ポーランドの画家ヘンリク・シェミラツキによる絵画。ショパンが1829年アントニ・ラジヴィウ公のサロンでピアノを演奏している様子を絵にしたもの。絵の中央で椅子に腰かけているラジヴィウ公は1829年当時、プロイセン領のポーランド自治地域であるポズナン大公国の総督であった。彼は著名な芸術のパトロンであり、ショパンの他にも、ベートーヴェンやパガニーニなども客として招待した。
Painting by Polish artist Henrik Szemiracki. A painting of Chopin playing the piano at the salon of Prince Antoni Radziwiłł in 1829. In 1829, Prince Radziwiłł, who is seated on a chair in the center of the painting, was governor of the Grand Duchy of Poznań, an autonomous region of Poland under Prussia. He was a prominent patron of the arts, and in addition to Chopin, his guests included Beethoven and Paganini.
