- Returning to Columbus, MS in October to search for James “Ryan” Taylor, who went missing July 14th, 2020, were joined by Ryan’s family, including his parents, brother, and nieces and nephew.
During our search, in an area rumored to hold Ryan’s vehicle and his remains, we located a car in Officers Lake near Proffitt’s Porch. Unfortunately, it did not belong to Ryan, but will be processed as part of his case. With Jacob’s assistance, Lindsay was able to remove her first vehicle. The Lowndes County Sheriff department was on scene and assisted us in lining up the towing companies, Waters Towing & Truck Recovery and Champion’s Towing Recovery.

It was easy to feel that Dennis was still there helping with Jacob and Little Buddy, and I'm sure he will continue to be with your team. There was a definite bond there.
This vehicle recovery was fascinating to follow, especially being Lindsay's first! I love the friendly teasing back and forth between you two ... and I had to burst out laughing with Lindsay's comment, "I think this gives a whole new meaning to "Tippecanoe!" when Jacob was teetering out into the water in the canoe without paddles! LOL!!! You both have such fun-loving personalities.

Bless you both going straight out to search on the same day you heard of Dennis' passing, can see and hear how emotional you both are and by how quiet Jacob was, particularly at the start of the video. Using Little Buddy on this search was definitely a great act in honouring Dennis, and the inclusion of "Dennis Cam" was very touching, really hit me in the feels. Dennis's legacy will live on through the people he taught his ways to. How apt that the recovery company was "Waters". Thinking of you all, and of course Tammy as she navigates this next chapter. I am so sorry for Tammy's loss. This extends to his family, friends, the families they've helped and the entire sonar search and recovery movement. He truly had to have been an exceptional person to donate so much of his money and time into helping others. It's at a time like this that I struggle to find the appropriate words. Dear Tammy, time will never take away your love for him and you have a lifetime of beautiful memories to reflect on, but none of this means a heck of a lot when you are encompassed in the grief of losing your husband of so many years. Please know, you will find comfort in them, that I'm thinking of Dennis today, will pray for Tammy and I wish her well when she's ready to move forward.

Fly high Dennis. I know that Lindsey and Jacob will keep your memory alive. As soon as they mentioned your passing the first thing that came to my mind was the day you guys got the new boat. You all were so happy. Dennis and Tammy were so happy for you two. And Dennis driving the boat. It brought tears to my eyes. I’m sure that it’s just one day of many with them that will forever be embedded in your hearts. Lindsey I thought it was a great honor to Dennis for this to be your first car dive. And Jacob using the Little Buddy. It wasn’t a coincidence that you forgot the inflatable boat just like the name on the truck. These are all little things to let you and especially Jacob know that Dennis is right there with him searching to help ease his pain. You can definitely tell Jacob is struggling. I think this is very understandable as he’s taken a few hard blows recently. My prayers go out to Tammy and their family. And to Lindsey and Jacob. Lindsey you rocked it on your first dive and hook up. Dennis definitely is smiling down. You two have came so far and I love seeing the growth and your accomplishments. I’m so proud♥️
