WOW it's been over a decade since we made this film. It so heartwarming to see how much folks appreciate this movie now, then when it first was released. I love reading how people enjoyed that it was meant to be campy and pay tribute to the wonderful classic films made. This was def one of the funniest times I ever had on set, and stayed close with most of my cast mates and crew. I still laugh watching myself deliver some of those lines.
You were great in this film and it looks like it was loads of fun to make! I purchased it from Amazon when it was first released. Bootleg copies of the DVD have gone for ridiculous money on ebay, so I put it here to try to save folks a few bucks. If it's ever re-released or gets a streaming deal I will take it down. All the best to you and everyone else that was involved.
I have terrible anxiety and depression. This film makes me feel so much better and soothes my anxiety. I love old horror, this is brilliant. Thank you for uploading.❤ I can't find it to buy anywhere. Please never take It down 🙏 😊
@@littlemissgrooveHave you ever seen The Halloween That Almost Wasn't AKA The Night Dracula Saved The World I think that might make you feel better too.
The copyright claimers must prefer watching it sell for exorbitant prices on ebay rather than finding a streaming deal and making a few bucks themselves.
I recommend the DVD/Blu-ray set called The Wolf Man: The Legacy Collection. It has the original seven films in the Wolf Man series: The Wolf Man, Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, House of Frankenstein, House of Dracula, Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein, Werewolf of London, & She-Wolf of London.
I love the descendant of Lon Chaney is the lead role and the film is so similar to the films his grandfather were in. Doesn't even feel like it was made in 2009.
Good to see a movie with Lon Chaney Jr's Grandson Ron. I want to see if the apple falls close to the tree! Ok, it was a bit on the Ed Wood side, but...it was a nod to the old Universal monster movies, so... Oh, and Larry Talbot's walking stick was a great nod! My nephew has a replica of it!
This was very well done, especially the beginning with the storm, the night, the castle and the monsters, the black and white filming added a great touch.I'd like to see Ron do a black and white version of House On Haunted Hill.
@@Laura-tp8wz I remember that old lady popping up out of nowhere then moving down the hall. Moving without moving her feet. SCARED THE FRIKKEN HELL OUT OF ME. I was 9 years old.

Well, I had a nice summary and synopsis all planned out, but let's just say that it was a "Three Stooges meet Frankenstein" tribute to the old classics that was an "interesting" watch-once. All the elements of a parody that tries to come off as a tribute. It was "fun", once.
Characters were oN poiNT tO .. that 1 lady look like a pin-up girl from way back fine aSA mofo she gets stars for her looks & performance loved it .. 🧛🏽♀️⭐⭐⭐⭐
I like old horror movies I grew up in the fifties and beyond i usually couldn’t wait for Halloween,I heard that is going to be a horror museum in Los Angeles, there is a missing one the old horror like the creature from the black lagoon, the creature grandson issuing a complaint that is grandpa was inducted in the horror hall of fame , I hope that will be added to the fall of fame , I myself would like this museum.
Apparently an attempt to duplicate Young Frankenstein's success. Falls short on comedy, but very effective production values and effective monster makeups. Worth a viewing, especially for us dyed in the wool horror film fans.
I wished I could get my hands on this movie for it goes back to the era of the classic black and white horror universal classics, atmosphereic, good characters, great eerie setting and story to come!! Gary Bailey KingofDarkness 🧛🦇🐺⚰️🪦

I just happen to come across this today. The movie itself was excellent but the ending with the monsters was PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was better than anything coming out of Hollywood these days. I felt like I was a kid again watching Dr Shock's Mad Theatre.
This is... baffling... it's like a parody, but it's not funny. At least, not on purpose... or is it? I'm so confused! EDIT: COWABUNGA UNGAWA?! Are you fucking kidding me?!
Very good movie. I like the black and white homage to Universal studios movie monsters i.e. Dracula Wolf Man Frankenstein. It was a good twist in the end when they see the Wolf Man and cool to see him fighting Frankenstein. Love the Dracula actor here Michael R. Thomas. Great suspense and build up to the ending. Love the castle set the music costumes and acting. Some of the script/actors lines were a little campy silly but then again we have to remember this is a little like a parody of a classic horror movie as well. "Life is short but death is long" could have been spoken plainly or in a spooky voice rather than that silly singing voice lol Loved this movie!!!
I bought the DVD a few years ago. I was expecting it to be bad, like "Manos the Hands of Fate" bad. I was pleasantly surprised. To be sure, it's not a great movie - it drags for a while, and the ending seems rushed (it's like the director said "Hey, we're almost out of money! Gotta wrap this up!). But it has an interesting premise and the actors are pretty good. And it does kind of capture the atmosphere of those old movies.
This is an AWESOME tribute to the old Universal Studios monster movies ( you write better dialogue than Siodmack but you need a little bit of comedy to humanize your characters).
Ron Chaney may be a relative of the great Chaney but that's about it. Sorry, but this acting is on a par with an average high school play. Just my opinion.
I had my doubts. Not Lon Chaney, not Lon Chaney Jr. but Ron Chaney. However, it was a pleasant surprise and true to the likes of the original Frankenstein and The Wolfman, two of my favorites.
The opening title sequence was the best part of the movie, that, and the black-and-white cinematography, which wasn't bad. After that, we were left with poor to so-so acting, characters that weren't really interesting, and a few monsters. Oh, and the makeup is actually quite good. Nothing much happens until about the 45-minute mark, and even then, the action sequences are so badly done, that I lost interest. Paying homage is fine, like Young Frankenstein did as a parody that still honored the old monster flicks. This picture does nothing like that.
I know film making is difficult but I don’t think these actors could have performed more horribly. Good grief would it kill one of them to show a little bit of emotional range. Ugh
AWesome!! SOOOO much better than the crap modern Hollywood is only capable of making today. Even the low budget indie film makers today are a bunch of no-talent brain-washed hacks. The beginning of this film has some parts/scenes that evoke the classic horror movies first in the beginning when the siblings where sitting in the car with rain made me think of Boris Karloff in Old Dark House, followed by the brother and sister standing side by side in the house reminded of the couple in Rocky Horror Picture Show as well. Last but not least the man screaming at the two guys in the rain was reminiscent of Lon Chaney in The Alligator People. I bet if i continue watching i might see a lot more scenes that would Memories of the old classic Universal horror films.
When Sis retorts to her brother "probably because you had your nose buried somewhere TOO! I did a doubletake and thought, times were way more innocent back then, but her statement seems way less vague than I can believe. Great movie! Thanks
That's funny--when the two new visitors came in from the POURING rain, they weren't even wet. Then the next goofball comes to the door, still pouring rain outside, and he's dry as a bone. Next, Elmira shows up, also quite dry (??) And of course Whitlock enters, not one drop of rain on him. Never seen a rainstorm with as much Lightning as this one. Where are they, in the Tropics?
