Wow you really couldn't catch a break hahaha. So the reason why you could not revive Tora was because it costs 1 bar of party gauge which you can see at the top left of the screen while in combat. Also congrats on your first rare blade! Finch is very silly and cute. I would say its only worth it to use and strengthen your rare blade such as the main party ones and Finch that you just got. You will see that common blades like the doggo you have on Rex are not as good and have similar designs to each other while rare blades like Finch have a more unique design and are better overall to use. Also with the whole play order of the games it can be done few ways. So the way you said which was play the DLC after chapter 7 is an interesting way to do it and I personally would not recommend however you can choose whatever. The reason why people say to play the DLC after chapter 7 is the DLC was actually supposed to be in the main game and take place after chapter 7 but was not because of time restraints in the games development so they added it as DLC afterwards. The reason why I don't recommend playing the DLC after chapter 7 is because it is sort of a game in itself and has a few different mechanics and things about it that it would be weird to go from the main games gameplay to the DLC gameplay then back to the main games gameplay. I would just finish the main game then go to Torna DLC but again its up to you. Also with Xenoblade 1 DLC it depends. If you have not played Xenoblade Chronicles 1 then you should play it before its respective DLC. Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is also on the switch and its the remake of the first game which was on the Wii. Also the DLC for Xenoblade 1 comes with the game so you don't have to pay extra which is nice. So once you have played Xenoblade chronicles 1 plus DLC and 2 plus DLC thennnn you can play 3. So in summary finish 2 then play DLC then play 1 and its DLC and after that you can play 3!
Yeah the doggo wasn't that helpful lol. And i love finch. I feel like i only got through that bird fight was because of finch XD. And gotcha. I was wondering why people said to do it after chapter 7. It sucks that i wasn't added in time cause of time restraints but still glad it was added later. And i'm def going to play xenoblade chronicles 1 but maybe later this year cause now i'm interested in this series
