My last performance as a marching wildcat, one of my favorites.
When you looking for uniformity, clean and projection Bethune-Cookman University is the perfect choice. All Hail Maroon and gold.

Take Me to teh King was Beautiful. Loved it. You can tell in the crowd actually listens to a bit of gospel then they played this.

Im assuming Dr. Wells believes in the theory, "Dont fix whats not Broken"? I could be wrong but just the way I feel. Ive watched this band morph into what they are since he took over in 97. Bethune has a great music program and group of musician. Dr. Wells and his staff needs to step it up before perspective student look past BCU.

My take on how i seen the show. I truly believe the this year showcase at honda was the best in a long time. All 8 band did very well and this is what i rank BCU BAND.

Dance Line A
Enterainment A+

The only reason BCU didn't win, was because we weren't there in numbers like A&T and SCSU. They had sections of people voting, WAIT FOR 2015! Wildcat Nation
i was actually there and the reason tha croud was so dead is because right before tht group of bands went on big sean performed and i thnk its easy to say that its hard to be the croud pleaser after all those people just finished watching a celebrity perform
BCU Is the on school, I can think of, that have a theme song and everybody in the stadium knows it... The 14K never disappoints me!!! They're always A1 and stay showing out... One of the best Dance Lines on the field and the stand... I'm sick of BCU playing Suit and Tie... They played that for so many field shows... There arrangement of Take Me To The King was nice... Well played and the flags routine was cute... Dance Routine A1!!! Yas!!! It was everything... Great Show!!!!

damn right cuz!!! like that's what i'd like to hear a little more from BCU because their Euphoniums are always naturally present but sometimes id like to pop off a little more than usual.

It never leaves my mind that the BCU dance line always look like they can fight somebody. There are the other dancers at Honda that are the pretty girls these girls don't need help.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ADD TO THE FACT THAT BCU IS NOT LIKE ANY OF THE OTHER AVERAGE BANDS OUT THERE. IM NOT TALKING ABOUT SIZE OR ANYTHING OF THAT NATURE... YOU KNOW WHAT LET ME JUST CLARIFY.... FIRST OFF YOU HAVE TO FACTOR IN THE STYLE. THE PRECISION, AND ARRANGEMENTS.( which are just a few variables that make up this program) BCU HAS A CERTAIN STYLE OF PLAYING , MARCHING, AND ATTITUDE TOWARDS MARCHING BAND. IT IS VERY CLEAN, PRECISE, AND IMPACTFUL. THEIR ARRANGEMENTS GIVE YOU A DEEP RICH CLARITY AND BALANCE SPECIFICALLY IN THE BRASS (kudos to Mr.James Portier) . WHEN YOU FACTOR IN ALL OF THESE THINGS YOU GET, BCU AND THE CERTAIN LIMITATIONS THAT THEY GIVE YOU.

It takes a lot of time to change routines so often when working with a huge Band n especially when You're performing for NFL teams other high schools n government officials. B-CU still shut the show down tonight. No Band came close. Hail Wildcats!!!!
Ummmmm, you all performed "Suit and Tie" on September 22, 2013...that's four months ago...
They did do a great job but it was really the same old show. Even if they are a huge band that should not be an excuse. If they can not handle the work load either they need to have less people in the band or have more people on the directors staff to create a new show. I completely understand that they are an excellent band and the NFL and governors want to see but a new show is necessary especially when you make it to Honda. Everytime they go to Honda the basically do a wrap of every song that they played during the season. With UA-cam and all the videos people post of the Marching Wildcats (i sure watch) they should know that someone is going to catch on to the same old songs they are playing. In a wrap up I think they need more people on staff to help with the work load for the shows specifically and (stand music but that's besides the point. lol)

young trap This isn't even about BCU, its about the fact FAMU isn't the best in every category. They were in a few categories like sound quality and the arrangement of their ballads, but no one is the best in every area. As far as awards, really their just awards. Do you how many people there are in the world that are great at sometime but don't get awards? Ok they've been to France! Big deal, they have the funds for that a lot of bands don't. My high school got invited to France for some parade of bands when I was in high school but did we go? No, why? Because we didn't have the funds. While the schools like MLK and Southwest Dekalb could afford to go across the world. Did that make them better than us? No. Stop hating on one band to bring another up.

ALTHOUGH THE WORD "LIMITATION" MAY SOUND BAD , ITS FAR FROM THAT. HINTS THE REASON WHY YOU GET, IN THE BOX, CLEAN AND CRISP FROM BCU. I CAN ALSO SEE THAT THE PEOPLE WHO WRITE STUPID COMMENTS ON HERE WHO DONT DO THEIR PROPER RESEARCH. BECAUSE IF YOU DID YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND WHY BCU STICKS TO THE SAME ROUTINES OFTEN. Yeah. But FAM is the same way at times... Is That just a Florida College Band thing or someting? Ive always wondered that. Even the HIgh school Miami Central Back in the day had Boring Feild shows. And the same one used most of the season... Still Good job to all the students though. There were very polite when leaving the stadium onto there buses, Despite being stupid cold in our City.

can somebody please bring back the '97-04 versions of the PRIDE. i mean really. their shows have been bland the past couple of years. no energy and no variety of music. as a fan, i just don't know if i want to see them as much.

I love BCU, but IT'S TIME TO DO SOMETHING NEW!!!! It's 2014 now and yell doing the same shit since 2011. My wish for 2014 is for yell to get back to the old days. Back in the days BCU used to run the yard. Now NCAT is on top of the band world while FAMU rebuilding & yell (BCU) repeating show and for the last 2 years yell been predictable. please do better, show up (with something new) & show out(LIKE YOU USED TOO)

Cool, Both Famu and Bcu have some great ideas. Once the signature sounds were set, they couldn't copy each others techniques which left to a certain criteria of arranging !!
