Yeah I agree 100% with everything you said. Kubota's engineers are definitely ones that make me scratch my head. We currently have a only a Kubota kx 040-4 excavator. However in 2020 my family’s landscape company traded in our old JD 3720 cab tractor and upgraded to a Kubota MX6000. I was against the purchase but me dad continued through with it. I wanted to get a Case farmall-75c or new powerstar 75(spoilers we ended getting one in the end.) So anyway back to the story we took delivery in late summer 2020 with our new kubota MX6000 HST Cab. We used it a little bit for resurfacing driveways. So winter comes around and on December 17, 2020 in Southern VT we got one of the most sign snowfalls ever in a 12 hour period with around 4 feet of snow fall. This was the first time I really had some seat time with it. I learned quick that I couldn't get to far from the fuel pumps because within 4-6 hours I would be out of diesel. Another the cab and suspension was a joke. Our cab was one of the cheapest cabs I've ever seen. The roof was so poorly built that all the heat would escape and melt all the snow on the roof and turn it all into ice. So eventually after going into snow banks. That ice would slide off the roof and smash and dent that nice non plastic hood Kubota brags about having. Another was with all the heat Escaping to the roof the windows would fog up and make it extremely dangerous to plow with. We put every feature on that tractor except a air ride seat. However I once again agree with you I don't think it would've made a whole lot of difference. I would be going down the road and hit a bump and my head would hit the roof so hard. I was always amazed that I somehow didn't have a concussion. Another thing was the steering wheel just spin 360 degrees over and over. You had to hold that steering wheel with your life. We also had ongoing issues electrical and hydraulic issues to the point we just traded it in in the following June to another dealer and got a brand New 2021 New Holland Powerstar 75. BTW the cab on that a farmall-75c is one of the nicest tractor cabs I've ever been in. It's actually bigger then your M5-091. I looked at the M5 and the M4 before getting the NH Powerstar. No comparison!!! I'll buy another kubota product
One extra bonus to the New Holland's Cab you can actually fit 2 full grown adults in it. We've had to use it once in a while as a work place uber. We also don't have the headache of Def being 74.5 something HP.
    Great Video as always!
Thinking about getting a new Track skid steer and I'm definitely more concerned about the dealer itself than anything. Except really stupid engineering

Still liking your Powerstar 75? Looking at an m5 091 for 66k, new! But there’s a 75 for 68k new at my local dealer as well. Can’t make up my mind

@@JakeHolder Yes! Best tractor we’ve owned by far! If you think you need the extra horsepower go with the M5. However if you are looking for user comfort and a very powerful reliable tractor without DEF then I’d recommend the Powerstar. We’ve lost interest in Kubota due to just a old school set up in the tractor with a modern day price. Kind of like JD

Air ride seat feels way better, we have made that upgrade as well. There is a option for a hydraulic accumulator for the loader as well to make it ride better.

Cab is bigger on the M6. You could put a hammock in the M6 cab.

You need a jcb 409 I have a Jcb for 411 and still use my 409 every day to load trucks so nice and compact it’s unbelievable plowing snow nice to unload pallets at hardscape job!

I used one for a week! I would rather have the 411 to be honest tho. The 409 I think would still be a little small for what I want it for. How do you like the 411

IF the divert blocks not broken then where is it leaking from? We have had similar problems with out Kubota dealership. Try a bigger dealership. Also look for a take off LA1854. Maybe you could buy a spare setup?
But ultimately sell the M5-091 and get the M6-131 or 141 and build that into your commercial snow machine. We do lots of on site blow back of snow piles so we don't have to haul off as much. Save the customer money. Just suggestions.

First thing, if you have a Girl Friend with her own tractor you need to upgrade her to Wife ASAP! Then you will have 2 tractors for basically nothing. ;)
Next, boy you list so many things you dislike. Most have to do with the fact that you have rigs that do it better for these things you're listing. Plus your team is lacking experience with the tractor. The M5 with loader and rear blower is a great Swiss Army type tool. It does lots of things, but only one thing really good. In our case that is Hybrid Snow Blowers.
We use our M5-111 24 speed for commercial plowing/blowing and residential snow blowing. It works great! Get rid of the R1 tires and you will be happier! Nokian Hakkapeliittas are great! You could run iGrip studs in your R1 and that would help. But I recommend the snow tires for all snow type work.
I think you should sell the M5-091 and find a lightly used M6 101, 111, or step up to the 131 or 141 (bigger engine and more torque) for even better performance. You will get a power shift transmission and better loader capacity. Plus push button under load shifting! It is the way to go. Pair that with a Normand blower and you will have an excellent snow fighting rig. Keep your Arctic Sectional to go on the front of it.
Keep practising with the skid steer hook up. You will get better at it. I know is sucks, especially compared to your skid steer units.
We really like our M5-111 and it will do 24.8MPH top speed. You have to have the M5-111 configuration to get the top speed and then you have to chose the 24 speed as well. Otherwise you are stuck with about 21 MPH. I would use a GPS on you tractor my spedo was off. There is a setting in the manual to fix the tire size so that it read correctly.
Loader has a power hole and high lift hole. That makes about 700lb + lifting difference. I see your in the high lift hole in the video. You should join some of the Facebook Tractor Snow groups if you haven't already. Lot of good information there. United Snow Pros or Snow Tractor Mafia.
What do you do in the summer? Parking lot maintenance, lawns, landscaping? Send me a DM if you want to see some pictures of our setup or look on the Facebook United Snow Pros forum. We are at 4 tractors and growing! Thanks for the video's look forward to more.

After watching this I am trying to figure out why you ever bought a tractor?? All these complaints about a really nice tractor with bells & whistles. I have been looking to buy one of these, that's how I came across this video.

    • @tandtlandscapeandmasonry
      @tandtlandscapeandmasonry  9 місяців тому

Figured it would be nice to have it other then a fourth skid steer. Definitely was not. Also the m6 has much more bells and whistles and it is what I should have got. I’d got with the m6 if I was you. Much better transmission for doing stuff like moving snow and snow plowing

@@tandtlandscapeandmasonry I don't really need a tractor that big. I'm debating on the M7060 or the M5-91. I do more farm stuff and logging than snow plowing. Just considering the 91/111 bc of the lift capacity.
