polyline WF4F and LTS Color2 3/4wt reel. Pretty fun for 1.5 hours of fishing!

That was fun.I fly fished there a couple of times many years ago - didn't do as well as this young lady - a lovely spot indeed

Thanks for watching Henry! Hat Creek is tough, fun that morning and the next day no activty.🤣Winter fishing is not that great at Hat Creek, only for the die hards.😆
