With the Stash App, I was able to start small, investing amounts as little as $5 a week, perfect for someone just starting off and not quite ready to drop $10,000 in one go.
Fast forward to five years later, and my portfolio has grown substantially thanks to the Stash App's features like Auto Invest. This automatic tool pulled money from my bank account each week, investing it in a mix of stocks, bonds, and ETFs that I had previously selected. This allowed me to focus on other important aspects of my life, like paying down debt, without worrying about manually investing each week.
However, my Stash App journey wasn't always smooth sailing. The onset of the global pandemic in 2020 was a tumultuous period for everyone, investors included. Nevertheless, working from home and saving on daily expenses allowed me to invest more than the usual $5 weekly commitment into my Stash account. I began investing in single stocks and ETFs like Apple and Delta Airlines, anticipating that the market would recover eventually.
True to my instincts, the market did recover, and my Stash investments flourished. Today, my portfolio stands at a robust $5,110, a stark contrast from the $800 I had in 2020. More impressively, this was achieved with a monthly investment of just $10, proving that you don't have to be a big spender to see significant growth with the Stash App.
Of course, not all investments were a success. Some stocks, like Clear Secure and Corporate Cannabis, were less profitable than others. Despite these minor setbacks, the overall portfolio saw a positive return of 31%. This reaffirms that, while investing does carry risk, the rewards can be substantial if you have the patience and consistency.
The Stash App also simplifies the investing process, making it ideal for beginners. Users can select the investments they're passionate about, be it commodities, the broad market, or other sectors. The platform then offers a simplified explanation of each investment option, reducing the need for extensive research. It truly is the perfect beginner's tool for those wanting to start their investment journey.
By investing live in the video, we explore ETFs like Destination Recreation, which encompasses leisure, hospitality, food, and beverage companies. Such diversification is a safer bet for beginners compared to single stocks, which carry a higher risk.
This Stash App review demonstrates that with the right tools and a little perseverance, anyone can start investing. Whether it's $5 a week or $10 a month, it's never too late to start your journey towards financial freedom. Explore the Stash App, invest in what interests you, and watch your portfolio grow with time.
With its user-friendly interface, the Stash App is indeed the perfect investing app for beginners. Dive into this Stash App Review and learn more about my journey, the platform's unique features, and how it can help you secure your financial future.
Let's dive into some of the key features of the Stash App that make it an ideal investment platform:
Fractional Shares: One of the biggest advantages of the Stash App is the ability to buy fractional shares. This means that instead of needing to save up enough money to buy a full share of a company, which can be hundreds or even thousands of dollars, you can start investing with much smaller amounts.

I just love Stash. I began in 2019 after watching one of their commercials. I became intrigued & started with $500. Now in 2023 I’m going on 29K.

@@abdulrahimallie4098 like Bob says you need to do your own research. I’ve done my mistakes but learned from. There’s a lot of information out there such as books, UA-cam & subscriptions you pay for, which are very helpful. But I’ve stuck with it and put it in $130 a week a side from my $5 Roth IRA when I saw Bob’s video. Good luck

One reason why I like Stash for some basic brokerage is their "Stash Party". Get pennies in a stock but over time it all accumulates and it all (mostly) earns dividends that just get reinvested. Since I mainly use other brokerages, I hardly touch my portfolio in STASH and kind of forget about it (except the stash parties) and keep on living life. It becomes a surprise every time when I do look at it and see what I have in there.

I loved using stash and I agree with everything you say. Unfortunately, they started charging so I moved my money to another brokerage. Great video!

Yes great point, the $3/mo is somewhat strange compared to other apps that don’t have this charge

I noticed the dip in CC a few days ago. I was thinking about buying in. It still has a decent dividend yield. Though, I've been more into ETFs and bonds lately.

I definitely have losers like ORC, SDIV, SPFF from watching other financial channels. I was thinking about how I have no issue throwing $200 at roulette over a night in a casino, so I started throwing $100 a month into undervalued dividend stocks to see what happens, with the mindeset it could be lost, as it would be at the casino. It's like personal version of the magik formula. I got MPW & PSTL. I'm going to sell my QQQ i think. I spent $650 total on it over years and it's paid a measley $3.50 in dividends with a whopping $54 in price appreciation.

Count how many weeks there is a year and that $5 a week and how many years you paid that.

RIP fellow MJ holder. I have averaged down to $4.19 (wish it were $4.20 that would have been more funny) per share but it hurts seeing it at the $2s. I fear I will be sitting with that one for the next year and a half.

I invested in zoom before it blew up and regret not selling it earlier. Recovered from -50% used to be up 60% at its prime for me. And its at -15% but def selling it once im positive again.

If you're investing, don't sell when it's down. But how much is enough? Having some money tied up in a loser might do better by cutting your loss (tax deductible) and reinvesting it in something else that could possibly gain more than "bag holding." Everything is at risk though.

  • @CaptJackAubreyOfTheRoyalNavy

Stash doesn't offer round-ups on credit cards anymore! Terrible! I don't want to use their debit card to do round-up investing. Going to Acorns, which is a bummer because you can't pick ETFs and stocks yourself on Acorns.
