Playing music is one of the best possible ways to preserve mental health. I think it’s safe to say Dave managed to become one of the best rhythm guitarists in thrash metal, I go to Metallica for the mainstream, Slayer for the evilness, and Megadeth for the technique, no one in the scene can really touch Dave.
Megadeth are still the kings of the genre 👑
Dave Mustaine is a legend! Can't wait for the new album
I love the idea of dave sitting in the chair behind his left shoulder with rattlehead slippers on his feet pondering about his life :-) Man, so good to know you're still with us ... gave me so much throughout my whole life. Cancer's a kliller and Dave beat it, that's it. Hope to see you on stage and: Ordered a megdath shirt 10 minutes ago :D
My dad survived Stage IV head and neck cancer TWICE. Its brutal and barbaric and incredible. Hats off to you, Dave. Please be safe out there. Fans, protect Dave.
Can't wait to hear the album.
Megadeth is my favorite thrash band. I saw twice in Costa Rica. Bring on the new record, can't wait !
Been a fan since '91. Finally going to see him in May.
I know ole boy Graham won't ever see this, but damn... it has been really cool to see him evolve in the role he is playing so damn well. It's obvious he's prepared to have the interview, the questions are fantastic, and they draw out kick ass responses. Legit journalism. Glad he's doing it for metal. Well done G
Graham responds to comments occasionally.
I think thefans are still rootin for Dave and his music. His new lineup is great.
This is the one album I've been excited about! I'm 50 yrs old and been here since killing! Long live Megadeth!!!!!!
Me too!
This man has come a long long way. Whatever he gives at this age will be gold, yet he's still doing that same old heavy af thrash stuffs. I mean, he's still keeping his thrash form after all these years... It's truly amazing. Mad respects for him. Hail Mustaine!
🖤🔥
He is one of the most honest musicians ever. Real, true, honest, and talented. Glad to see he is doing well!
seen Megadeth 3 times, desperately want to see them again. 🤘😈🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I got my ticket!!!!!🤗🤗🤗
See you metalheads in the pit in Vegas 🤘🥰
Can't explain how happy I am to see Dave healthy and excited to release a new record and go on tour. I've been listening since killings my business in the 80's and I'm excited to hear the new record. I'll probably go to a record store and buy a copy, I haven't done that in years. Cheers Dave, God's speed brother.
I've only seen this and the previous interview of mustaine from this guy, but they are great interviews and I can tell he is a true fan of megadeth.
Thank you Dave for giving all of us in the Megadeth family everything you had all these years. You are the goat and we love you !
I can't believe he's alive! 😸🤘🏻
And shredding! \m/
🤘
Dave will still be shredding in a wheelchair in 20 years.
👌🤘😈🚬
I can't believe it's not butter! 🧈
It makes me very happy to see Dave still alive and still shredding! Megadeth was my first true introduction to thrash metal (yes, I heard them before I heard Metallica!) and were very influential for me when I was a teen in the 80s. I've loved thrash and metal ever since. Megadeth's new single that's out right now absolutely shreds! I'm anticipating a true no compromise thrash metal album from one of my favorite bands and really looking forward to it! Keep on keepin' on Dave!
I'm glad Dave's still alive. The dude's been through hell and back several times.
Playing music is one of the best possible ways to preserve mental health.
I feel that if anyone did what Dave has done to himself over so many years, from battling addiction to battling cancer, they would be either dead or catatonic, yet he's as sharp as ever especially with his music skills. Feels like this says a lot about the power of music.
All I'll say.
I would only hope to see them! I love this band. Wow I can’t believe he is still alive and shredding.🤘🤘With all do respect Dave you are amazing. I’m excited for the new album.
it’s looking that way Dave your in a time capsule keep that blood flowing my friend the world needs more music from ya dude ✌️👍
My exact thought after seeing him live yesterday was that I couldn’t believe that he sounded almost as good as he did 35 years ago
I saw Megadeth a few years ago and boy. I was just blown away with how much Dave can still shred! I'd argue it sounded even better than the album versions of the songs!
Why wouldn't he be alive? He's a legend after all, and legends never die! :D
"heores never die" in his own words
Actually, Lemmy, Randy Rhoads, Dimebag, Cliff, EDDIE VAN FUCKING HALEN?
Dave looks/sounds a little buzzed but good for him. After all he’s been through, he deserves a nice beer glow. Rock on Dave! 🤘🏼
dave looks like a very nice grandma that has many stories to tell
A nice grandma combined with Jeff Goldblum midway through his transformation into The Fly.
He does not look the least bit feminine! Why do people say that? So rude!
@@charlenepickett6414 its just a joke, calm down snowflake
I could listen to him all day wether it’s a song or just a normal chitchat… love him … all hail the Megadeth
Dave' an slash were my inspirations to play guitar..Dave is the best metal song writer of all time
Both ends make me happy and sad at the same time. Seeing grandpa Dave makes me realize how old we have become and that time flies, while I still remember a young him from the RIP tours, but at least he is alive and shredding!
Much respect for Dave. He's done it all in Metal and he's still around to kick some ass. He might not be on his best shape, but who the f*ck would be after going through so much, and who the f*ck cares?
I can listen to Dave talk for hours. Thanks for making this video.👍
Nice interview it's good to hear from Mega Dave! I thought Dystopia was an excellent record that was consistently good while having some absolute bangers, their best album in a long ass time. So I'm fucking stoked to hear this new material that got a thumbs up from Justis.
On his headstone it will read “I was the best at everything”
It's crazy how Mustaine aged. He actually always looked pretty amazing for his age and then probably around 2018 he hit this wall which I assume cancer might have been at catalyst and he looked like he aged 2 decades in like 4 years.
In like 2011 was when he really started to age
@@S1LVERflyin agreed. He looked young as hell around 2008, then maybe in the next 3-4 years the lifestyle kind of caught up. Still, whatever, he’s survived. \m/
Covid was a tuff stuff for all musicians too
Sad to think Dave is going to retire soon 😢
Saw him live in shillong, india, 2015. Great show
Symptoms of destruction is one of the all time greats 😎😎😎
“Symphony” of Destruction is a good one too….. 😉
@@jondubb35 cheers mate rock on 😎😎🤘🤘
Symptoms of Dyslexia
If you close your eyes Dave and Corey Feldman sound exactly the same. Crazy! Love you Dave. Keep shredding friend.
Hopefully he's still doing it in twenty years.🤘🤘
Bro that's some wishful thinking I don't think Dave's going to be here in another 20 years. I'd be surprised if he's here in another 10.
@@kskip4242 Hes only 60 i think he has easily more than 10 years. I mean he doesnt look and move like a dying man, he still kicks ass in live shows just chemo took a toll on him.
@@przygodykatanki aged an awful lot he looks over 70.
@@martymartin2894 im not saying he didnt age but thats normal after cancer and chemo. Better to look old than dead!
If Dave is shredding in his 70s he's truly a God
Dave, your music changed and inspired me a lot. Love you man! 🤘🏼
This was a great interview! I haven’t like Megadeth since Rust in Peace, but I’m glad he’s well. The big 4 were a very important part of my life as a kid and getting my first guitar. I hope he stays healthy.
Yea the big 4 really got me into metal, except anthrax they dont deserve to be in the big 4 lol def other bands that deserve that spot more.
Why? What is there not to like?? Dave is a badass metal mad scientist
@@FEPSO anthrax are amazing, definetely give them a chance. Theirs is the best singer of the big four objectively
Dave was higher than a kite! Good for him.
I admire this man, a true legend
Just seen Megadeth this past Sept 15th for my birthday.. And Dave still thrashes and kicks metal ass!!.. Awesome damn show and by far the best birthday ever!.. 🤘🤘
