My opinion of investing in index funds: if the fund tanks, it's because the index tanked, which means the economy is in shambles and the state of my portfolio is probably the least of my worries.

I love this approach of investing, specially, for international folks like me where putting 20 dollars a day or a 100 a day is challenging. 5 dollars a day is not a lot but it gets you started and it builds the habit.

I picked 5 single stocks and invest $5 a day in order of worst performing on Monday to the best performing on Friday. I’m up 30 percent. Kraft, Exxon, apple, PNC and union pacific railroad. All on Webull and uninvested money is earning interest in the savings account. Enjoy your videos

I listened again and still unsure, tell me; when on the daily purchase, does the app buy at the low of the day? Also, you spoke of purchasing daily, then you went to the application sheet to check the boxes and there was not box for daily. Just monthly, quarterly and yearly and you got excited saying it would be great if able to buy daily.
i’ve read and done some research just wondering if all or most s&p 500 stocks offer about the same increase on a consistent basis or if one is better than the rest

Even if you can’t do the $7.27/day, and just do $5 or $6 it still makes great gains. I love this. Even if it’s $1/day if you have to cut back for a little bit it still working! This is what I do with my Robinhood portfolios and I love it!
What you talking about $1 is not even close to the same as $7.27, $5, or $6 the outcomes is numbers based not behavior based.... UA-camrs don't tell the truth always that a high income or a very low spending rate or very low expenses is the key to having options.

Phil town talks about investing in what you know. So it would make sense to invest in nvidia if you're familiar with that industry in that market. You would know when to get out and when to get in

I started doing the voo and eth yesterday. I also got some nvidia and sofi technologies.
Can you break down Sofi?… I’m not “all in” on it, but I do have a recurring investment in it. Me looking at it, it looks poised to grow. It’s turning a profit for the first time, and is continuing to reduce its debt, but it’s been kinda stagnant.
I made $10K profit in PLTR, trimmed the fat and no longer have skin in the game but still own a considerable amount of shares. I am very optimistic about PLTR's future but it's better when you hedge your position because everything could go south very fast.
Unfortunately at the time I made a huge mistake and listened to Financial Education Jeremy and put a bit over 25% of my portfolio on TTCF, lost everything. And another 5% on CRSR, but that one might still have some chance to recover a bit, holding that one. Lesson learned the hard way.

I have a few single stocks for entertainment but the bulk of my money is in SCHD, SPYI, TLT, VTI, JEPI... boring crap because I don't have the constitution for chasing the 10x. I mean I will put 10$ in something for fun but that's it. I do 23$ a day and the growth has bee great.

You can set it to the back account or buying power.
To be fair to the meme stocks, it wasn't about making people rich, it was literally about stopping short sellers etc from shorting the stock and walking away rich while collapsing companies. You can tell it was effective because lawmakers tried to change the rules to stop it.
You only keep the stock for roughly as long as it's going up and drop it when it comes back down. It's a short term thing.
I agree with you. I'm a firm believer in the $5a/day philosophy...
However, if you invested £500 a month, rather than that £5 a day, you're in the market for a longer period of time, which means, historically, on average, you'll be up on those who invest daily

@@levimanning2311 over a significant amount of time, lump summing compared to adding daily will return greater results, simply because of the sheer volume in the market compared to if you do it daily
The Thing is with "Big and most talked about Stocks" is , almost all Hypestocks went down cause of Growth Problems , like Cisco Systems . Stocks like Microsoft , Amazon and Nvidia and so on they got Growth Rates out of this World . My believe is they still be on Top in 10 Years , they are newcommers for sure but nothing like Microsoft or Amazon .

It’s really up to you. You can literally “VOO and chill.” But you can always do more if you want to get in the weeds of it.
Many etfs have got a huge overlap so if you do pick a few , make sure they isn’t a huge overlap
My £100 a month in 2013 whilst I was a student, which increased to £300 a month in 2016 and £500 a month in 2018 is now in 6 figures. I'm more than 200% up on total deposits, it's in an ISA so tax free in UK. Was 70% individual stocks until 2016 when I watched a Warren Buffet video, since it's been 95% Index/ETF.
Earlier you invest in Index fund and stay consistent and patient, ideally not even look at the fund, have it automated and look back annually. I only invested what I didn't need for my living expenses and see it as detached from me, in 13 years I'm retiring at an age whilst my body is strong instead of 50s, 60s.
instead of everyday i only buy on red days and just roll the money over into that day on my ira schd and jepi
Instead of doing 5*365, you could just do 5*365.25, so that every 4 years you make up the extra day for the leap year with that extra 0.25, instead of having to change your investment amount every 4th year.

Could anyone explain the “all” on Robinhood? Could you take that number and subtract from your balance and that’s how you figure out how much you’ve invested? Or how can you figure out how much you have invested?
Market value - total return = how much you’ve invested ;)
If you click on the very beginning of the graph when you select all it’ll say 0.00 growth and tell you how much you’ve invested in total for your stocks.

VOO is a growth etf. Just has the S&p500stocks (which is currently tech heavy
$5/day is a massive amount of money for the average person. It’s equivalent to $150/mo.
I suppose it would be realistic for a college student who gets an allowance from their parents.
but for an "average person" thats easily just not buying a coffee one day, taco bell one day, pizza on the weekends, going out for a few beers... all those trivial expenses can easily get you closer to your goal if you want to get into investing. i'm giving this a try with just what i would typically spend on days i have to drive into the office twice a week. instead of picking up a coffee and breakfast, i'm going to give robinhood a chance and my waistline a break!! it might not be the $5 a day he's doing, but that's still $20/week for me.
GE has made a big turn around though, don't sleep on them
The Altman Z score for GE remains in the distress zone. The ROIC and ratios are also in the lows. There’s better options than GE in the market.
Currently 60$ plus per share for me ... when GE goes so does our infrastructure

I make $33 an hour currently do i figured i would invest 1 hour of my 12 hour shift since after 8 i mske that back up in the 4 hours of overtime daily. So if anyone struggling with how much to invest just do your hourly rate everyday or pick up a couple hours of ot and invest the overtime income judt an idea i hope this helps someone

Most people try an max out their Roth and then the rest of year a normal brokerage or a traditional Ira. But I’m not a financial advisor

How is keeping uninvested money and only buying x amount every day or week better than investing most of it at once and keeping your investment to a monthly recurrence where maybe time the market if its not going to be the bottom its going to be somewhere close to it.

Modern brokerages and turbo tax allow for a pretty seamless experience where you don’t have to do anything about the amount of trades

NIO, SOFI, and LCID are three examples of overhyped individual stocks. If the $5 a day challenge is followed regularly over a long period of time, prosperity can result. This video has some useful information.

The demo at the end is wrong tho, no one with a brain would put 100% of their money into one single stock, that'd be crazy. Also, I do believe you can do better than indexes if you get a good number of DIVERSIFIED stocks.
Betting on an index is for the lazy people out there that just don't want to bother learning/experimenting/adapting and prefer to pay 0.x% for someone to handle their investments.
I still think Apple is heavily overvalued and overhyped. They do too little to be worth that much. Laptops and phones. Thats it, with phones being only like 20% of the global market. That bubble will pop at some point.
