In the novelisation, Jill says she tries to encourage the emotions and sadness each time she puts down a zombie because, if she starts to forget they were once people, she might lose a part of her own humanity.
Powerful thoughts. That's why she says what she does to Mikhail.

Cops are trained to assume any human being, including children and old ladies, are dangerous threats for something as small as exiting the passenger seat of a car if a cop pulls a car over. Countless cases of cops shooting people, including children and teens, for playing with toy guns or even water guns. Heck, there's a documented case out there of a cop shooting a kid for answering the door with a Wii remote in his hands.
Cops definitely see people as target practise. Whether people were wrong or right, there's a reason why there were thousands of protests against police a few years ago.

Yap. Just recently played through it to prove to myself that I still knew the location of them.
I also wanted to open up every singe part of the map, so I had to jump out of the newspaper office window (not encountering Nemesis in the restaurant), had to not overload the electricity in the substation AND I had to jump down before the abandoned factory. This led me to picking up the ONLY file that I didn't pick up in order. Great. Fun. Well designed.

I think Carlos loses hope at the clock tower because the last 2 of his men died in such quick succession that it demoralized him. Also, there’s a scene you can get where Nicholai blows up in the gas station and as a result, Carlos shows up at the pharmacy instead, it’s revealed that random merc Nicholai killed was actually carlos’ friend and that added to Nicholai and mikhails death makes that scene hit a lot harder.

I took Jill's line "you want STARS? I'll give you STARS" to be her seeing Nemesis as an embodiment of Umbrella itself and so, by finally defeating it, she was doing it for herself and her friends after everything the corporation had done to them.

Easily the scariest and most replayable ps1 resi game to date imo. Love Jill, love nemesis, love QOL movement mechanics, love different item and jump-scare placements on subsequent playthroughs as well as altered puzzles. Love having a hard mode since Re2 is just way too easy and forgiving, and getting Jill’s diary just made me want to keep replaying. 3D models look like humans and not action figures. Game starts out with a straight line to a zombie and a safe space to give you a false sense of security before you’re bombarded by the highest zombie count yet. Man, this game is excellent. Might not add as much lore as the others, but getting scared is why I play these games, and this game is exceptionally that to this day, scary as shit.

Hard mode is just normal mode, as easy mode gives you pretty much every gun and ammo for it from the start. RE2 had a hard mode on PC, I played it as Leon but I didn't like it. The only notable difference was that zombies dont get knocked back most of the time with the handgun, but it essentially felt the same once you get the shotgun and later the magnum. I think RE2 feels mostly easy because of the amount of ammo, and perhaps also because most bosses are usually slow and can be killed before they even touch you if you take a step back and unload your most powerful weapon on them like a mounted turret
Edit: nevermind, the entire first part of my comment was already in the video

I preferred Jill's character in this RE3. R3make crippled her with generic 'badass girl-boss' syndrome. Despite the post-traumatic stress disorder intro cutscene, modern Jill had none of the humanity/self-doubt shown by original Jill.
Nemesis was much more intimidating in original RE3 because he took advantage of the player's limitations within the rules of the game mechanics.
RE3 Jill reacted appropriately to Nemesis: her terrified expression and option to flee the first encounter, hiding behind the counter in the restaurant. If she fired off Re3make one-liners like
"Its my turn, b**h!" it would have been less scary.

Also, on that end nitpick, seeing stars (to my understanding) is becoming concussed to the point that your vision fades into that static/fuzz that you see if you push on your eyes, which basically looks like tv static. Seeing that as a result of being concussed indicates a major brain injury - and i think the line therefore makes sense under this framework. In comparison to Leons "Game Over" or Claires "You lose big guy" i think Jills' further makes sense as this obviously (to me) doesnt kill Nemesis, only causing him to go into a regenerative state. The missile will atomize him, but making the 'lights go out' for Nemesis (a line i would argue is comparable here) is all she can really expect before fleeing and assuming the explosion will do the rest

    • @WitchTaunter

      @mywhychromosome 11 місяців тому +8

@@WitchTaunterI really doubt that. Because she specifically says “you WANT S.T.A.R.S.??” in reference to his one dialogue throughout the game. The ‘other’ meaning would suggest Nemesis has been expressing desire for the objects in space, lol

    • @WitchTaunter
      @WitchTaunter  11 місяців тому

@@mywhychromosome Why would it have to be that? Nemesis expresses a desire for STARS, and in the end Jill gives it to him as both a beating that makes him see stars, and a retaliation as a member of STARS. Both are phrases that turn around the meaning and intention of "stars".

I think “You want S.T.A.R.S., I’ll give you S.T.A.R.S.!”, I think she means that she’ll show Nemesis what the group is all about, not actual stars. He hunts S.T.A.R.S. members, not actual stars. And I think it could make sense Nikolai getting killed by Nemesis, if he assumed he was Jill. I mean sounds kind of dumb, but he is a human turned into a monster, so it’s up to make mistakes.
My thing is, how does Jill not flash us in a tube top. Her fashion is also very Japanese for that time and also caused a lot of her fans to be disappointed with her becoming a “sex symbol”. I don’t like they they gave her that outfit (the remake’s outfit was way more accurate to the time as well), but I also don’t think it changed my mind of her. I just thought many of the puzzles were unreasonably dumb and harder than they needed to be.

@@josedorsaith5261 This was back in the 90’s, and I assume it’s more reviewers than the who fanbase, but it was more the fact they saw a strong female character that was covered up in the original game now in a tube top and skirt (which honestly is kind of silly to be running around a zombie infested city). So they basically were seeing her as any other female video game character that was over sexualized like other characters (example Lara Croft), but I’m sure it was women who dresses her that way, because Heather in SH3 was dressed by female employees, giving her the popular style of skirt and sleeves turtleneck, due to it being popular in Japan at the time (Heather in RE4 was also a parody of Heather, so that’s why they look like each other).
I personally think Jill’s outfit was a silly choice, but not bad, since it’s a science fiction video game, and looks nice. I mostly read people not liking it on Wikipedia, so I assume it was reviewers.

    @antelasic1950 Рік тому +6

I really disagree with a lot of the things said here.
First off the amount of ammo. Sorry but that was a problem in both 1 and 2. You can get to the end of both while killing everything in front of you and still having a lot to spare. Now I don't know if you just missed most ammo in those games but this happened to me in both games on my first playthrough. I've even seen people play RE1 while killing all the enemies (All as in every single one in the entire game and not just the ones you see).
The dodge not working. While it is true that at times it can be inconsistent, it by no means "does not work". With a bit of practice you can get really good with the timing, and the problem of dodging into a wall can often be a byproduct of bad positioning on the players part. I'd much rather it be included rather then not, since it is a lot more helpful than harmful.
The idea that RE3 doesn't really feel like it should be the next numerical game and that it didn't evolve much like 2 did from 1.
As someone who only got into the series about 2 years ago, I could not disagree with this more. While 2 did increase the production values and things like the visuals, that's about all it did. In terms of gameplay what new addition did it add? Well you can change the grenade launcher ammo without having to waste it, that's cool. And the characters now visually showed how much health they had. But other then that, nothing was that different. RE3 on the other hand introduced a dodge mechanic, gunpowder (which brings a whole new level of decision making. Do you want to save it and combine it to get more ammo, or do you want to use it now if you really need it. But wait, if you just use normally without combining it, you can get enhanced ammo a lot quicker.), running on stairs manually, a 180 turn (thank god), and Nemesis (The most unique enemy so far in the series). Really feels like there's a lot bias for RE2 online. While I see why people like it over 1, I just can't say it's a "perfect sequel". For one, I think 1 had better pacing. 1 Mixed exploration and bosses a lot better than 2. In 2 there is no boss until you're done with the RPD, and the game turns really linear with all the bosses being in that part of the game. The RPD in general gives you less freedom then the mansion in 1. The gaming brit show showcases this really well in his RE 1 and 2 videos.
Honestly in my opinion all 3 original RE games hover around a 9/10 for me, with small details separating them.
1 has my favorite location and atmosphere (the mansion isolated in the woods was always scarier personally then being in a middle of a city, and the increased action focus also reduced the fear factor) and the best pacing. However it has really bad voice acting (although I think the story is good) and the worst visuals of the series. 2 has amazing visuals and a better presentation in the cutscenes, the most replay value with 4 campaigns and a bunch of side content. But it has the worst pacing, and is overall a lot more linear. 3 is the best one gameplay wise, no question about that, and Nemesis is one of the greatest additions ever. But it has my least favorite setting. My personal ranking might be something like 3, 1, 2 (but this changes a lot, and once again I think they are all a 9/10 with each one being the best in something).

So Jill wasn't there to investigate the murders, but to find out what happened to Bravo team. In one of the Resident Evil comics, Dario panics so much in the street that he flees leaving his wife and daughter behind. The game is a bit different as you do return to the warehouse and you see the body of a little girl out front. It's implied that after being seperated, his daughter found her way to the warehouse (some have said its a warehouse that Dario owns), and he hears her being attacked, but because Jill left the door to the warehouse unlocked, the zombies broke in and Dario died before reaching his daughter. Kinda dark yeah?
And kudos man for showing some love to RE3's save room theme. Many don't talk about it, and it's a shame. For years it was my all time favorite, but after hearing the save room theme's of Code Veronica & Resident Evil Dead Aim, RE3's for me personally got knocked down to third place.
Also you touched on the enemies and them being in one area, then gone the next. I can see why this is a problem, but as someone who's been playing RE3 since its debut, I have something I think can clear this up. See, unlike RE2 and RE1, you are on the streets of Raccoon City, a city, which means, enemies are going to wander. That was one of the coolest things I loved about RE3, just standing in areas and hearing the moans of the zombies be carried by the winds, never knowing where an enemy was and then coming back to an area and finding them gone, or finding a hoard in an area you ran through before. Personally for me, I think this is a brilliant design as it shows how alive the city is (no pun intended)
The SD Perry novel had the time skip but if I remember right they extended it to about a week. Jill was in and out of consciousness most of the time and wasn't really verbal, Carlos stayed with her while eating cans of fruit he found in the church (if it was the church). When she wakes up, like her, she tells Carlos she's been infected so since he wasn't there, and probably cleaned the wound after, he may not have understood that the nemesis could infect. Least that's what I always thought. If I remember right the novel talks about Carlos having either cracked or broken ribs from the fight with the nemesis too, which is why he didn't go to the hospital or venture too far as to not worse his state. The Novel also states that Jill believes she picked up some kind of immunity from the Spencer Mansion that at least stunts the rapid transformation. Or as I personally think, the Nemesis Virus is different than how the T & G virus works since every virus does seem to be unique.
And yeah I gotta say Ive always been kinda critical of how they handled the vaccine in the hospital. Like, he just goes there and knows? I wish it had played out like Carlos realizing Jill wasnt getting better and needed supplies, runs into nicholai who says his usual words about being a supervisor but when he gets blown out the window, he drops a small metal case and inside is one part of the vaccine, instructions about it, and this prompts Carlos to explore the rest of the facility to make the virus to cure Jill.
Also, Nicholai's death, that's the non canon event, i think they went with what they did because they just needed to wrap thing ups. Canon wise he lives as I believe he's mentioned only once after this game.
Also THANK YOU!!!! Thank you for seeing the bubbles as where the Nemesis's body was. I don't think, other than me, I've heard ANYONE mention that before.

This game is one of the best games ever. And you can make it harder by saying, "hand gun only" or have very limited ammo. And then you'll see how hard the vanilla game can be. Just make your own rules like that, to make it harder; you might even die! I've died with no ammo before and it's dreadful

I used to know how to always solve the Clock Puzzle on my first try. The key is to see where the dial hand is at on the picture depicting the present, depening on how further back or further forward the clock hands are on that picture you can figure out the placements easily. The only issue is that I completely forgot to write it down, I use to solve it easily in one try by muscle memory, but due to me not playing RE3 as often as I used to I completely forgot how to solve it on one try.
Whenever I am up to it I can post which crystal goes to which picture based on the dial hand as a helpful tip.

I took Jill saying they in the opening cutscene to refer to people like cheif irons who knew about umbrella's evil experiments who then refused to stop them. They suffered from their refusal to fight.
Also it is very likely that Jill knew Cheif Irons was working with umbrella, as in RE2 there is a note stating that the fbi had done an investigation on cheif irons where they then inform Chris about this connection. Chris and Jill are really close, to where she is the only one to know chris's hideout as shown in the re3 epiglogue so it's also likely Jill knew about iron's connection to umbrella.

Not sure about your complaint regarding the amo amount. You’d have like 30+ grenade rounds of each kind at the end of RE2, but in that game, you didn’t have a constant pursuer like Nemesis (Mr X is a joke compared to him). So yeah, both games gives you tons of amo, especially at the end, but it’s at least justifiable in this game

For me, RE3 represents the explosion of the franchise. 1 was well received, 2 was phenomenal. By the time 3 was nearing completion snd release, we also had a port of re2 coming to the n64, we had the (layer canceled) gbc port of re1, code Veronica was nearing completion on the dreamcast which most of us kids would not soon be lucky to get between the price(kids not working adults) and the fact the console sold out so soon.
We also had the "Romero resident evil movie" in pre production. And yet here, on the ps1 we alrrady had, we were getting another game assuring Jill Valentine, s game woth reworked mechanics, randomization, choices, and a stalker enemy, while also having a finality feeling to it in the promo arts. This game was ay the center of the explosion of RE as a franchise, and I really miss that time period in this series

I'm must say that I categorically disagree with most of your opinions here.
Firstly, Jill's view of the Raccoon City citizens choosing to side with Umbrella despite the cannibal murders and the STARS statements. Both supplementary material and prior entries in the series show that Umbrella had had smaller accidents, abductions, cover ups and illegal practices in and around Raccoon City as far back as the 1960s. A sizable percentage of the population was employed through Umbrella or benefited from their patronage. As someone who grew up near corporate chemical plants that violated safety regulations on a daily basis, people will tolerate massive amounts of corruption as long as they think it won't directly affect them personally and this attitude goes on until something serious happens that can no longer be ignored. The idea that the people of Raccoon were entirely ignorant of the Company's seedier elements(not necessarily the T Virus, but absolutely illegal actions) is not supported in universe as local workers, staff, logistics and people disappearing as soon as they start criticizing Umbrella had been going on for three decades by the time of the Raccoon City Incident. The STARS also made both public and private statements on their findings and were completely ignored, even while the 'Cannibal Murders' continued then picked up again. There is unquestionably a degree of collusion and complacency with the populace. Despite that, Jill still tries to help those she comes across.
The city having been cordoned off and having some barricades fail makes much more sense than the City in RE2 being completely pristine. You have 100,000 people in Raccoon, roughly 90,000 of which would have turned into Zombies while communications were cut off and the city was blockaded. That's the only logical explanations for why people didn't just leave en masse and why both Claire and Leon had no idea anything was wrong. Rioting, looting, panic, and frantic attempts to fortify or escape would be the norm rather than just everyone overnight becoming a zombie without any fuss which makes RE2 the far less sensical portrayal of Raccoon City than 3.
Each of the UBCS soldiers have unique backstories, personalities, functions(and much improved voice acting) within the game that surpass the NPCs of 1 and 2. They are employed by Umbrella, but with the exception of the Supervisors(like Nicholai and Tyrell) have no actual ties to or knowledge of Umbrella's greater scope of planning making them both unwitting pawns and victims. Mikhail serves as a narrative tool for Jill along with Carlos to realize that just because someone worked for Umbrella doesn't mean they are all Weskers or Birkins(Something RE4R would explore further with Luis and the Outbreak series would with Yoko and Linda) and his sacrifice is still remembered well for the cutscene and the setting.
Nicholai isn't portrayed as overtly villainous, just coldly professional and self interested. It's not until the Hospital that there's a definitive antagonist role he's revealed in after his fake out death earlier. He's is also the only RE antagonist that canonically escapes and remains at large without the aid of a viral dues ex machina, where he manages to take on the monsters, the protagonists, his fellow Supervisors and Umbrella to come out on top. Also, it was clearly established throughout the game that Nemesis will kill anyone that gets between he and his target(He shoots, smashes zombies, kills Mikhail, and tries to kill Carlos), Nicholai in the alternate ending(canon ending is Nicholai taking the chopper) is between Nemesis and Jill, therefore fair game, so it does make sense when you put any thought into it or pay attention to what was already set up.
The statement you make on Nemesis being unpredictable is not supported at all since it literally would apply to every single RE title, like any boss he takes time to learn the patterns, but guidebooks and material released with RE3 specifically mention his item drops only occur in optional encounters, i.e. when between forced set piece scripted Boss battles that will happen every time like Trolley Car, Clock Tower Yard, Disposal Room and Rail Gun Room. This is a mechanic to encourage additional playthroughs that can lead to different events, unlockable items/costumes and paths for subsequent playthroughs.
RE3 does progress the story by definitively ending Raccoon City, tying up several loose ends from RE2 and the ending for it is far more heartfelt than RE2's ending which goes right into a rock song, RE3 lays out the cost of the outbreak and the human element.
Finally, RE3 barely recycled anything from 2, you should actually look into the development cycle where the Dev team took a very limited concept and expanded on it greatly with all new zombie models(down to the faces), areas, weapons and entirely new gameplay mechanics with captivating characters. You're entitled to your opinions, but of the original three games, RE3 is far from the Black Sheep and has aged the best of the three titles.

    • @WitchTaunter
      @WitchTaunter  Рік тому

You make some good points, but there are a few things I think you might overlook or misunderstand in my video.
You are right that corruption can be easily overlooked, but to accuse the general people of RC still feels like a massive overshoot. Surely not every aspect of the town has connections to Umbrella, probably not even a majority. And STARS had evidence against them to prevent even the good people from pursuing the case. There were thousands of innocents who died as well, likely including children. If you think she is only referring to those who ignored Umbrella's wrongdoings then sure, but surely we can agree that "they" is a really broad way to refer to them when talking about the citizens in the town.
I mostly agree with this point, but it seems like a big coincidence that either Claire/Leon would enter the one unbarricaded space, or that they would not see the massive amounts of destruction that took place the day before. Whether you chalk that up as a mistake on RE2 for being too clean for destroyed city, or RE3 for breaking consistency, is up to you.
Not sure I would agree that the NPCs in 3 are deeper or better than the previous games. Maybe RE1, but RE2 has a lot going for it in terms of characters. Voice acting is also about on par with 2, 1 is a low bar. The "not all Umbrella" with Jill was covered pretty well with Carlos, and in retrospect I would've covered more about Mikhail's impact on the story, but I have criticisms about how out of the way it is and how Jill does dumb stuff within it.
I still think Nicholai is clearly antagonistic from the start and it is easy to predict that he'd be the bad guy. Having to be convinced to have a supercop on his side feels really weird considering his self-interest to stay alive, but if you think that is from him knowing Nemesis is after Jill then I'd say that shows his hand fairly early. But I did say that I think it is cool that he is a main villain that isn't just a big scary monster for once. His success determining his worth is up to you. But the Nemesis thing still really sounds bad to me. Nemesis has attacked people who are in his way, directly attacking him or assisting in Jill's escape, even if it is just a zombie standing in his way. He never went for just some guy in a hallway. And he is between Nemesis and Jill? What, you mean with Nemesis being in the vents? Not only does that not resemble anything Nemesis has done before (he's more of a chase and blast through walls monster), but that doesn't cause a directly blockage to Jill. He doesn't even go for Jill until she enters the trash disposal. So no, I still think this was terrible.
I'm not sure what you mean by this one, might need clarification. If you are saying that he only drops items on optional encounters, then no he will drop it at specific ones and then show up again a bit later where if you knock him down again then nothing will drop and the lines between each encounter are hard to determine. If you are saying that I and any player should be expected to look up guides and walkthroughs just to learn when Nemesis will drop things, then I'd say no, that should be clear to any player and 3rd party guides should never be necessary. and if you are just saying that Nemesis' moves are unpredictable then yeah, because I'd say he is the most unpredictable boss out of all the RE games yet, but I never needed a guide or multiple playthroughs to beat older bosses (nor this time, but they might've helped).
I feel like we wouldn't need an entire game dedicated to the destruction of the town. We've seen most of the horrors that occurred in it from RE2, and while the missile launch is important, it could have easily been recapped, kinda like RE4 just suddenly dropping the death of Umbrella. That's why I feel like RE3 would've been perfect for a side game, it has some importance to the story, but as much as the ones that came before and after, but that's just my opinion. And I don't think the ending being campy or "heartfelt" has much importance outside of your subjective taste.
I could be wrong because this video is years old at this point, but I thought I only said the game reused assets like the RPD here. I think it is pretty clear that RE3 has a lot going for it on it's own, nothing like RE Survivor which did reuse tons of assets. I also go plenty in depth about the game's mechanics and story and whether that was a fruitful effort. I would still stand by my statement of it feeling like a black sheep to me, but thank you for sharing an essay of your opinion here!

    • @grandadmiralzaarin4962

@@WitchTaunter I appreciate your taking the time to reply and engage with a viewpoint that does not match your own in a detailed and thought out manner. That is both rare and commendable as a trait. I will address your reply in kind.
I do think Jill means the citizens that were 'in the know' and not children or innocents. It's pretty clear when she tells Mikhail that the zombies are also 'victims of Umbrella' and her attempts to reason with Dario even antagonistic as he is show she cares deeply about the people of Raccoon City.
The inconsistencies are certainly there, but remember, Leon and Claire also encountered a lot of destruction closer to the RPD. 2 showed a very small glimpse of the city, where 3 focused entirely on the city itself and how the outbreak affected the citizens and their reactions. The Outbreak had been ongoing for nearly a week when Leon and Claire rode in so the city not being in worse state visually is due to the needs of the story to get Leon and Claire into the RPD.
For the item drops, Nemesis has seven item drops that are determined by how many times you down him. Each time, you get the next item in the list. This is only on Hard Mode and only for the optional fights. There are no drops on Easy Mode. This was explained(albeit briefly) in the original paperback game book that came tucked into the game case. More comprehensive explanations were in the printed guides(Just saying that shows how old I am, that I remember printed guidebooks and paper inserts) which were the same ways bonus items were mentioned in both RE2 and RE1 in the old days of PS1.
The main thing here is RE3 massively expanded choice and experience from the prior established titles. There were more NPCs with different fates based on character choice than 2 as well as an expanded sense of the setting. RE3 was the first time Raccoon City was fleshed out as an actual city, the people and the tragedy that befell them. I would argue that it definitely needed a full game to cover the end of the city that was central to the events of 1,2 and 3(also 0 and later the Outbreak series) and that just quickly recapping it ala OG RE4 is not only unsatisfying, but honestly kind of lazy as just handwaving Umbrella away in two sentences offscreen always left a sour taste in my mouth in 4, which thankfully was fixed in its remake. I'd also point out that both Code Veronica and RE4 are as much Side Stories as RE3 is, with both being fairly self contained and having little to do with the wider world.
As Krauser said, "We're two sides of the same coin so we'll never see eye to eye." in terms of our takes on RE3, but I can respect your view as your own and admire that you valued it enough to make a retrospective on it to convey that as well as engage with an alternative viewpoint.

No problem, I wouldn't have made an hour and half long video if I didn't care about discussion of this franchise I love.
I agree with those sentiments, I just think that the wording is extremely poor and could easily be interpreted in a horrible way, especially if you have to learn about her care for others as you play further into the game.
I agree here too, but I'd say that breaking logic or consistency "for the needs of the story" is poor writing. Sounds like you mostly put the blame on RE2.
There are limits to how many times you can down Nemesis for an item within a span of time. For example, If you blow Nemesis up in the diner and then immediately fight him again when he gets back up, he will not drop anything. In my video I use an example where I down Nemesis on the train with Mikhail, and nothing is dropped. This is the vagueness I was talking about, if you choose to fight Nemesis at a point like this thinking you will get the goodies earlier, you will be wrong, you can only get the AR/Infinite ammo around the clock tower.
I agree again that the game does expand on Raccoon City, my argument is more that we didn't NEED it. It's good to do, but I just don't feel like it warrants the numbered title, at least not more than Code Veronica. They do expand on it more in sequels like you mentioned, but I was working from the POV when RE3 first released. Anything could have happened if RE3 didn't have the prominence it did as a numbered sequel, but that's hard to determine anything for a fact. I do also have issues with RE4's reveal of umbrella, and i plan to talk about in when I get to the game in my retrospectives, but I think I'd fall more on the side that says it was the execution than the actual intention. I do think there is a satisfying way to explain events like that but RE4 quickly brushed it aside. My point though is less about it being self-contained and more about a lack of progression in the timeline and the reuse of previous locations. RE3 only barely continues the story from RE2 by explaining the end to Raccoon City, but compare that to Code Veronica which took place months later, showed the next steps in taking down Umbrella, bringing back old villains and introducing their plotlines, and way more, I think it is night and day.
You aren't the only person to have had big disagreements with me here, this is probably my most controversial video so far, sometimes because of my inexperience in writing these scripts, sometimes because of interpretations of the game. But, I'm glad I can still discuss it with people civilly (usually).

You may say I'm just bad at the game but I hated the nemesis boss fights. You have to keep moving which means the camera angle keeps changing whilst you're fighting. Half the time I was fighting him I couldn't even see nemesis and the other half he was knocking me down then hitting me again before Jill had a chance to get back to her feet.
I basically just won eventually out of luck rather than mastering the fight but it took me hours.
Also sometimes he just doesn't go where you want him to, his movements is unpredictable.
