  • After a week waiting for better weather we leave Laurieton for the short trip to Port Macquarie where we take on fuel.
We cruise extensively along the East Australian Coast on our 13 meter catamaran. Join us as we explore new cruising grounds, cross bars, fix all kinds of problems, ride out rough weather and live aboard for extended periods.
We even have a playlist that gets us on other peoples boats.
We hope that our videos encourage others to get on board and experience this fantastic lifestyle.

The Laurieton hardware is also excellent, even stock some yacht paints at very competitive prices.
Not to mention the excellent butchers and the feed at the fish co-op.

I appreciate your expert advice and thorough information on the areas you are also enjoying. At 81 years old, I would love to join your ranks and look forward to finding a similar vessel as yours, so that I can get back on the water again. Being now armed with the information of my email address, I would love the hear from you on how I can achieve my dream again.

My only advice would be to do it Ashley. Plenty of info in some of my other videos, but ask any questions and I'll try to answer them. Cheers dude.

Thanks for another great video Norm. Have you thought of putting a camera out the back to record whats coming up behind you when crossing bars? Would have made for some great footage coming into Laurieton. Snowing here, keep heading north dude.☺

Your videos are always interesting and engaging. Great stuff, Norm. I wonder that unusual rig on the boat going past at about 7:44 is called.

A Ben Lexan design..Can't remember the name of em.
Unstayed carbon fibre masts. The boat was named Blue Jay. Has been all over the world.

We left Port Macquarie about 5 weeks ago. Stuck there for about a week waiting for the bar to settle but was still a shocker getting out. Ran down to South West Rocks bar and was pretty good. Saw you anchored down the river a ways. Nice little spot for an overnighter.

This Bar can be very scary but not as bad as Yamba NSW

Many of them were pretty gnarly this trip Dude.
A little glad to be further north and not having to deal with them.

Getting picked up and surfed in is not the advice you should be dishing out. Actually the opposite dude. Unsubbed, all the best hero

Sorry to hear that Dude. I think it's important for people to see what can happen and I can assure you I didn't plan to be on the front of that wave.
