The time I visited NYC I went to Macy's just to ride those wooden escalators! They are certainly a different ride than plain old metal ones.
wasn't that wild?? Alot ofpeople don't believe me!! And when I went they had pics of all the golden stars riding them, I remember seeing Lucy, Betty Grable, Clark Gable, and Gene Teireny...all so glamourous and stunning!!!
Wow, I didn't know they were a thing, I rode on them about a year ago and distinctly remember thinking " hey, these escalators are wood" and that was the extent of it.
Yes. The first time I went to that Macy's was when I was 21 years old visiting from California. I remember those wooden escalators. The next time was fairly recently but decades later. I went up the escalators again just to see if some of them were still wooden. They were. :)
Beautiful building hope it never changes and never goes out of business!!
Just saw it. It was gutted. Only the facade remains which is sad. The interior feels like forever 21 now.
@@evelynmyers4173 Nooo! what happened??
R.I.P.
Worked receiving/dock at a Macy's in Texas. It was of course no where near as huge as the N.Y. dock. Hard work and our merchandise hit the sales floors the same day. I'm having flashbacks watching this vid and not all good.🤐
Most people go to a Macy's to try things on and actually buy it online where ever they can find the best price.
So clever Macy is a fitting room
One Of My Son’s Favorite Store Is Macy’s. We Go To The One In Montclair, California, Located At The Interstate 10 And Central Avenue
Women's Shoes is one of the largest departments in most big stores. The shoes shown in the video had a price tag of $350. For many women that is not so crazy.
Why is the women's shoe department being bigger reminds me of the joke about how women like shoes and the stereotype that women take longer in the bathroom?
Way cool!
What do you guys think about designer manhole covers?
The center image, the Wassenfels Museum, and Macy's lettered around the image.

Yo Macy’s on Black Friday a war zone I’m scared
Been here but in orlando store.
Why are you saying you've been here if you haven't
thats like saying you have been to the empire state building but it was fake
WOW. I'm on the brainless part of youtube
I've been to China. It was in the Asia display of the Museum of Natural History.
The Macy's website is so effing bad, I'm taking my business elsewhere, cz that's how much their clunky site has irritated me.
I prefer shopping at Amazon.
Round the clock
Crap, go to Galleries Lafayette in Paris if you need shopping malls
Department stores are not malls.
