Merry Christmas! And an update. Plans for 2025.

- Hello everyone! So, it's the end of the year and snow has already been and gone for us. Perhaps there will be more in the new year.
But one thing is for sure, you get a 'face reveal'.
Its my first Christmas as the Dwarven Moustache here and I'm still to properly grow one - though Papa Dwarven Moustache was the main moustache about, the one that the channel is named after,
So, here, I talk about some of the stuff that's happened over the last year, my motives for starting up the channel - briefly - though I will probably do a better video homing in on that later on.
I talk of what I've done this last year and where I plan in going in the next. The proects I've started, finished and the ones I'd like to complete, eventually.
Though I have completed my Fimir army, and a good proportion of my Wood Elf army, I'm still to get that 12,000 my all done.
There's my Dwarves, High Elves and my HYW/Bretonnian/Burgundian armies that I'd like to work on a lot.
There getting numerous games of The Woods in and I will hopefully get some actually Warhammer Fantasy in, and some Hail Caesar, and some Here's the Ruckus and Never Mind the Billhooks, and some Kings of War.
And don't forget Flintloque and Slaughterloo. Or some Battletech.
I'd also like to get a ttrpg campaign in as well, if I can.
There's be a trip to Warhammer World I intend on doing, and perhaps to near Hull. Plus, The Woods In The Woods is hopefully on again during the summer.
So, there'll be lots of painting, studying medieval history and eventually some playing as well.
I just need to knuckle down and get it all done. And one mustn't forget the scenery making as well.
There's a busy year ahead, if things don't get in the way.

I thought it a good idea to do an update video. Though its long, longer than I expected, I thought I'd share a couple of things about why I started the channel, what I've done in the year so far and what I intend on doing in 2025.
For me, much more modelling, and hopefully getting out to actually film some games. Some TTRPG stuff would be fun to do as well. Bit as I'm getting some armies together again, actually getting to film some games seems a great idea.

Thanks very much and Merry Christmas. I'm looking forward to chatting in the MLG Discord too. Everyone's been really friendly so far. Hopefully, at some point soon, I'll be able to get up to MLG and visit in person. I've some mates in the general area, so I'll have to poke them into actually coming along.

Merry Xmas. I've seen your face in previous iterations of your vids. I have never shown my face in my UA-cam vids, but then again, the way I do them really doesn't give me the opportunity!!!
BTW, your experience of being 'taken down' has terrified me! If they did it to me a vast amount of work would be wasted!

Yes, that really shook me at the time. One of the only main things I can think of that I'd done wrong - with hindsight - was that I'd not properly verified my channel, meaning that I hadn't shown any ID or the video of me for facial recognition. I had wondered if it was an ex-friend being petty, or that the original Egil had been for that sake of another friend's alter ego in Viking reenactment.
I'd also wondered if it had been some detail on a model that had been mistaken for a real weapon or something; or that a link to a shop had been classified me as 'selling' something. I've tried since to be clear about me having actually bought the stuff I've bought - which is all my models. I'd wondered if it had thought about it being undisclosed sponsorship. I just try to be clear about that.
I'd always thought that if it was a problem with a specific video, then that video specifically would be removed or challenged.
Many of those seem to be easily appealed if I'd perhaps verified my channel. It's s]puzzled me since. It had been a bit heartbreaking at the time. I hope it doesn't happen again in a few months.
@@DwarvenMoustache-ek3ok I am entirely unaware of any 'verification' requirement for UA-cam. Maybe I did whatever was required and just cannot recall? Your story makes me think maybe I should just carry on with my format and never show my face!
@@bigsmallworlds What sounds like a plan, but yes, UA-cam had asked to either have some photo ID, a film of my face to mark against any future AI stuff, or had said about the channel growing naturally. With that last piece, I can only guess at it being a viewer numbers thing fir their own purposes.
