I have low porosity hair and I've finally found products that I think works for me because my hair has grown so much. We have basically big chopped around the same time but my hair is not a long as yours but I have watched your videos a lot and you stated you really understand your hair and maybe cut your hair a few times. But, I am struggling with frizz tho but I think I've gotten a good routine but I loveeeee watching your videos even tho our hair is different

Humectants work by pulling moisture from a more humid side of the barrier (the layer of pomade on your hair) to the less humid side until a balance is reached. So, if your hair dripping wet when you applied the pomade then it would have worked to pull moisture out of your hair. In humid climates it makes more sense to apply in dry hair. It's therefore also a really bad idea to use humectants in dry climates. The humectant will always seek to pull the moisture out of your hair. You are much better off going with an occlusive ingredient (something thick with Shea or other butters or coconut oil) this will trap moisture in the hair so apply stuff like this on wet hair.
