OH! This is genius! I’m in lamp making mode right now. I will want to make some shades that are kind of Victorian looking, but the concept will work for me with some design adaptations! Your instructions look very easy to follow. Thank you! ❤
Brilliant Penny! using supplies we have easy access to makes this lamp convenient and affordable, just what I need for my project. I presume the lights are LED? I have found that a spray etching primer, which is grey, works on metal, wood and plastic as a base coat. You can then paint with acrylic or oil based paint over the top.
Hi Coby! Yes, these are LED lights. I got them from TEMU in a pack of 10, for $1.78 CND. I highly recommend them! I have not heard of this spray etching primer. Is there a specific brand you use? I’d love to try it!
How creative, adorable and resourceful! Plus, your instructions are superb, as always! I’m going to look into the LED lights on Temu! Thanks much! Kathleen
Thank you @mommaferg! While I did not show that part in this video, I have another lighting video that I will link below. You may not need to watch all of it, but I show how to connect multiple lights to a battery pack. In that video I solder the wires but you don’t need to do that if you don’t want to. As long as you have a good connection, you can wrap or shrink rap the wires together. I hope it helps! ua-cam.com/video/hnQcktbZ3XU/v-deo.htmlsi=qFKn5bm2ph6AJ1UO
So clever! Enjoying this series.
Thank you Lee!💚
This is brilliant! I've been thinking of how I could make my own floor lamp and your video has given me the perfect idea. Thank you very much!
Thank you Karen, I’m glad you like it, thanks for watching!💚
Love this lamp! Could you show it lit up in the future please? Thanks so much for this video!
Hi Regina, the picture in the thumbnail is lit up 😁
@@pennyssmallspaces thank you, guess I just wanted to see it better after the grand finale, lol, forgive an old woman.
@@reginawilliams226 I should have lit it up at the end of the video too! 💚

@@pennyssmallspaces Dulux is the brand of etch primer I ‘borrowed’ from my husband’s workshop. 😊

This is awesome!!!! Do you have a video on connecting the wires to the lighting source?
