Speaking from a woman’s perspective I have camped in this trailer for now over 3 weeks. I loved the storage. My daughter loved the bunk bed. For a family of 3-4 I think it was perfect. I brought a mirror because it doesn’t have one which would be a complaint but it has been extremely comfy besides that. Usually my husband sets everything up but this unit is actually pretty easy to set up and I helped him a bunch because it was so easy.
Just a question and (plse correct me if im wrong), that has been bugging me for quite a while now. By trade I am a locksmith, and have often wondered why trailer manufacturers install lockable latches with different keys for multiple compartments?.. wouldn't it make more sense to have 1 or 2 different keys max for the exterior? Not counting the European cylinder on the door. Say 1 key for all the compartments and a separate key for the water fills, as an example.. just a thought...love the dweller 15 by the way!
This is an awesome looking trailer. The quality looks way better than Black Series. The caulking on the Black Series does look like a drunk did it. I got to see this camper in person.
Yes! We have actually just finished a full-size 6ft bunk bed. You will be able to now sleep 4-5 people in this camper. Call us if you have any questions. 801-860-0035
Hey Shane thanks for the great detailed video tour! When you demonstrated how to slide back the King Bed, my first thought was if there was a lock inside the unit to prevent anyone from doing this while sleeping or just want to keep it secure without having to slide it back in?
The way it latches it would be impossible for it to slide by itself. It would also be very hard for someone to move it from outside. The mattress blocks it from being moved and that can only be moved first from the inside.
Thank you for the review! I am wondering what's the overall length from tongue to end of the box (excluding tire racks and assume it is easy removal)? I have a garage length of 19.5ft and wonder if it will fit. Thanks!
I've been obsessed with these videos for over a week now but have not seen any mention or show of were the water tank drains. I believe there was a statement regarding the sink draining slowly, I just don't know where or how.
Each tank has two spots to drain, one is a screw off cap, and the other is a faucet style knob. The outdoor is just a gravity drain (which will just drain to the ground). Hopefully that helps answer your question! Reply or text/call us at (801) 860 0035 and we can answer any other questions on the unit!
We can't speak for the Bruder because we have not tested them. The UEV is more off road capable but this has much more space inside and is way more livable. It is also longer and a little heavier. It really just depends on the person and what they want to accomplish.
Greetings, thanks for the reviews of the 13 & 15. Both look awesome, does the ac require shore power/generator to run, or will it run on battery? The truma furnace i know uses propane and battery, but not sure on the ac. Thanks.
No. The back folds up to be the roof. There would be no way water to get inside. That is while traveling. Does that make sense? While parked you could potentially get some inside wet while you put it away. You could dry it off before shutting it.
I like alot about this trailer. It appears to be a step above the MDC which I wonder if the MDC, Opus, Dweller and Black Series may all be made in the same factory in the country that is not mentioned by name. One question in the folding bed. I assume in a wind storm that may be a little shaky setting up by yourself? Also not very well insulated with those thin aluminum walls. Wondering how all those latches will hold up over the years of off road use. Maybe when the are folded down in transit mode they will not be stressed with off road pounding.
Very good comments. You are correct. The Dwellers really are made a step above the other units you mentioned. We are actually hoping to get out to do a factory tour sooner than later. The world has to open more. MDC has their own plant. BS also is in its own plant. Opus and Dwellers are built under the same manufacture but different facilities and different companies designing. The big difference from our experience is that the companies you mentioned are too focused on Australian and don’t transfer everything over correctly. Also the components are extremely cheap. The Dwellers have hit the sweet spot with quality components and good QC on the build. We really are happy with the quality that we are seeing compared to the others. Night and day difference.
@@ROAOffRoad Great info on MFGers. This trailer is listed at 7' 7" (91") collapsed. I assume the AC is a rooftop and would put this rig just a few inches to tall to fit in an 8 foot garage. (95-96"). Any chance one could either order w/o or AC or possibly a mod to a low profile unit?
Sir, Does the AC require the soft start? Recently put in an order for a Dweller and I am looking into the Honda EU series generators to run the AC if needed while off-grid. Also, while I almost never camp below freezing, are the tanks heated?
No it does not need a soft start. The tanks are not heated. Where did you put the order in at? We can install heated tanks at ROA but we only modify if purchased through us. 😀
It is an American owned company but assembled in china. China does have good quality control when needed. This trailer is good quality. If trailer was made for Americans, why is all the plumbing metric ? and the door is not an American made door. Door is from Australia. The door is a very solid door along with the trailer being very, very solid. Where Obi excels is their product. The Dweller is a rock ! Their customer service is a different story. Their customer service could improve. It's very hard to order parts because everything is from a different country and their obi " info email " is sub par at best. Great product ! Obi, customer service is poor. It is really difficult to get someone to answer their phone, if they ever do. If they can fix their customer service then obi would be a rock star in the rv industry.

Great video Shane: the more i see this the more i like it.
Perfect storage for full time living! Love this trailer!

I have wondered that as well. Seems like a big pain to have all of those different keys. Great camper otherwise!
It is silly for sure that they don’t match all the keys. We agree it would be much better.
Hey Shane. Good to see you on your belly underneath the trailer doing your thing! :-)
I need an OBICAMPER! Sweet!
This is an awesome looking trailer. The quality looks way better than Black Series. The caulking on the Black Series does look like a drunk did it. I got to see this camper in person.
Very good review! Thoroughly detailed in all aspects.
Thanks 😊
So does the inverter allow you to run your AC off grid without shore power??
Are you havening problems with the O2 Alarm sensor going off when first set up?
This is great with the Bunk. Do you guys have a way to add another full-size bunk bed? I need 4 beds.
Yes! We have actually just finished a full-size 6ft bunk bed. You will be able to now sleep 4-5 people in this camper. Call us if you have any questions. 801-860-0035
I may have missed it but I didn't hear you touch on the insulation value. How does the insulation of this trailer compare to the X22?

@@ROAOffRoad Awesome! Thanks for quick response and can't wait to come out and buy my 1st Off Road RV from you guys!
@@ROAOffRoad that was my concern as well..thank you.
Is there room in the second battery compartment to add a fourth 100Ah LiFePO4 battery (assuming we upgrade to Lithium batteries)?

You could fit the Dweller 13 but not the Dweller 15
@@ROAOffRoad Thanks! Yeah I looked on Dweller 13 as well but I have kids, unless I can add bunks D13 as option?

It doesn’t look like they are?

Question, so if the rear of the trailer is wet then when you fold that portion is that wetness now inside the trailer and wetting the bedding?
No. The back folds up to be the roof. There would be no way water to get inside. That is while traveling. Does that make sense? While parked you could potentially get some inside wet while you put it away. You could dry it off before shutting it.
@@ROAOffRoad right. So when you fold that back portion with the windows in and fold the bottom portion up that is now wet on the inside. Thanks
why no air space under solar panels

Will your Roamer have a galvanized chassis and independent suspension or will it be power coated chassis and solid axel like the Xplore?
Ah yes. The "country whose name cannot be spoken" :-)

Is it the same quality like Kabe.se. i know its not offroad but the insulation etc.
