Really interesting comparison. It would be cool to see a video of you casting each. I personally own 6 Moonshine rods and have found them to be the best performing and aesthetically pleasing rods for the value based on how I fish. I have used Orvis, Redington, And Fenwick rods outside of Moonshine. The most important thing is the line you are throwing through any rod and matching it up. RedsFlyShop is great at advising on this. I have Orvis Pro or Scientific Anglers Amplitude Infinity lines running through each, depending on the model.
Id love to get my hands on some more Moonshine rods, and hopefully have a better experience than Ive had in the past. Ive owned many rods from many brands at different levels and there are definitely subtle differences worth noting. I do agree with the line being a SUPER important piece of the puzzle! TFO Mangrove rods are great! I think they are having to move away from them because materials are harder to get and are now offering something similar with a different name.
