The Epitome of how a band suppose to march and sound thank you bethune cookman keep striving for that musical excellence I strongly believe you all will be the next black band to get the Sudler Trophy-it will be well earned
I live in STL , I flew to ATL for this, My First Honda BOTB and I loved it. You won't get anything like this in the Midwest. My Favs--JSU--SCSU-And Bethune Cookman. A Beautiful day at the Georgia Dome.. The Superbowl of HBCU Marching Bands!!!
wow I was in an HBCU marching band and you have to appreciate the beauty in OUR BANDS.. it gives me goose bumps EVERY TIME. recorded or live.. there is NOTHING Like it
The enjoyment I felt watching the 2011 battle of the bands was the best I've ever had, especially since my dad's band Clark Atlanta University was in it. Now, all I can say is that they're just sad happy memories, now that he's gone.
Music quality actually goes up when you play sitting on the floor like that, it forces you to use your diaphragm, which allows for better tone quality and control. Its what my school's band uses to teach diaphragm use.
All I can say - AMAZING! I'm just sitting here with my mouth wide open and watching this, I'm so dissapointed that we don't have something like this in my country.
That's what ppl don't understand. We push the limit. Forget the gimmicks, and dance routine always and will be technical than you've ever seen. Haiiiiiiiiiiiillllll WILDCATS 💯
The only band to be in this battle of the bands showcase for 13 STR8 years. No OTHER band can say that. That shows who really put in work. Haiiiiiiiiiiiillllll WILDCATS 💯

Definitely interesting... My favorite part of the show is actually around the 7:50 point when they actually show musicianship. Anyone can play fff it takes a real musician to play pp or p and make waves with the music. Very nice sound wish the whole show had that dynamic contrast though.
B-CU was on another level yesterday and that sound was immaculate in person. I was nervous that B-CU had to come after SCSU who did a great job but The Pride held their own without any props. It was a good day at the dome yesterday, one of the best Honda's in a couple of years.
I'm a SC State grad..this show sounded better than SC State show but SC State has the crowd more hyped... So SC State and BCU shows were my favorite... Listening to this one and SC State makes me miss HBCU's alot....
This is my sixth HBOTB and this is by far the best performance by Bethune Cookman. I only wish FAMU and Bethune could have continued "The Battle" heads up again. South Carolina State and Jackson State put on great shows but they were no comparison to Bethune. Looking forward to next years show. STL to the ATL.
@YungPrinceOfSong itl be worththe experience trust me you will learn alot and have alot of fun, i just came in back in Aug it was a hel of a ride but fun and always great performing, and the college programs and what the school has to offer isnt bad either lot of oppurtunitez
i love this band they are the mighty wild cats the dopest band i love them and didnt even go there. they always been bad and this is no exception. always wanted to go to bcu. they the best in the meac hands down
This is got to be the baddest band in America and I've seen some good ones, PVAMU, Southern "Human Juke Box", JSU Sonic Boom, Tennessee State Band. Their sound is so full, my goodness, where did they come from all of a sudden?
@MrPhantom2010 This band is awesome. Anyone to criticize BCU's band, let alone any other college band, really needs to get a reality check. They are working hard and it shows.
btw all u bcu haters compare bcu's sound "tuning" to all the other bands and just because other bands can play popular music that dont mean they are playing it good everyone goes by the name of the song but not how it sounds ok maybe you can hear the melody a little bit but trying to compete for sound dominence is not called good until they learn scsu,su,asu that tuning is key bcu will always remain on top
@anonymousowa1 i so agree. Just like the technique we use,sit sideways in a chair and hold your feet in the air. This forces you to use more diaphragm. Always helps with your stamina and tighten your abs.
The Epitome of how a band suppose to march and sound
thank you bethune cookman
keep striving for that musical excellence
I strongly believe you all will be the next black band to get the Sudler Trophy-it will be well earned

I'm white and have done corps-style marching my whole marching 'career' (over 8 years), but DAMN... I would LOVE to be in a band like this!
One of the best experiences yall ever have.
BCU fieldshow songs always have that marching groove, and thee arrangements are PRICELESS!!!!!!
wow I was in an HBCU marching band and you have to appreciate the beauty in OUR BANDS.. it gives me goose bumps EVERY TIME. recorded or live.. there is NOTHING Like it

Never thought any group could be better than a Pat Foster FAMU Band. I stand corrected. The Best Band in the Country.
This Band is the Best!!!
(SU FAN HERE) Bethune is amazing they never change who they are and always has a great sound
This is definitely one of the best sounding traditional bands there is! FAMU has the tradition, but this school has the sound.
Music quality actually goes up when you play sitting on the floor like that, it forces you to use your diaphragm, which allows for better tone quality and control. Its what my school's band uses to teach diaphragm use.
The Undesputed Heavyweight Champions Of All Black College Marching Bands !!!
~Let's Go Wildcats !!!
Man that "Let's Go" gives me goosebumps every time and I marched for TnSU.

This is the baddest band in America. Perfect playing while dancing. It's amazing how much talent there is out there on that field. GO WILDCATS!
This band is the best for its style, but even if it isn't the best overall, it is one of the top bands in the country. I don't care who you are.
All I can say - AMAZING! I'm just sitting here with my mouth wide open and watching this, I'm so dissapointed that we don't have something like this in my country.

Definitely interesting... My favorite part of the show is actually around the 7:50 point when they actually show musicianship. Anyone can play fff it takes a real musician to play pp or p and make waves with the music. Very nice sound wish the whole show had that dynamic contrast though.
Go Mighty Wildcats!! Summer Band Camp '84.
B-CU was on another level yesterday and that sound was immaculate in person. I was nervous that B-CU had to come after SCSU who did a great job but The Pride held their own without any props. It was a good day at the dome yesterday, one of the best Honda's in a couple of years.

@MrPhantom2010 This band is awesome. Anyone to criticize BCU's band, let alone any other college band, really needs to get a reality check. They are working hard and it shows.
