Kamouraska 2024, Quebec, Canada | Cinematic FPV Drone

Kamouraska is a municipality on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Regional County Municipality of Kamouraska. It has been named one of the top 20 most beautiful villages in the province of Quebec, and the municipality is a member of the Most Beautiful Villages of Quebec Association.
The name "Kamouraska" comes from an Algonquin word meaning "where rushes grow at the water's edge".
The uniformity of the plain is interrupted in several places by projecting rocky ridges called "monadnocks". The local term "cabouron" is, according to some, to be preferred since it was used before the name monadnocks. The name "monadnocks" although being of Native American origin was rather used to designate similar rock formations located mainly in the Maritimes. The term monadnocks appeared much later in the local language. These linear mounds are composed of metamorphic rocks of higher hardness (quartz and sandstone); these are probably strata of rock that were more resistant to glacial erosion and likely remained emerging when the Goldthwait Sea was invaded.
