It got to the point where they stopped trying to win and just started trying to end the game... and it still took over 20 minutes to achieve that goal. This is glorious, glorious pain. You don't play Uno. Uno plays you
this is my comfort video. I’ve watched this 4 times and I’ve collected some data… 7’s played: 40 0’s played: 21 Uno called: 16 Play reversed: 44 Drawing streaks above five: 7, 10, 9, 7, 6, 6, 7, 6, 9, 6, 8, 8 Wild card challenges: 8 Skips: 42 (43 with Blair’s last card) “Eat sh*t”s: 11 Luke ending a 7 streak with a 4: 3 If I watch this again I’ll add more!
This went from "Oh, house rules are alright I guess!" to "There can be no hope in this Hell...no hope at all" in under an hour! I'm impressed...and yeah, sorry Adam: this was an absolute blast to watch.
Just as an option, Jump-in is the best houserule to combat the ever-growing hands. It's pay DLC, but honestly it's worth it to allow for dramatic swings the opposite direction. D2M and stacking can beef up a hand, but eventually the hand becomes a giant bag of jump-ins.
I played something like Uno where you could discard runs of sequential cards, or cards in a different colour but of the same number, so the part at 22:07 where Laurie plays the 3B, he could then lay down 3G, 2G, 1G, 1Y, 2Y, but instead of saying Uno on the last card, so you had to say something like "last card" on the turn before you went out, you couldn't try banking a run and getting out with no warning
For some reason, I decided to chart this whole game in excel. The game lasted 675 turns; Luke had the most successful Unos at 5, followed by Blair with 4, Adam and Laurie with 3. Laurie and Blair tied for largest hand total at 19 cards. The longest Uno drought was between turn 54 and turn 227, both Laurie Unos. Blair went from having the largest hand in the game to having Uno between turns 463 and 469, which is also the largest hand delta in the game. Anyways, thanks for the fun two hours.
Not oh no... Uno. I remember starting a game in the morning at my Granny's as a child and requesting 10 more minutes to finish because it was suddenly somehow bed time. Nobody won that game.
the two-minute segment of everyone playing yellows because they knew that Luke didn’t have any yellows was hilariously savage! and the fact that it only ended because Adam had a 0 automatically played for him is even more funny, I imagine they would have tried to keep it going as long as they could! ( it’s 47:00 to 49:20 if anyone wants to rewatch it! )
Just watched this again 1 month later, and it's still funny 😂😂. Seeing all of the underhanded tricks, the slogan of “Eat Shit Blair,” and the win from the people's princess is all great entertainment.
"This can't be fun to watch." Actually, I specifically seek this video out when I need cheering up. This and the +35 episode of Uno on UUDD. Something about comedic misery. 🤣🤣
When I was still in high school, our teacher had banned UNO because kids used to flip desks, break chairs, yell and cuss (the pervious years). Eventually we got her to allow us to play again around our junior year I believe. She literally had the cards in a locked drawer because of how obsessed we were and how crazy it would get. We weren't allowed to play as a whole class we had to break up into like 2-3 different groups to play. I swear UNO brings out the evil in people, it ruins friendships. I find it so funny how such a simple game has such a strong grip on people.
They asked at one point if we would enjoy watching this. I am part of the we and I found this game genuinely HILARIOUS. All of the undercutting and getting so close to ending the game only to keep going had me cracking up 😂😂😂. I enjoy these UNO uploads and hope to get more. And yes, I still love Blair
I love this... been waiting for you to post this! I can't stop laughing, it's so funny! Thank you for the early Christmas present. The torture was delightful!
I thought the crowning moment was going to be the +8 "eat shit, Blair"....but no. The crowning moment was the win. What a character arc. That was a Greek epic
the uno rules I remember is that if you have more than one card of the same number, say, 3g, 3g, 3r, 3b; then you can play all of those cards together, assuming that you could have played at least one of them, but you can never play your last card this way, as normal. so if you end up drawing a bunch of cards, then that's not a problem, it just means you'll end up playing 2, 3 or 4 cards together later. it also means you can save your duplicates towards the end to make strategic color-switch (i.e. if you have set up your hand to have 1g,1r,1b,1y,5y, you are guaranteed to be able to play your 1s and end on yellow, hopefully keeping that color for your ending play of 5y)
At the 8-minute mark I said to myself I'd pause the video after that match to do the chores I needed to do. Come to find out the whole video was a single match.
Laurie resolvig to draw in the end instead of playing the draw 4 and it doesn't work out lmao. "I'm sorry I'm late I was stuck in a game of infinite Uno for hours..."
@@press_x_tojason coming back to this comment to say that I played Uno with friends irl recently but we used all those rules and I won early but then everyone was stuck in it for the next hour (we always play till we got one loser) and my friend next to me did end it by choosing not to play a draw 4.
Jeez, this was a near-Jumanji experience. I haven't played Uno for like 20 years and this convinced me to immediately sign for another 20 of not coming anywhere near this shit.
What programs did you guys use to place your videos in specific areas of the screen? It's baffling us. We are trying to work it out to do this sort of gameplay.
I play Uno Flip in my friend group (anywhere between 10-15 of us), with all the bullshit rules and two decks combined. It takes us forever to finish a game 😂 but it’s brutal and chaotic and we love it. The Jump In rule helps immensely to speed things up though, especially being allowed to jump in on yourself if you have identical cards.
I feel like this was a metaphor for 2020. Four people slowly going insane playing Uno on Zoom.
It got to the point where they stopped trying to win and just started trying to end the game... and it still took over 20 minutes to achieve that goal. This is glorious, glorious pain.
You don't play Uno. Uno plays you

But how many times did Laurie (or everyone, I suppose) say "penus"?
I request the average length of time from them crying for the game to be over until they call for people to "stack it".
I want to track whose original hand ends up actually winning with all the swaps etc 🤭
30:48 that was such a great play from Laurie my god
and then he fully undermined himself by playing the 7 instead of 1

Agreed. Jump-Ins really help fix the balancing issues of the draw to match rule.
Of course the one option to fix an often played but broken game is something you have to pay to use. Ubisoft, you rascals
@@MrSkerpentine really? I remember jump-ins being in the basegame.
I can't believe they're "playing with all the rules on" but no jump ins 😭

This is all I wanted for Christmas. Such strong Uno: The Movie vibes
All I was thinking of haha!
Uno: The Movie BBC remake.
We need to get an Uno: Infinity War
Shame about that nameless guy in the beginning of that one though
Ah you guys are men of culture as well I’m finally in on a RT Reference

Adam, friend, this was tremendous. Monthly Uno! Do it, you cowards, you’ve nothing to lose but your lives!
Laurie compulsively changing color whenever he can is driving me nuts this is a blast
I've watched this video, like, five times and Laurie's "nyeooooh" kills me every time.

This is my single favorite way to play Uno. It's always so much fun to me.
I think the No Rolls Barred crew is the only group that I would happily watch play Uno for almost an hour!
I think the best version of uno is when everyone in the game uses their own house rules. Chaos
Adam it is FUN to watch.
According to legend these guys will be playing this round until the end of time
This is incredible.
I wonder if they know about “uno the movie” that’s pain
Jeeze, with how many times Blair got shipped cards I didn't see her winning. Yall are pretty entertaining, even playing Uno!
I've watched this twice it made me laugh so much. Keep up the good work!
After watching Da Party play Uno all these months, this is weird lol. But I can get use to it. Challenge!!!! Always challenge.
Just watched this for the first time.....It was spectacular

Good, but nothing is better than Da Party playing Uno on Wednesdays :D

Love every reactions! It was awesome
This was so ridiculous! Proof playing with all house rules breaks the game. So happy Blair won!
