not gonna lie, i have a feeling this will actually be good. Walton Goggins usually doesnt usually come onto a project unless he really feels it, so that alone excites me.
I'm extremely cautiously optimistic. I'm praying it's good, I'll be pretty upset if I don't like it.
Yeah that's what's calmed me down. To be fair he doesn't know the intricate lore of Fallout, but he *does* know good TV when he sees it. He'll carry the show in my opinion.
Hes excited you can tell
Well, I'm happy for you. I can't shake the feeling that is gonna be trash instead XD
Still, Imma gonna try watching it, giving it a chance, and with an open enough mind to let the show change my mind of it actually turns out to be good.
Let's hope for the best.
I don’t think many people would turn down working with a Nolan though, but that just reinforces your point if anything.
I can't believe he asked Todd about GodHoward, such fan service!
Don't you think it's kind of a cringe way to start an interview?

Mmm really interesting interview! Great questions. F5 is so far away and hearing Todd say like "Dont do that because thats for Fallout 5" is exciting lol. Super hyped for this series.
Seems more PR, reminder they talked about loving Austin, when they fired a lot of their staff there this year.
@@FaytVanguard Yeah thats true, that was a real shame. With the F5 line specifically though I believe it. Pre production and concept phases start really early, F4 was conceptualized pretty soon after Fallout 3.
@@FaytVanguardin all honesty fallout 76 was a disaster
@@FaytVanguard That genuinely has little to no correlation. Companies can't just keep employees, if there's to many people for the objective then there aught to be downsizing. It's not that it's a pleasure for them to do either. They can still love Austin all the same.

Damn, I just realized it's been 9 years since fallout 4, what the hell. And it'll probably be another decade!! until fallout 5. I'll be almost 50 goddamn years old when we get the next fallout game.
And it still relies on player made mods to be playable over the bugs.

Give 76 a try, bugs have been worked out and the game feels alive. Probably a LOT of new players like, tomorrow, too.
the bugs have been worked out??? That's a lie, in fact the latest bug they introduced came with a bonus of a broken hotfix.
I love fallout 4, but 76 and just games as a service in general, not my bag.
Seeing how passionate Johnathan and specially how excited Geneva is it makes me happy to see them behind the show! I'm not trying to get my hopes up but I definitely am looking forward to seeing the show

They will get it, even if S1 lacks some things, they will eventually put things in future seasons. Give it a chance, these people seem to have the grasp of what we need to see.
Christ, if wheel of time or rings of power gets more seasons then this can 100% gain further seasons.
Considering I remember A Canticle for Leibowitz being an inspiration for Fallout and specifically the Brotherhood based on information from Chris Avellone, the show using that as inspiration for the Brotherhood characters is great to hear.
Wrong. Their a tech cult, not religious Fanatics.
@@MLPDethDealr32 You can think whatever you wish but do a quick search for A Canticle for Leibowitz and Chris Avellone and you should bring up results for multiple interviews and Reddit AMAs that he did that all have him saying that A Canticle for Leibowitz was an inspiration for Fallout in general and the Brotherhood specifically. Considering Chris Avellone was one of the original creators of the series and the creator of the Fallout Bible which is still used today to check lore, I'm going to say you are dead wrong. Ill lose my shit when an NCR Ranger shows up
The way they only showed FO4... I don't know (unfortunately).
Probably not going to see the ones I assume you're talking about in force or at all. Whilst still absorbed by the NCR, those guys are the desert rangers based in the Mojave wasteland. You'll have a much greater chance however of seeing the normal New California Republic Rangers with their unique flat hats, aviators and patrol armour.
That said, with the possibility of the NCR-Brotherhood war coming back I suppose they could be mobilised. Their Anti-material rifle would certainly help against power armour.
I don’t think that’s going to happen. But we do see NCR in the trailer.
Only sign of the NCR from promotional material was just a flag nothing else
@@chilbiyito The trailer has a scene with a Brotherhood of Steel soldier in power armor fighting people and one of them has an NCR banner.

She’s right when she said ultimately fallout is funny, weird and full of action. A lot of people get so sucked into lore and reading terminals they forget that.
I was pretty concerned with the first trailer and when this show got announced as a long time fan . But between the most recent trailer and this one gotta say I’m cautiously very optimistic now . Can’t wait to watch!
Goggins just sitting back there, adding credibility.
Where is Ella Purnell in these press interviews? She was in one that I saw and she didnt even speak!

This was extremely impressive to watch, even with no gaming background. I found it very imaginative, rounded, engaging and enjoyable.
he’s so right, as a writer or film maker it is the dream to be able to work on a project like this - and you can tell they had fun with it and loved it when watching.
Interesting is if you look at IMDB the cast for this show has Michael Emerson in only 1 episode. The rest of the cast are in 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. So that must be his head Lucy is carrying around in most of the trailer. The 3 main characters are in 4 or 5 episodes.
Hi,can you tell me what is the intro music to your video here?
Ok,it looks like I'll be subbing Prime. Just to watch this seriews. I've played all the games and love Walton! Anything he's in I'll watch.

and yet she got the Brotherhood completely wrong. And it showed she never bothered reading up on the lore from Fallouts 1 and 2.
It's certainly an influence on the idea of the brotherhood. Regardless, the faction is aloud to change and transform.@@MLPDethDealr32

Being someone who likes history, I like the idea you see bits of the world before. I like learning about the world before the bombs fell.
Great questions!!!!
It's fallout 5 the same way kingdom hearts birth by sleep is Kingdom Hearts 4 (since it was the 4th entry). The fallout tv show can be considered it's own entry that depicts a story in the mainline fallout universe, without literally being the substitute for Fallout 5. New Vegas could be the real Fallout 4 to people tbh XD
They all seem so genuinely passionate about this show and universe. It could all be a facade but at least for now it seems it’s in good hands. I’m especially impressed with Geneva in these interviews.
Lisan Al gahib and his daughter were stand out castings, Walton goggins everyone knew would knock it out of the park and they are properly using someone of his talent. Maximus’ actor, Taylor I think is impressive as well especially since he has a speech impediment. And yeah Geneva nailed it, the tone is dark extreme satire, and they did nail it. And it was nice to see Moises acting again, that dude went through tough stuff, and they gave him a chance out here and he can come back up get work again; he was awesome. I have my gripes with lore mistakes, but it’s easy to forgive this crew everyone seems to be here for the right reasons.
I love that every so often 'Company Man' Todd Howard cracks and you get to see 'Chess Club' Todd Howard
They should have been asking the fallout 1/2 team, they came up with the most of what Todd built on aesthetic wise.
Todd is the original creator of fallout, of course there are other people who had a hand during development of 1&2 but it was Todd’s vision originally
@@BB-ng5bfno it’s not , it was Tim Cains vision . Bethesda bought the rights when interplay went down and Todd took the reins starting with fallout 3 .
@@IamZeus1100 tell me you aren’t a true fallout fan without telling me you aren’t a true fallout fan
Not really. The shows aesthetic seems to borrow much more from Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and New Vegas. The original games seem to barely have a stylistic influence on the show.
@@BB-ng5bf dude where did u get this info from? I don't think Todd had anything to do with Black Isle Studios ever.

If it gets multiple seasons, I just hope that every season will be based on a different vault with new characters.
yoiks! "canticle for leibowitz", i've read it three times, i can never remember how it ends. great book all the same.
funny when i quit out of the game i think odsworth is in the room with me still.
Fallouts tone and inspiration come from fallout 1&2 what are these people talking about. The foundation was laid and cemented before Bethesda and Amazon got their hands on it. Granted it has gotten a lot lighter than it was originally but still.
HYPED!!!! Cannot wait :D
I love Matt Berry as a comedian but he plays himself in everything. Why isn't Stephen Russell, THE voice of Mr Handys voicing them in the show? It would be the perfect bridge between the game and show.
That's what i would want to ask them.
"what happened to your nose?"
"I'm glad I have a nose"
The BoS has always been my favorite faction. The new updated uniforms look clean, but I like that they kept the old power armor and under suits. Maximus looks like an experienced and professional Brotherhood soldier. Can't wait to see the full Yao Guai fight scene!
Is the BOS the bad guys? Cause I remember playing Fallout 3 thinking that they were big hero’s and then playing 4 and thinking they were not so good.
@@oneandonlyJonnySadDepends on the game really. They are either the idealistic good guys, the reluctant, xenophobic helpers of the protagonist, total douchebag hoarders, or a combination of the three. But the closest thing to bad guys they ever were was in Fallout 4, were they were xenophobic, arrogant, stuck-up hoarders with good intentions, that sometimes acted like glorified raiders.

Shady Sands have been confirmed.... And the New California Republic (NCR) confirmed.
Not gonna lie, it's not looking good for the NCR. President Tandy would roll in her grave!!!
Shady sands is a crater. This show is going to retcon Fallout 1 and 2 into being semi canon. Their just pulling the same shit they pulled with Tactics. Bethesda has done nothing but run this franchise into the ground.

@@xXFoxyGrandmaXxHalo has almost nothing to do with the games story. Some similar characters and there is a Halo Ring, a covenant war and Reach falls. I feel like the tone of Fallout is not just how f**ked up the world is, but how the wastelanders change the world as well. For me, especially in Fallout 4, I felt like my actions actually impacted the world and I was changing it for the better, but knowing that I would never be able to change the world completely. having elements like this in the show would warm my heart (not through radiation) ❤.
fallout 5 will be 8x the size of fallout 4 with 64x details trust me 😂
I hope they don’t cheap out in the Alternate-Future-Americana, with nuclear-tech applied to every thing (like cars and planes) and maybe even drivable nuclear cars …

it just works
I see that Todd taught them to use the word "tone" a lot.
3:54
You can tell by the look on Todd's face that he finally realized players might want to be a ghoul.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around them wanting to do a new storyline instead of covering something like fallout new Vegas. Was it a specific intentional plan from Bethesda that this is the new direction that basically this will translate into fallout 5? I wouldn't rave about season 1, it's middle ground okay but I would have lost interest had it not been for the solid interesting storyline of the ghoul and completely what Goggins brought.
