Friends Project Part 1 - Building Monica and Rachel's apartment in 1:24 scale!
My daughter Ashli is a HUGE fan of the show "Friends". Her birthday is coming and I wanted to make her something in miniature. I think she will love this mini Friends apartment for her book shelf. She doesn't have a ton of room so this will be in 1:24 scale. I think she will love it!

Thank you for showing me (and the rest of you UA-cam Family) that this is a viable method. Hi Penny, long-time subscriber here, love your channel. I actually made this chair, but not without some confusion. It seems that in your description cutting list, you need to say to cut 2 backs, 2 bases, 2 seats, and 4 arms (not 2). @@pennyssmallspaces Penny, so glad if my comment was helpful. I am also wondering - you have the seat depth 3mm shorter than the base depth - so the seat I just made doesn't come to the front of the base because it is 42mm instead of 45 like the base. I will have to remake it at 45mm, because I see in the video that your seat is the same depth as the base, yes? Which would make the dowel lengths also 45.

I tend to drill a very small hole (using my very small drill bits) initially then I use the size needed to accommodate the toothpick. I find it makes it easier to find the center with a smaller drill bit in order to hit the proper spot on the little legs of the table.

I think I would like to see a platform rocker made. I am trying to recreate my aunt’s house that I went to as a child. It was in the 60s. Your cabinet and refrigerator are perfect for it. But remember a red platform rocker.(hopefully you will know about them) Also I am looking for a porch glider/swing that sat down on slides and would move back and forth. I have found the chairs but I haven’t seen the glider/swing anywhere. If you would like to take on the challenge of doing either of these I would love to it. Thanks.

@@belindaknox5007 Hi Belinda, sorry for the delay in responding! I don’t have a template but I pulled out the couch and did some measurements. From the bottom outside corner, I cut in 7/16” from the side and 3/4” from the bottom (12mm from the side and 17mm from the bottom. I rounded the top inside corner of the cut so that it fit the curve of the arm. I hope that helps!
