Exactly one year ago today we found out we were going to have a baby! I took another pregnancy test thinking it was going to be negative like it always was but finally got that positive!!+ It took exactly one year of trying for us to get pregnant.. every month I wasn’t I felt so sad/disappointed. It felt like everyone else around me was able to get pregnant and I just kept questioning why not me? I couldn’t understand it. After Abigail was born I finally know the answer to that question. It was so SHE was the one who could come into my life and no one else. Abigail was meant to be our baby and I am so grateful/blessed it was her. I’m such a believer in the butterfly effect & everything happening for a reason. I wouldn’t revise a single moment of my past because everything is what lead to this particular angel baby to coming into our lives. ♥️

So for anyone out there who is having a hard time conceiving your time will come no matter how it happens, everything happens for a reason. ♥️

The “everyone getting pregnant but me” is so real! Interestingly though, the other girls getting pregnant felt the same way at some point too. This shows we all go through a similar experience more or less. Thank you for sharing your experience. I can tell in your voice it was a tough time, but I am so happy you had a positive pregnancy test!
Yep. I was the "everyone's getting pregnant but me" girl for a while, then I lost my first baby at 12 weeks, so then seeing pregnant women everywhere bothered me 1000 times more. Just awful. And then I got pregnant with my daughter like the same month my first baby would have been born.
So you really never know. When I stopped focusing on it and worrying so much is when it happened.
So you're definitely right though, a lot of people that are now pregnant were in that position before.
Me too I’m feeling that now and the girls I do know that openly do not want kids having them and I’ve been trying for so long and o can’t get pregnant
It took 5 years for me to conceive my daughter. All checks I had kept coming back all is well. The month she was conceived it was a (sorry tmi) quickie in the middle of the day, got straight up afterwards cleaned up and carried on with what we originally doing. We'd just come back from a holiday where we discussed the fact a baby was never going to be in our future, we converted one of the spare rooms into a games room, I changed jobs that month too.
The pain each month of negative tests and hearing more pregnancy announcements its heart breaking but all that pain goes away when you hold that baby. My daughter is nearly 10 now and she is the best thing that has ever happen to me 🥰
Hearing all of the pregnancy announcements truly is heart-breaking. You're also torn because you really want to be so happy for them but you feel like such an outsider to motherhood. It's heart wrenching. Thank you for sharing your story.💜

Make sure u get off prior to him. Try on day 13, 14, 15 of when u start your period. I’d also say gain a little weight too. Like 8 lbs extra. Warms ur body temp too.

Ok I will share this and hope it helps someone out there get pregnant. Do get and use ovulation sticks. My cycle is 28 days so I assumed that I would be most fertile around day 14 and so while ttc I focused most on days 12 to 16. But after buying the ovulation sticks I discovered that I was releasing the egg quite early.. meaning that by day 13 it was already too late!!! I got pregnant 2 months after realising this.
I hope every woman on here ttc gets pregnant soon 🤞

Its been really hard emotionally on me here lately. Women left n right getting preg or got pregnant too fast. Less then a year married or less then 2 or 3. N i so strongly want to get pregnant. I'm 38 n my husband 39. 7 years married. Feel more ready now. Good luck to u.

I feel for these women. It seems like forever when you want a baby. But I think most people don't realize that taking a year is a totally normal timespan to get pregnant. Don't put so much pressure on yourselves.

I agree with not telling people. My friends in the past have even gone far as to only announce when they’ve delivered. So following suit!

Tips: make sure you keep WARM!! I cant emphasize this enough.. wear socks all the damn time.. Get a heating pad and do the castor oil rub- never do it on ovulation days.. Sleep..sleep..sleep.. Make sure you hey enough sleep.. Its important ladies that we do the work and give yourself the best chance possible.. Be excited.. day dream about it. Think about the joy that it brings and not focusing on the negative.. a happy soul attracts pregnancy.. Diet is very important and weight.

I’ve an adorable 5 year-old daughter at my age of forty-five.A West health doctormedic adviced me there was a little chance of me conceiving with my egg. Short story time, but I understand this feeling! On Valentine’s Day this year my best friend told me she was pregnant and I told her I’ve been trying for a year. So I took a test the same day just for the heck of it and it was positive! We found out I was having a girl, then 2 weeks later had a miscarriage. Everyone around us is pregnant so it’s hard to keep positive, so my advice is keep your hopes up no matter what we are hoping for a rainbow baby one day ❤️

Thank you so much for your transparency. I have a 13 year old son and I told God I didn't want anymore children until I got married. So we've been married a year now. I had been on birth control since my son was born but got off after about 2 or 3 months of marriage. I've done and felt everything you mentioned. I've been taking prenatals, drinking the tea (not daily but often), etc. I use the Flo app though and have ovulation kits and pregnancy tests on deck. Just recently when my cycle came I started feeling down, sad, depressed, and frustrated. I was reminded not to forget what God promised me and then today I saw your video. You made my heart hurt when you talked about “it will happen for you.” I been hearing that for a year and a half now, all of my friends are getting pregnant currently and I’m happy for them but it’s very difficult to not be able to conceive. Depo shot messed my body up and after is when I got diagnosed with PCOS I was on depo for a year I’ve been off birth control completely for like 2 years and I’m having issues even having a period because my hormones are imbalanced! This video gave me hope!
Same! I had one injection in octobwr of 2018 and didnt get a period until may of 2019. I'm still messed up. One month it could be a 50+ day cycle. The next month a 12-20 day cycle.

I feel like lately when I watch anything pregnancy related on UA-cam they are always like yea we weren't even really trying we got pregnant or it only took two months🙄 There are so many women month after month who are struggling including myself. I had the “why them and not us” mentally and it hurt our family.

Hi Nikki, thank you sooo much for sharing your story. It is extremely hard to deal with the fact that you have to work a lot harder than some to get pregnant! You said exactly how i am feeling and it is very comforting to know that I am not alone. Its so hard to not obsess over getting pregnant struggles. I have just been trying to focus on working out and eating healthy and hopefully everything else (getting pregnant) will fall into place. When you were talking about your period skipping a month and it never skips a month and you still weren't pregnant, i completely feel you on that. So annoying LOL. Its a small stab to the heart every month your period comes. I will try the fertility tea and the ovulation kits and praying for the best. My boyfriend just submitted a sperm sample today to check him out since all the test i have had done came back normal even with my fibroids. And yes ladies, sometimes it is the man. And sometimes its neither just timing. I pray all of you watching this video get pregnant as easy as possible. Very happy you were able to concieve Nikki and thanks again for sharing!! :)
You can get bulk ovulation test strips off Amazon as well as pregnancy tests. Also, there’s tea called red raspberry leaf tea that is basically the same thing it supports female health and prepares body for baby as well as regulates cycles. Thank you for being so candid. My daughter got married September 2019. They started to try in January.. tears started to come to my eyes when you said “ everyone else getting pregnant”. She says the same thing and she also asks me “ why not me, mom? It breaks my heart. . I have cried with her and tried my best as her mom to keep her encouraged. Congratulations

My husband and I got married around the same time as your daughter and have made the big decision to starting trying soon. I wouldn’t dare tell my mother though because I just know she would only try to discourage me and tell me that I’m not ready to be a mother.
bluecannibaleyes starting a family is an important decision. And I’m glad you have made the decision to start. Honestly, nobody is ever really ready to be a parent. I mean, no matter age or financial status etc... becoming a parent is a on the job training. And you never complete training. Wanting to become a parent shows, at the very least, you are ready to put someone else above all others. My daughter asked me when I knew I was ready to be a parent recently, I told her I’m still not ready. 😉. Just a suggestion but if you haven’t seen the movie Parenthood, with Steve Martin. I highly recommend it. Jason Robards, (RIP) plays the grumpy older parent and there is a scene where he is talking to Steve Martin’s character at a baseball field. What he says in that scene basically encapsulates parenting. It’s a really beautiful movie. Keanu Reeves is in it also. I will be praying for you and your family.

I kind of came to same the conclusion: no one is ever 100% ‘ready‘ to be a parent, but my husband and I have been talking about it for years and are far more ready than most people who actually have kids, so we should be just fine. I came to the realization that all the things stopping me from starting a family (mostly finances and dealing with my parents) are mostly just excuses because I’m scared. When I stop and think about it, my husband and I are actually financially better off than a lot of first-time parents (especially with how the economy is right now), so I shouldn’t be as worried as I am about it. I realize that I’ve probably set my standards way too high for how ‘financially stable’ we actually need to be, because my parents are wealthy and I keep holding myself to their standards, which my husband and I will never feasibly achieve. We have a paid-for house, two paid-for cars, and no debt; that’s better than a lot of first-time parents. It’s better off than his parents were. It’s better off than my cousins were when they had their kids. Heck, it’s actually even better off than my parents were when they had me. And unlike a lot of first time parents, there is no ‘surprise’ or ‘unplanned’ or ‘unwanted’ factor here. I already feel hyper protective and loving of my children and they don’t even exist yet. I feel like I’ll want to tell my child about how much I’ve always loved them every day of his or her life. I’ve felt like this protective motherly instinct kicking in for years but it’s only been recently that I’ve realized I couldn’t possibly be a bad mother if I love my child before it’s even a twinkle in my eye. It’s huge for me because a big part of my fear is that I won’t have enough motherly instincts because I haven’t had any for most of my life.
Most of my life I hated kids and was certain that I’d never ever want them. But things started to change since I first started dating my husband. My reproductive and motherly instincts didn’t kick in until late (but luckily not *too* late). I’ve come so far over the past few years with my husband, and I feel like something has been slowly revealing to me that I *do* actually have motherly instincts and that I’ll do just fine. It was just so hard to stop overthinking it and finally give in to trusting those instincts. But I have now and I have no regrets.
My husband has wanted to be a father for longer than I’ve wanted to be a mother, but he has always been so patient with me and let me take things as slowly as I needed to. He’s never pushed me, just encouraged me, supported me, and helped me to find those instincts on my own. When I think about how patient my husband is and how supportive he has been throughout our relationship journey, I realize that’s why I love him so much and why I picked him to be the one I want to spend the rest of my life with and raise children with. People always say relationships are hard and take work, but our relationship has always been perfect. We’ve know each other for over a decade and we were best friends long before we ever dreamed of being husband and wife. We’ve been through thick and thin together but even during the hard times, our relationship has never been hard. I know things will change when we have kids, but I have no doubt that we will adapt to it just as seamlessly as we adapted from being friends, to dating, to being engaged, to being married. Our relationship has been through a lot of changes over the years, but it’s always been perfect at every stage. I’ve never had any doubt that he will be an amazing dad; it’s always just been me that I’ve always been worried about. But I know that we’re ready to start trying now, and that every step beyond this decision will only be more and more exciting for my husband and I. I know that the progression of our family will be just and beautiful and perfect as the progression of our relationship has been. We know it’s not easy, but we’ve already been through a lot of things that weren’t easy, and we came out on the other side with a love stronger than ever.
Sorry for rambling and revealing way too much about my life, but thinking about this stuff has really melted my brain lately. 😅

It just sounds like you needed to find the right person to share in the journey. From personal experience, money, houses paid for or not, it all comes down to the two people who will help a new life grow and learn. The very second you find out you are expecting you will become ever more protective of your wee one. My son, who’s 24, never liked kids, even when he was one. 🤦🏻♀️ But he says now he can’t wait to be an uncle. So we all change. If you happen to watch that movie look me up and tell me what you think. EVERYONE says stop stressing but its my dream to be a mom and I am so so scared of not being able to have children my husband wants a child so badly and I hate feeling like I cant give that to him. It’s been almost 2 years that my husband and I have been trying to conceive for our 3rd and we haven’t really looked into fertility vitamins, gummies, hard candy, etc. until recently (like back in February 2020, haha) because I thought in the back of my mind, “when the time comes, it’ll come.” However, It did bother me too at the same time, to the point of almost giving up but I kept reminding myself to be patient. Also, to keep in mind to eat a healthy diet and exercising often. Yes, sometimes it’s stressful but we are trying not to stress so much about it, especially me. I hate the fact that sometimes it has to be like an additional chore for us to do. Btw, I also have the Pink Stork hard sweet candies. I’ll definitely look into the fertility tea as well. I've been the newlywed coworker since 2018. I work in a doctors office so they ask at least every month if I'm pregnant or how's it going (pregnancy test always available) I know they are happy and anxious for me but its truly heartbreaking. They know how much I want a baby, they see how I'm with kids. Me and my girlfriend are trying for our first baby. I'm 22 this year and my girlfriend is one year younger, we've been waiting years before trying to make a baby but now we feel like it's time.
