Pro tip when you insert the left earcup jack make sure to fully extend the left earcup down so that you don't damage the wire when you want to move the ear cup down
I’ve had my hd25 headphones since October 1998 and I’m only now having to replace the cable. I used these for 20 years as a Dj so they’ve had plenty of use.
I have the pleasure to own a HD25 since 2004 as a DJ.
3rd ear pads pair, 3rd cable, walkin, studio, tour, rain, sun, beer, smoke, vapor : both capsules still deliver the sound I like so much. (but the cartilage in my ears is still as painful after half an hour!)
I feel you! Need to swap those stock cushions with some soft memory foam leather ones
Didn't receive a clamp. Thanks Sanheiser. The rest; amazing video: thank you!
Perfect - so easy to follow. Thanks!
One thing to mention, the screws are usually star driver heads, so you will need a specific screw driver that is a star driver tool. Regular screw driver will not work.
Which one screwdriver I need to use
Dude. He literally tells you.
Really appreciate this video! Thank you!
Thank you very much! Simple and correct. 👍
Just replaced mine, thank you
Love these headphones. It’s all I use for DJing. Not bad for Studio use either
i have a question .is it possible to remove HD25 Light headphone cables also ?
Thanks. Do you sell replacement parts
thank you!
But what’s the orientation of the plugs into the earcups supposed to be? R&L pointing inwards or outward? Presumably it matters?
the R and L legends point outwards (this is no doubt late for you but may be useful for future people wondering ay)
@@austin-m8r-w6d thanks! I'm struggling with this existential question every time I replace or clean the cables 😄
@@samson432take a picture before you remove the cable so you remember how it was.
Can i do it with the sennheiser hd25 light?
Something i didnt know what that the Amperiors have a one piece cable clamp~ now i gotta buy a new cable clamp too~
Can you buy just the cable clamp?
@@dvsi9992 yeah I had to order one from the UK for like $23, which is ridiculous imo. Next time I think I'll just 3D print one and re-use the old screws.
hello, what are the dimensions of the starkey? I tried with my starkeys, but none works. You say it is a "t6" but my starkeys only have numbers from 1.5 to 6, so I guess it is metric, but I could not find what t6 corresponds to in metric
Hi, have you found out? Please let me know
The problem is I don't have that screw
Well go to your local hardware store to buy one. Shouldnt cost much. You can get such for like 2-3$/€/£ if i remember right.
For some reason my connector on the right earcup doesn't come out at all. I've tried using a cloth and pulling it straight out but it won't budge
try harded, it will comeone eventually. i had the same problem with mines, now its sorted.
@@atehnic5613 I've tried as hard as I can, it won't budge
Use pliers or something for grip and pull
@@atehnic5613 I've also tried that, I could just be not using enough force
@@TheEpicProjects300K In the box, the spare cable comes with space clamps so you don't have to pull the clamp open.
Easy, thank you!
Do they come in different colours??
After 4 months answer : zomo replacement ear pads. Tons of different colors.
The yellow one is really useful to quickly find it on stage
Hi ! Thanks for your video ! I've just a litte problem : I can't unplug the cable ! I tried very hard but it doesn't work... COuld you help me plz ?
shack the plug slightly while you puling it, I tried and it worked for me
@@zeanstan6930 yup thanks i found : i had to put almost 20 kilos of force to unplug it... WOW
Thanks!
and if you don't have a T6/50mm Starkey ?????
Just pull it out with your hands.
Where can o buy the cable?
Read the video description :)
is this plus
Do i have to cut my cable clamp open?😅 Its like a one piece
Or even better: CAN i cut it open? The screws would hold it together anyway right?

If the cables goes mid gig you're in trouble!

Avoid non-sennheiser cables, they are crap. I bought a couple in a row and they tanked fast and the sound was a constant issue in one ear. Just got the original cable and the quality difference is audible.
Another point don't buy a shitty cable of ebay or amazon.. Buy one from sennheiser. It costs a an exta fiver but it will last five times as long as a cheap copy. I hear there is a god quality copper u can get also but won't till u try it.
I wish I could, but there is no seller for a true sennheiser one in my country!
